We delve into the Gameweek 2 data this Wednesday evening in the first members article of the week. Man United and Sunderland’s new midfielders impress on their first starts, Eden Hazard and Harry Kane’s contrasting fortunes arrive under analysis, whilst Michail Antonio thrives on his return to the Hammers’ flank.
All comments on this site say no. He will rotate most likely, so not confident if you plan to play him. I have him as my sub and if I had the cash for negredo I'd gone with him instead and play 3 up top.
It's interesting who him is.
Hi! How it is looking? Planning to transfer Vardy + Gray -> Benteke + Lukaku next week.
Foster
Valencia | Stones | McAuley
Townsend | Hazard | Redmond | Lamela | Barkley
Kun | Vardy
Heaton | Gray | Friend | Pieters
0.3 ITB, 1FT
With that side when will you play Gray?
You meaning that why I already havent done transfer?
You can't play 5 mids and 3 forwards, so out of Townsend Hazard Redmond Lamela Barkley Kun Benteke Lukaku will you bench ? Most will have a cheap 5th Mid or 3rd forward to spare up funds rather than waste money on the bench ?
Unless you have a cunning rotation plan so cunning you could stick s tail on it and call it a weasel
Aah now I get it.. Yeah it is little bit problem but I have to start making room for expensive midfielder so Im gonna get 1 cheaper midfielder and 1 expensive midfielder like Ozil.
Spot on fella
Sorry. It would help if I read the whole message.
Looks good, or maybe go Bony + Lukaku if Bony ends up going to West Ham?
I've even think about that! Sounds tasty.
Really have no idea what I should be doing:
Foster - Valdes*
Valencia - Stones - Pieters - Souare - Amat
Mahrez - Firmino - Barkley - Redmond - Capoue
Aguero - Ibra - Wilson
1 x FT, 0.5m ITB
Thoughts greatly appreciated.
I would roll the trade over; Wilson out is a priority in my opinion but he can wait until after the break
Cheers Rasping. And if WC'ing next week?
Hmm. A bit tricky. Saints have a plum fixture but I don't like Long. So Rondon as a one week punt might work.
Jafooli who always fools me with the grav which is similar to mine when scrolling though comments. I think give Rondon a shot for a few weeks. Maybe Mahrez to Ozil in a week or two not yet though.
😀
Is yours the one of the football pitch on the side of a hill, with trees in the way? Can't quite see on my iPad.
Yeah Rondon maybe, was planning Marhez > Hazard at some stage but Hazard price rise has screwed that.
Cheers Albright....
Yeah it's just the color of the gravs I think. was going to suggest Hazard too but .1 short.
Yeah I'd be sitting on that lot mate - they look the goods for now. That extra transfer could come in really useful after the international break!
Thanks Test Eagles, was close to WC'ing at the start of the week 😛
It's always tempting ... i felt the same but realistically will only be making 2-3 major changes and the rest is to suit the next few GW's fixtures. It will come in much handier in a few more weeks I suspect!
Do you need to do something? Team looks set and good.
Maybe do Mahrez to Ozil, but that move can also wait another week.
Sit back and relax
Thanks Moin, yeah might hold for now 😮
If anything Wilson out for Negredo/Gray/Rondon, but apart from that looks good, maybe Firmino to Sterling/Pogba if he hasn't done anything in a couple of weeks, no need at all for you to use your wildcard though
Cheers Carlton, all fair points....
What changes can I do for GW 3???
My team
Valdes / Jaku
Valencia / Friend / Dann / Kingsley / Paredes
Mahrez / Coutinho / Martial / Redmond / Capuoe
Kun / Gray / Vardy
Want to get rid of Vardy??
Is the MF ok?? Need some suggestions ??? Whats the fantasy trend for now???
Everyone seems to be getting Barkley in at the moment, if you get him in for one of Mahrez/Coutinho/Martial might free some cash to get Ibra in for Vardy
Vardy Gray to Ibra and a cheapy with decent fixtures and rotates with Watford
Bottomed out last page. Hope nobody minds a repost.
