Dugout Discussion – Man United vs Southampton

The first of 10 Friday night kick-offs of the 2016/17 season gets underway as Man United play host to Southampton at 8pm.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic carries the armband hopes of many heading into Gameweek 2. Second only to Sergio Aguero in this week’s captain poll, another big display from the Swede this evening should continue the bandwagon that’s already earned him in excess of 45% ownership.

There’s also the small matter of Paul Pogba to consider. Having served a one-match ban last weekend, the Frenchman is poised for a second debut and has been named in the hosts’ first XI.

Having emerged victorious from Old Trafford in each of the last two seasons, the Saints will be hoping to take up the role of part poopers once again as Jose Mourinho prepares for his first home match in charge of the Red Devils.

Claude Puel’s side stuttered to a 1-1 home draw against Watford last time out, though produced more attempts on goal that any side in Gameweek 1.

Dusan Tadic created more chances than any other player in the opening round of fixtures, whilst Nathan Redmond’s 75,000 new owners will be looking for a repeat of last week’s goal and subsequent two-point haul against the Hornets.

Fellas I need help. Help a poor meerkat out

Need to free up 0.5m for that Kane > Ibra transfer

    My options:

    1) walker > stones/Williams
    2) Tadic > lamela
    3) Townsend > Ramirez
    4) gray > diomande

As many opinions as possible would be amazing, I'm at a loss

What are people's thoughts on Tadic? Personally I thought he was bright tonight and unlucky not to score, quite happy to keep him next week for Sunderland at home, but how many weeks do we give hit to start scoring before getting rid?

Will be interested to see how Liverpool get on against Burnley tomorrow.

Got an eye on GW3 and think it could be a good week to own Hazard (BUR).

Been one of those lucky ones to have Zlatan (c) tonight and both him and Kun owned since GW1.

Think there's going to be a few twists and turns left in this GW even though the Ibra people are winning right now.

Wouldn't wildcard just for Ibra, take a -4 instead.

A lot could still change before the transfer window closes and a lot of players who haven't really featured yet (Payet, Arsenal players, Everton defenders, etc.) might make themselves attractive options. You could reshape your team for Ibra now only to want to reshape it again to fit others in very shortly...
