Dugout Discussion – Leicester vs Arsenal

Saturday evening comes to a conclusion at the King Power as champions Leicester go head-to-head with Arsenal.

Both sides are already playing catch-up after losing their opening matches of the season.

Claudio Ranieri welcomes back Robert Huth from suspension after conceding twice to Hull last weekend. The Foxes boss also opts to recall Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton as Ahmed Musa and Demarai Gray drop to the bench. New signing Nampalys Mendy comes in for Andy King in the centre of the park.

Arsenal, meanwhile, bring in Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny as they attempt to bounce back from Sunday’s home loss to Liverpool. Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are deemed fit enough to take their places on the bench.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Well im not convinced on Leicester atm. Also not happy with how poorly Delefueo has been performing (in FPL terms), but they now have a lovely run of fixtures. Anyone think its worth shipping Delefueo out after the stoke game for Capuoe (who have a pretty tough few games). My team for GW3 is

    Valdes
    Baines, Friend, Valencia
Mahrez, Hazard, Redmond, Delefueo, Feghouli (providing he is fit)
    Zlatan, Aguerro

    Pickford, Stones, Amat, Diomande

Really annoying to bench Jaku for Foster and Stones for Fuchs, extra 10 points could have been nice

      I almost played Jaku though

you bought Janku in the off chance Foster doesn't play... not to rotate (would be my guess)

      Fuchs vs Arsenal...

i'm doing well not to curse here...

    Hello fellow fantasy friends
Need a lil bit of help here

    happy with the D
    Haz Firmino Lamela Redmond Capoue
    Kun Ibra Gray
    1FT 0ITB

How has Firmino looked stat-wise. I watched the game and he passed the eye-test imo (I actually think he was one of the better players in an otherwise poor Liverpool side). Planning on keeping him (trough the likely droop), rolling the FT and going with 2FTs into the int break (I'd really like to save that WC). Him and Vardy were my only non-scoring players from my attacking 8 in GW1&2 - ditched Vardy yesterday.
I know that you shouldn't post stats from the MA, so a simple Good-Bad would do.

Anything wrong here with this strategy?

I'm doing the same. If he blanks again against Spurs then he'll be out along with someone else for 2 FT's.

So time to ride the Ibra train.

    Sanchez + Carroll > Ibra + 5.5 mid

I'm fancying between Ramirez and Gardner, and already have double Baggies defence. For those who managed to catch the games so far (I'm a weekend shift worker unfortunately) has anyone particularly impressed?

Is it safe to do Kane -> Gray tonight (so I can fund Hazard), or do you think Gray might be banned by FA for those tweets ? Wait until Monday and take the Hazard price rise ?

Yeah the retro ban seems very unlikely although there is precedent like Huth getting banned for his tweets :

        https://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/30/robert-huth-two-match-ban-twitter-fa

Disgusting behaviour by Gray, although he's since apologized for it

So both Arsenal and Everton look to have great fixtures coming up. On that basis, and with 2 FT's...

    A) Firmino to Barkley and keep a FT and cash in the bank for international break

    B) Downgrade a defender (likely Fuchs) and swap Firmino to Ozil/Payet/other 9.5?

    Team is:
    Foster / Jak
    Shaw / Stones / Fuchs / Amat / Friend
    Hazard / Lamela / Firmino / Redmond / Capoue
    Kun / Zlatan / Gray

Yeah Sterling could make a nice little differential, looks to be a new player under Pep.

Am seeing a lot of talk about Ozil with Arsenal's fixture list, tempted to try and get ahead of the trend

So, let me get this straight re: Gray....

Good form pre season - get him in!
Blanks Gw1 - get him out!
Scores Gw2 - get him in!
    Twittergate - get him out!

    No wonder im confussed
