Nathan Redmond has usurped team-mate Dusan Tadic as part of this morning’s Watchlist refresh.

With the dust settled from the opening day’s action, we’ve dipped back into the rankings for our daily re-assessment and promoted the former Norwich winger up the midfield standings.

Priced at just 6.0 and deployed as part of a front two by manager Claude Puel, Redmond appears to be our first priority in the mid-price.

The drop for Tadic is harsh. He was outstanding in the 1-1 draw with Watford and produced some performance statistics that suggest he will be a major Fantasy force over the campaign. We will keep monitoring his displays.

But Redmond got his goal and his own numbers were equally impressive: his potential and value is just too strong.

With Puel talking him up at every opportunity, it would be remiss to overlook his appeal at the expense of Tadic and also striker Shane Long.

Southampton’s fixtures will certainly test Redmond’s output.

Puel’s side must now face trips to Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester. But St Mary’s meetings with Sunderland and Swansea appear to provide the platform for the former Canary to go on producing.

He stacks up behind a cast of heavy-hitting midfielders but may well surpass some of that pack once the Gameweek 1 fixtures are complete.

Today we will be monitoring the performances of Roberto Firmino and Alexis Sanchez in particular.

Further down our list we saw Ross Barkley make positive strides having notched on the opening day once again.

Middlesbrough’s Gaston Ramirez also consolidated his position as our midfield weapon of choice in Aitor Karanka’s ranks.

We’re also showing patience with Andros Townsend. He demonstrated enough to suggest he’ll be a key goal threat for Crystal Palace and his mid-term fixtures remain favourabe. He holds his position as another mid-price consideration.

Further down, Erik Lamela sneaks in to our reckoning. We will be debating his rank further this week, with Dele Alli already coming under pressure as the key target in Tottenham’s midfield ahead of their encouraging schedule.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Also De Gea having something like 40% ownership is a bit of a bugger if Utd to keep a cleanie.

Plus have Utd in a BTTS accy so an early Bmouth goal would be most welcome.

    United fan opinion

    Juan Mata

He's been our sharpest player pre season. Mkhi will be slowly introduced into the side. Don't worry about it. Debut at home against saints i reckon. Hoping and praying this is Jose slowly making Mata first team..hopefully pushing Juan #10 and Mkhi on the right.

Mata has been delightful pre season.

I did the same taking Redmond and capoue out cause I thought Redmond might not start. went vardy capt over looked kun and ibra thinking sunderland be quite good in defence and he only scored cause of a dubious pen. got real unlucky and stuck on 29 points. Valencia martial Oscar Costa and Carrol to play though not that bad

I'd say the most likely explanation is that it's BS, although there were rumours of Lim going to Barca regarding Diego Alves.

If they did sell, it would just be long term thinking given their ages I imagine. Maybe Ter Stegen wants more minutes.

Hart needs to move on then. Same situation a couple of years ago with Panti but it was obviously he wasn't good enough but it's a different situation with Bravo. He's England's keeper and has to be playing.

Potentially could go abroad, trying to think of a big-ish team who needs a goalkeeper in the prem where he could move to.

        Maybe Everton? Liverpool?

Leicester excels at the counter, not possession, and hull didn't play to the foxes strength. This was a good game plan. It could be different with Arsenal, but no Kante also made a difference, IMO. Mahrez also was quite sloppy with possession, which didn't help anyone.

Saw entire match. Kane didn't threaten, but I'm not sure it was his fault. Everton dominated first half, while spurs dominated second. When Janssen came on in the second half, Kane dropped back some. It seemed that lamela and Janssen were the most forward of the attackers for Spurs. It was just one game though....too little data to really judge.
