Sadio Mane goes into Liverpool’s trip to Burnley as a doubt following a shoulder injury in training. Arsene Wenger will be without both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Iwobi for the trip to Leicester City, while Mark Hughes confirms that Jack Butland won’t be risked against Manchester City. Here’s a summary of the known teams news so far…

Ryan Bertrand remainssidelined for Southampton’s trip to Old Trafford this evening due to an ongoing knee complaint. Claude Puel has confirmed that Jose Fonte is in contention to start after stepping up his fitness in training this week.

Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Alex Iwobi (thigh) have been ruled out until after the international break after they were forced off injured against Liverpool last weekend. Arsene Wenger has conceded he may have to gamble on the fitness of Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, though won’t start all three. The Gunners boss revealed that Koscielny is the likeliest of the trio to feature in his first XI.

Eddie Howe has confirmed he has “no major concerns” on the injury front as Bournemouth make their way to West Ham on Sunday.

Club record signing Steven Defour could be in line for a start at home to Liverpool, reckons Sean Dyche. Ashley Barnes remains sidelined due to a hamstring injury, whilst the on-loan Jon Flanagan cannot face his parent club.

Mark Hughes has this morning ruled Jack Butland out of a return against Manchester City, whilst Glen Johnson also remains sidelined with a thigh complaint. Shaqiri is also a concern after suffeirng a calf problem in the 1-1- draw with Middlesbrough on the opening day.

Alan Pardew has also updated us this morning with news that both Joe Ledley and Wayne Hennessey are “fitness concerns” ahead of the trip to White Hart Lane. The Eagles boss also indicated that Yohan Cabaye, Jordon Mutch, and James McArthur would likely travel having missed the season opener with West Brom.

Chris Smalling and Paul Pogba are back in contention after serving out one-match suspensions, though Jose Mourinho has admitted that the latter is unable to play 90 minutes due to a lack of match fitness. Jesse Lingard is also available after recovering from a foot problem.

Hugo Lloris is sidelined with a hamstring injury as Spurs welcome Palace to the Lane. Mousa Dembele sits out the fourth of a six-match ban, whilst Heung Min Son has returned from the Olympics and will be assessed.

Sadio Mane remains doubtful for Liverpool’s trip to Burnley with a shoulder injury sustained in training. James Milner and Daniel Sturridge are back in full training, whilst Lucas also has a chance of making it. Mamadou Sakho has stepped up his recovery but is expected to miss out again.

Ronald Koeman will make a late decision on Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Williams’ fitness for Everton’s trip to the Hawthorns. The Belgian returned to full training yesterday without any problems, whilst Williams has stepped up his match fitness over the past week. Seamus Coleman remains absent, though Yannick Bolasie is in line for a debut.

Swansea’s record signing Borja Baston is sidelined with a minor thigh problem. Neil Taylor is likely to miss out again as he builds up his fitness, whilst Leon Britton (illness) is doubtful. Ki Sung-yeung is back in contention to face Hull, with Francesco Guidolin hinting at a start for Gylfi Sigurdsson.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of this evening’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Yeah me too, but the idea of watching the match on a Friday night, beer in hand, cheering him on for his home debut AND having him captain is too appealing. It's only one GW anyway, I'll more or less go back to perma-Kun after this week.

Speaking of, do you not think Aguero will be scoring many under Pep, or did you just want to spread the funds out a bit?

True, but you'd expect better from Arsenal at home. Not sure how a clean sheet can be expected away to Leicester after their display last week....

    Hazard TADIC Redmond Ramirez
    Aguero(c) Zlatan(vc) Vardy

    Jaku Capoue Friend Soare

My plan is to do Vardy & Tadic to Benteke & Ozil GW4.

With this in mind should I tea a punt on Tadic to Lamela for this week, he has a much better fixture.

Anyone else giving Kane the armband? I'm a bit worried about him saying that he's not 100% and the fact that he dropped deeper when Janssen came on last week but if I'm not going to captain him at home to Palace then there is no point paying 11m for him I guess!

Nope. Speaking as an Arsenal fan, we've too many options in central midfield for him to be worth 7.5m. Elneny, Coq, Xhaka, Wilshere will be back soon, Ramsey is only out for a month

    Valdes (DDG)
    Stones, Fuchs, Valencia (Friend, Djilobodji)
    Oscar, Lamela, Tadic, Ramirez (Ramsey)
    Vardy, Aguero, Long

Save FT or replace Ramsey with Lallana (or someone else) and go 3-5-2?

Would you sell Tadic right now?
My strategy from the start of the season is to get Payet onboard on GW4 (fitness + good fixtures) by selling Tadic. I have already funded this. But my team looks good for GW3 so I can do a trasnfer this week and still have 2FT for GW4 and afford this move.

So question is, isn't it smarter to get rid of Tadic right now (don't like this WE fixture too much) and punt on a 2 GW MIDfielder ?

is it non-sence or can it pay off in your opinion?

This is my exact situation! Except I may get Ozil rather than Payet Gw4 but this is the exact question I have been asking all week!

      You've invested plenty in defence

Chelsea's fixtures are defensively pretty tasty tho

Not sure what's my best option for this week. I was going for a straight forward transfer with Heaton out for Foster. However, I feel the Man U v Southampton fixture will have goals so I am tempted to take Mahrez out for either Rooney or Martial. Should I take the chance of Mahrez out yet for this option?

Just realised Rooney is in as a Striker. So it's either Foster or Martial transfer in...

An answer for this would be very helplful.

If, tomorrow morning, I make four transfers (2 FT and a -8), and the day after I decide to go all the way and Wildcard ; Will I still lose 8 points because of the third transfer I made at first or will all the transfers before the Wildcard be free of points deduction ?

    Thanks.

I think the latter (although not totally sure). I've replied to this as I'm not sure if you're aware that the deadline is tonight, not tomorrow morning - Due to the Friday Night Football

A wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. Playing a wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek.
You play a wildcard when you want to make multiple changes to your team, for example Gameweeks when teams are playing more than once, or when your team is underperforming or has a lot of injuries.
When using a wildcard, you must remain within your current budget. There is no unlimited budget when using a wildcard.
The Wildcard chip can be used twice a season, once in the first half of the season (before 31 Dec 14:00) and once in the second half of the season.
Wildcards are played on the transfers page but aren't active until you have confirmed the transfers.

Who to replace Feghouli with (already have Ramirez). I think the best option at 5.5 could be Matt Phillips but not much love for him in these parts. Thoughts?

Hmm for some reason i am debating to bring in a defender this GW eventhough i can easily save... Also, not sure on Gray up top but LIV concede in 95 out of 100 games 😀 (give or take a few )
