Our Rate My Team tool and the associated Projections enjoyed an extensive update overnight as we applied tweaked player appearance probabilities based on the pre-season matches.

Further updates are planned today once Andre Ayew is moved to the West Ham squad and Paul Pogba arrives in the game.

We will also be updating the team attack and defence ratings based on the current bookmaker market trends.

Indeed, both Rate My Team and the Projections are likely to be tweaked on a daily basis as further team news breaks over the week. If you’re using these tools, be sure to check back each day to see how the changes reflect on your current selections.

If you’re not using these tools and are wondering how they can help you, we’ve got an FAQ on both of them here.

Meanwhile, late last week we created an updated movie previewing both Rate My Team and the Projections.

    Guys, I have a question. Why is Evans a more popular pick than McAuley? Even his stats says he's better in the Rate My Team section... But isn't McAuley a bigger goal threat? And Evans is more injury prone, and both are starters so I'm not getting it.

        Problem then is with a selection of Stones/Williams/Evans/Kone, there's a risk of being short in defense for GW1.

          Lose one of your big strikers, Ibra or Vardy (I'd suggest the former). It's too much money up front for me.

          If you get a 6.5 that gives you 5M to play with. Upgrade one of your 4.0 defenders to 4.5 (I'd suggest Kone).

          4.5 to boost your midfielders, you can ONLY have one of Capoue, Fletcher and Hoj. That's completely ridiculous with all due respect. Keep Capoue and upgrade the other two to players that are guaranteed to play and carry an attacking threat.

      I'm going with Schmeichel and Jaku, last year I was advised for the 4.5/4.5 by many and it didn't work and then assuming that you're only going to upgrade one keeper, you have less money to work with

          I understand...but that's what I mean: We are not sure where or how he fits, he will share time with Carroll if he plays up top at all, so his appeal is reduced from being the key striker at SWA to now sitting in a much better team with an unclear role.

          In my opinion.....

          a better second keeper, even De Gea will come up against teams that are likely to score
          I am not a massive fan of Leicester defenders, or Leicester in general early this year. too much change
          not a fan of Taylor.
          Bolasie is a weak midfielder to have playing every week, unless u are planning on 4-3-3

      if your spending money on premium gk he should play majority of weeks,so i woldnt worry about jaku as u obviously need those extra funds...i would worry about taylor though(had him myself originally) due to williams move i think swansea will be considerably weaker at the back...all in all a good team 8/10

      I've always wondered how the logistics work with last minute transfers. I mean, is John Stones home right now packing up his house and boxing everything to thrown in the back of a rental truck. Do the club pay someone to do that for him, if so it's creepy that they'd go thru his underwear drawer, or do the club pay his mum to come and do it, offering to give her petrol and lunch money. Obviously they need Johnny up in Manchester ASAP... but he's gotta pack his belongings up first.
