Saturday evening comes to a conclusion at the King Power as champions Leicester go head-to-head with Arsenal.

Both sides are already playing catch-up after losing their opening matches of the season.

Claudio Ranieri welcomes back Robert Huth from suspension after conceding twice to Hull last weekend. The Foxes boss also opts to recall Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton as Ahmed Musa and Demarai Gray drop to the bench. New signing Nampalys Mendy comes in for Andy King in the centre of the park.

Arsenal, meanwhile, bring in Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny as they attempt to bounce back from Sunday’s home loss to Liverpool. Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are deemed fit enough to take their places on the bench.

Depends of the balance of your team.
Everton midfield probably worth investing instead

Ladies and Gents, how to spend the 2 FTs? Struggling to find a decent transfer. Any input appreciated. 🙂

    Foster (Pickford)
Valencia Stones Friend ( Evans Amat)
    Lamela Mahrez Hazard Ramirez (Capoue)
    Kun Zlatan S.Long

    £ 0.5 inb

Long is clearly the weak link but SUN next up. Ship Stones for a Everton/Chelsea def??
    .
Long+ Capoue(if inj) ->> Redmond + Dimonde was the thought initially but not sure now.. 😕

Pickford--> Jaku sounds lame with those Hull fixtures and could be dealt on a Wc 😛

What's people's WC strategy? After GW 3 still plan for most if not played already? What if your team is more or less what you want at that stage? Will you hold out for later?

      1. the axolotl

i could have phrased it better, but if there's like 4 players or so that you'd like to change, then is it worth it? and the price rises need to be considered.

thing is, after a good few GWs your team should be close enough to what you want anyway. the value of a WC diminished with time imo.

At the moment looking at 5/6 - big fixture swing

    6. Fred54
      • 11 Years
      9 years, 7 months ago

Despite scoring 130+ points (overall) with still Negredo and Caroll left and 2 FTs, I hit the WC. Despite the decent start there was a hell of a lot of dross sitting in the squad and was DESPERATE to get Ibra. As I'm going forward with Ibra and Kun need to catch all the price rises and dodge the price falls to extract most from budget. Alreadly lost out on a few 0.1s, with Albrighton going down, Ibra up etc.

Also I'm form over fixtures, don't really give much cop about fixture swings.

I have a habit of hitting it really early, you have to use it sometime in the first 19 GWs. No point hanging on.

Definitely considering. The team's balance looked quite good once it was sanchez, ozil, walcott and giroud.

I am thinking of bringing him in for Eriksen.

Probably will wait until back end of next week for indicators of Wenger's team.

So was Vardy and Leicester very poor today? Never saw the match.

Contemplating whether to give him one more chance against Swansea or biting the bullet and ditching for Ibra (for a hit).

    Any advise / helpful comments?

Leicester were pretty well organised, they were the better team in the second half and could have easily won it. Could/should have had 1-2 pens. Mahrez came into the game late on. Vardy didn't get much space in behind, as will be the case most games - blasted over in his only real chance.

No, but the Iwobi injury helps, and the fact that he wasn't substituted either of the first two matches is a positive sign. 7.5m is also easy to shift out if he loses the spot (unlikely) to OX. Can't see anyone else playing right hand side of front three, as Sanchez plays left or up top.