WC side:
Foster Jaku
Bellerin Valencia Baines (Love Amat)
Mahrez Bolasie Redmond Haz (Capue)
Kun Ibra Stuani
0.1 ITB
I am so tempted in freeing up Ibra cash for another decent Mid
Please RMT.
Cheers in advance.
Stuani is a risk which i considered myself, id upgrade. Id go bellerin down to a 5.5 and baines to williams
Mahrez downgrade also instead of downgrading zlatan
Mahrez for this week with a view to change to Payet.
Maybe unfounded but I am going for a wingback strategy for 6 weeks.
Stuani is looking for trouble I reckon. Baines to exp.
Others than him and Bellers that's the ffs template....how many new players did you actually get?
My changes were Bellers Baines Valencia (Love for cash) Hazard Bolasie (Tadic/Redmond for cash) Gray to Stuani for cash.
Sorry Foster also
I would choose Diomande over Stuani
Remove Bellerin and go for a cheaper alternative maybe.
Mahrez is has not been convincing enough to put in my team.
I like him for the next game and easy to go for Payet/Ozil. Stuani a risk I agree.
Don't know about Stuani even at that price.
Redmond > Tadic
Stuani > Rondon
Ibra > Negredo
Have not worked out what is left over. Like Bellerin pick surprising how little Bellerin or Alder picks about even though they seem expensive at this time of the season.
I trust in Bellers to reap good rewards for 6.5% of team value.
Had Tadic and went to Redmond for cash,
Stuani I agree with. Leaving a very weak bench also,
Ibra to Negredo ? ... white coats please ...
Start Capoue or Gray?
Both don't look like scoring, but Gray has a better chance
Why would you say that ... Capoue scored at home against Chelsea and away against Soton ... I'd be saying he could score against anyone right now. Depends a bit on whether Pereyra comes straight in more than anything.
Capoue scored both games, but he isn't Watfords main source of goals. And what are the odds he scores 3 in a row against Arsenal? pretty low imo
Gray cuz he is penalty taker.
No brainer for me. Gray.
If Capoue scores another goal like that lol and makes it 3 in a row then ill be Captaining him from now on.
Advice would be sweet peeps
Foster
Shaw dann williams
Hazard lamela redmond tadic
Aguero zlatan tekkers
Jako capoue collins amat
1) got shaw in to catch his price rise just incase but was planning on valencia.
Same situation with walker and dann
Who do i go?
2)lamela, townsend or bolasie?
3) too early for tekkers?
1. Valencia. Walker or Dann is flip of a coin but I would say Walker. Though trust palace CS but Dann will score.
2. Lamela all day.
3. One week too early. See what happens.
Don't * through
1) Shaw looks just as good as Valencia. Looks like they will share points.
2) Lamela or Bolasie
3) I put Tekkers in this week Did Vardy & Townsend to Tekkers & Hazard. Hoping it pays off...
cheers!
Remond and Tadic is too much. Just go Tadic and get someone else for Redmond. The are alternating between sweet home and horrible away fixtures right now.
Ill take that. i just think tadic is a must.. and redmond as a striker for 6.0 is a no brainer. I still expect more points than any of the other people in that price range!
WC team:
Foster Jakupovic
A.Smith Olsson Holding Souare Byram
Redmond Barkley Hazard Capoue Sterling
Aguero Ibra Gray
1.3 ITB
Any suggestions?
That defence would be a reason to wildcard imo, far too risky
Trying to save the cash to help get in Payet/Ozil if they start performing. Trying to play the fixtures with the 4.5 defenders. Although if the rest of the team looks fine could get a couple of 5.0 defenders in. van Aanholt is the only one that really tempts me though
Looks like Friend is going to be out for Boro. Hmmm who to put first on my bench?
