Saturday treats us to seven more Gameweek 2 matches, with Stoke entertaining Man City in the early lunchtime kick-off.

Sergio Aguero will be hoping to continue the momentum that’s already harvested six goals in his first four outings under Pep Guardiola.

Having seen Zlatan Ibrahimovic score twice and rack up 13 points last night, though, the Argentine has plenty to do to vindicate his place at the top of this week’s captain poll.

City warmed up for this one with a 5-0 hammering of Steaua Bucharest on Tuesday evening, and their manager has been reluctant to make changes – Pep Guardiola makes just one alteration from that match in Romania, with Nolito replaced by Jesus Navas on the flank.

For the Potters, Shay Given once again deputises for the stricken Jack Butland, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained in training prior to Gameweek 1.

Mark Hughes makes one enforced change for the hosts, with the injured Xherdan Shaqiri repalced by Joe Allen. Bojan is expected to switch to the right flank to allow Allen to tuck in behind Mame Biram Diouf.

    Can somebody please explain to me why referees play advantage simply because the team who were fouled have possession? There are so many occasions when a player is fouled near the middle of the pitch, and the referee plays advantage because his team are passing around in the middle of the pitch. I'm sure most teams at that point would much prefer a free kick to whip into the box.

    Surely to play advantage there has to be an attacking benefit to the team whose player was fouled.

      With no advantage promising breaks can be halted with a relatively meaningless FK allowing defences to reorganise.

      Rubbish. He didn't see the first half foul but he's simply consistently applying the rules. Refs have been told to enforce the rule about holding in the penalty area. Good refereeing. Shame on the rest if they hold back.

              Doesn't matter what size you are he's still a hinderence. Literally had his back turned to the corner just concentrating on stopping his runner with no interest for the ball. Definite penalty.

    Judging by this match I need to load up on penalty taker's. I already have ibra & kun, but no hazard!
    I saved my FT so reckon should do (no MITB)
