Sadio Mane goes into Liverpool’s trip to Burnley as a doubt following a shoulder injury in training. Arsene Wenger will be without both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi for the trip to Leicester City, while Mark Hughes confirms that Jack Butland won’t be risked against Manchester City. Here’s a summary of the known teams news so far…

Ryan Bertrand remainssidelined for Southampton’s trip to Old Trafford this evening due to an ongoing knee complaint. Claude Puel has confirmed that Jose Fonte is in contention to start after stepping up his fitness in training this week.

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Alex Iwobi (thigh) have been ruled out until after the international break after they were forced off injured against Liverpool last weekend. Arsene Wenger has conceded he may have to gamble on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, though won’t start all three. The Gunners boss revealed that Koscielny is the likeliest of the trio to feature in his first XI.

Eddie Howe has confirmed he has “no major concerns” on the injury front as Bournemouth make their way to West Ham on Sunday.

Club record signing Steven Defour could be in line for a start at home to Liverpool, reckons Sean Dyche. Ashley Barnes remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury, whilst the on-loan Jon Flanagan cannot face his parent club.

Mark Hughes has this morning ruled Jack Butland out of a return against Manchester City, whilst Glen Johnson also remains sidelined with a thigh complaint. Shaqiri is also a concern after suffeirng a calf problem in the 1-1- draw with Middlesbrough on the opening day.

Alan Pardew has also updated us this morning with news that both Joe Ledley and Wayne Hennessey are “fitness concerns” ahead of the trip to White Hart Lane. The Eagles boss also indicated that Yohan Cabaye, Jordon Mutch, and James McArthur would likely travel having missed the season opener with West Brom.

Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba are back in contention after serving out one-match suspensions, though Jose Mourinho has admitted that the latter is unable to play 90 minutes due to a lack of match fitness. Jesse Lingard is also available after recovering from a foot problem.

Hugo Lloris is sidelined with a hamstring injury as Spurs welcome Palace to the Lane. Mousa Dembele sits out the fourth of a six-match ban, whilst Heung Min Son has returned from the Olympics and will be assessed.

Sadio Mane remains doubtful for Liverpool’s trip to Burnley with a shoulder injury sustained in training. James Milner and Daniel Sturridge are back in full training, whilst Lucas also has a chance of making it. Mamadou Sakho has stepped up his recovery but is expected to miss out again.

Ronald Koeman will make a late decision on Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Williams’ fitness for Everton’s trip to the Hawthorns. The Belgian returned to full training yesterday without any problems, whilst Williams has stepped up his match fitness over the past week. Seamus Coleman remains absent, though Yannick Bolasie is in line for a debut.

Swansea’s record signing Borja Baston is sidelined with a minor thigh problem. Neil Taylor is likely to miss out again as he builds up his fitness, whilst Leon Britton (illness) is doubtful. Ki Sung-yeung is back in contention to face Hull, with Francesco Guidolin hinting at a start for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

I wonder how a match day on a Friday will pan out in Manchester. Do you think it will be more or less "tourists" visiting Old Trafford than usual?

Not planning on making any transfers until GW 4 so don't feel i need to 'save' my transfer.

Is Shaw to Valencia therefore a reasonable change to make?

Right lads, really been wanting to do Tadic > Lamela (-4) but I'm going to leave it for this week, watch tonight's match, then decide tonight if that's the move I need to make before the price rise. Left 1.0 ITB to do Vardy > Kane this week, but might do Vardy > Ibra if he smashes it tonight.

I have neither but would do exactly the same. Tadic will outscore Lamela significantly this season.

    Hi! Please RTM GW2

Feghouli 75% chance of playing and Fishcer benched again, should I save my transfer?

Or do Feghouli to Ramirz or Puncheon? I'd rather change Feghouli before Fischer as he is injured, even though I know Fischer is not playing.

    Any suggestions from anyone please?

    Jakupovic

Valencia - Amat - Friend (Fuchs) (Targett)

Mahrez - Hazard - Redmond - Feghouli (Fischer)

    Gray - Aguero - Ibrahimovic

    Cheers

    Current defenders:

    Shaw, Baines, Stones (Friend, Pieters)

Thinking of bringing in Amat for Pieters, is it worth it (FT), who would you drop out of Baines or Stones to make way if Amat does get transferred in?

    Mane & Vardy >> Sterling & Costa??

Save the -4 and just do Vards >> Costa?

Costa looked sharp against West Ham and has good fixtures. Gametime risk for Sterling?

Id be tempted to save and wait, Arsenal look ropey at the back and think Costa and sterling have risk attached to their starting positions

  18. Still Unsure
      9 years, 7 months ago

Current thoughts on transfers/hits/price rises. Would be keen to get others opinions.

My proposed changes are Alli/Vardy -> Lamela/Zlatan. There are then two options:
      1) Do it before the deadline, taking a -4 hit.
      2) Wait and use the 2FTs.

The problem is, with both likely to rise tonight (Zlatan definitely), I'll still need to make those changes before they rise, and therefore won't have the opportunity to see the weekend games to reassess. Additionally, if I then have an injury/perceived necessary change later in GW3, I'm taking a hit anyway. Therefore, I'm thinking I might as well get in the players I actually want now, take the hit and the risk that comes with that (both blanking) with the knowledge that I still have another FT next week.

      ???

      Currently on:

      Foster (Heaton)
      Stones, Friend, Evans (Pieters, Souare)
Hazard, Eriksen, Fabregas (last chance), Deulofeu (Kightly)
      Aguero (C), Ibra (V), Negredo

Can't help feeling I'm falling a bit short this week but want to save my FT.

      Thoughts?

Current Overall Rank 529 Never had a start like this (GW1-86points). I got a good 30/40 on some of my league rivals.

Would you play it safe now or is not tempting to do a -4 to get in Mata? I could do De Gea & IWOBI out for Mata and crap goalie.

      De Gea (Jakupovic)
      Valencia, Terry, Walker (Amat, Paredes)
      Hazard, Coutinho, IWOBI, Redmond, Lamela
      Aguero, Ibra (grabban)

Is Sagna favourite to start tomorrow?

Played 90 mins last week but Zaba started on Tuesday. Zaba came off after 60 mins for Sagna, not sure whether rested for Stoke or taken off as he's short on match fitness.

First sub is Feghouli (don't think he'll play), second is Townsend.