A) Pieters (Everton A)
B) Amat (Leicester A) - Probably not him
C) Hojbjerg (Sunderland H)
If there was ever a game to play Hojbjerg, Sunderland at home would be that game haha. Stoke defence hasn't looked that solid so far and Everton is a tough game
When people say that they are going to WC around the international break, when do you mean specifically? As soon as GW3 starts or just before GW4 starts?
The sooner the better because you can catch risers/fallers
Does anybody know who will replace Friend for Boro?
he might still play
Morning all. Any news on how bad this injury looked? All I can find online (from the Boro Gazette!) is that the injury was 'definite' and Karanka is waiting on the doctor. Doesn't sound great...
As Fabio got injured too and our 3rd left back Husband is also out probably Adam Reach.
Alternatives are Baptiste or maybe even Gibson at left back depending on Ayala but I would say Reach.
International Break is after this GW? or after GW4?
after this, next one after 7
Thanks, will save 1 ft then and pray Musa does something!
After this one
Thanks!
3
Thanks Jafooli!
this one 🙁
I'm surprised none of the current WC's have Ars/WH in them.
😕
...everyone just picking the highest scorers of the last 2 weeks.
That's not the way it works people.
This!
and what do you know!! 😐
I know a jackass when I see one.
no need to be offensive...
Who's your alternatives for Lamela, Barkley or Redmond?
Lanzini when fit/Townsend
...bolassie
Collins and maybe Ozil for me
Both still struggling with too much uncertainty about starting lineups. That said I would look at Ozil if I were doing a WC. Payet only after he competes 90 mins and West Ham buy a striker.
I agree, reason why I've put WC on hold.
Would you consider giroud? Or wait until after the break?
I had ayew. Was considering payet and now also antonio but i this man city fixture is putting me off antonia for the moment.
I am considering Gru, but not yet.
Arsenal will sign Lucas Perez from Deportivo. So Giroud will be prone to rotation.
cheers
How can you fit Ozil/Sanchez/Payet with a team with Hazard Ibra Aguero?
There is more than one way to skin a cat.
Difficult but possible in 352. Also all those names have issues. If one of them could add penos then it would be a no brainer. Particularly ozil/ Payet.
Think we need a few more weeks to see who the best options are out of West Ham / Arsenal. If West Ham sign Remy he will be in my team straight away and will be my West Ham cover
At the expense of the other picks, lots of 4.5 players ... would be ballsy
I have Ozil
Ill try again in a simpler way.
Valencia or shaw
Dann or walker (short term)
Giroud not to be considered? On tekkers atm.
Lamela, bolasie or townsend?
Shaw
Walker
Giroud
Lamela
thanks!
Valencia
Walker
Tekkers
Lamela
Valencia
Walker
Neither
BOLASIEEEEEEE
why so sure about bolasie? lol
Punty.
I'm also going with him this GW
Payet & Firmino -> Hazard & Barkley for -4?
id keep Payet
Over hazard?
Nope not over Hazard. I would get both if possible, but if its between Payet & Hazard get Haz
good... just
We will all sell Valencia/Shaw to balance our books soon.
😉
I got Valencia and Rose intend them to be season keepers. Hoping it works out.
Bench 2 of Friend, Stones, Capoue or Gray.
The average predicted scores in members area say capoue and gray! but if either bag a goal could be looking at decent hauls.
friend, stones i say. friend injured and dont see man city keeping it clean
Sorry at least one of the defenders would need to play as Amat is on the bench, currently on Friend and Capoue as the benched two. Gray or Capoue hmm?
Play Gray for sure.
Gray Stones
Not stones that are grey in color but two players.
Reverse that. Those are who I would play not bench. Sorry.
agreed
If Capoue scores another goal like that for a 3rd week in a row.. then his captain material lol. i dont see that happening. Id rather go the Striker... who is also on Pens.
Yeah, happy with that lads we seem to agree on my initial thoughts of Friend and Capoue bench men! Cheers
Friend & Capoue
Zouma comes back into the picture soon.... bargainnn
This. Can score a goal too.
Chances on Payet's price falling again next week? Will only be on the bench this weekend
Nobody wants a player at that price who isn't starting and isn't fit. He'll drop for sure, even if the manager guarantees on pain of death that he'll start the week after.
When both are fit and firing, who do you prefer and why?
A. Hazard
B. Sanchez
Sanchez, mainly because of slightly better fixtures
Hazard. Cheaper. Hazards best isnt any worse than Sanchezs.
Sanchez - larger points hauls & lower ownership.
based on last season larger point hauls than hazard yeah. thats if your alright with 5 blanks, then a week to make up for all the blanks also.
If Aguero/Zlatan are firing and fit then Hazard because he's consistent.
If the big two are injured I want an on fire Sanchez since he's the better captaincy option, more likely to get a hat trick than Hazard is.
Has to Sanchez for me. He is in my team now (which hasn't worked out yet!). Both top talents but I can see Arsenal scoring quite a few more goals than Chelsea this year.
Will Giroud start? Given that Arsenal's front line is struggling...
I expect say ... Theo hasn't been awesome!
I think he comes off the bench again this week
Even I think the same and cannot predict Arsene at all when it comes to Giroud
I'd be expecting Capoue to play deeper once Pereyra joins the side. Roberto is a genuine CAM with goalscoring abilities, and that's not to say that Capoue can't, clearly. But they've bought Pereyra for that role and sadly I think Capoe will revert back to a CDM role soon.
And that's cool, because he is only a bench fodder.
Yes I can see this happening. Hopefully Pereyra is cheap!
Absolutely. I actually think Capoue is going to be one of the most annoying 5th midfielders of all time. He scores when on the bench, and no doubt when needed later this season he will deliver one pointers or even find his way onto the bench (plenty of competition for the holding midfielders at Watford).
(I'm not saying he isnt the pick of the 4.5s at the moment- he clearly is)
If Friend is injured, play Souare or Pieters?
Friend highly unlikely to play. I'd play Souare for sure
Sheesh i better get back to work. Always a pleasure guys and girls. Peace
Peace be with you my son
Swapped Shaw for Valencia and didn't think about the price change !!!!!
Anyone putting Tekkers in this week or holding off until after internationals?
Holding for now. Trying to keep 2 FTs for the long international break.
And with Remy set to join Palace they are suddenly looking a force to be reckoned with for attacking returns in FPL. Could they end up with a 4-4-2 set up with both strikers on the pitch?
Remy is on my ''never to do again'' list.
As is Carroll.
Haha ... i know what you mean, he's a nightmare. But if he starts and stays fit ...
Nah! You're right!
This^^^^^^
I Triple-captained this fecker
Friend and Evans > Amat and Williams? Not sure about Williams but I want a way into the Everton defence
Have 1.3ITB, if I go Gray > Long then I can afford to go Sterling > Payet
Worth it? I already have Redmond for Southampton
Why do you want Payet?
Not for this weekend, but will be ready for starts after the international break, West Ham have very good fixtures then and he will have a hand in most of the goals, we already saw what he is capable of last year, not sure if Sterling has the potential for goals yet
Am also a West Ham fan so I like to have at least one West Ham player in my team, and Payet is obviously the best choice
Second stab at getting thoughts on this bunch. RMWCT team please;
De Gea, Jaku
Valencia, McAuley, Williams, Pieters, Amat
Hazard, Mahrez, Barkley, Redmond, Capoue
Aguero, Ibra, Diamande
Thanks!
Not going to get much better than that
So who on here as hopped onto the pogba wagon?
Wait for the 1 million Manchester United casuals who all go bat crazy when he scores an assist
Is there a wagon? if so its got no wheels yet.
Can't understand the lack of Pogba love on here. Check his stats from Italy. Watch his first game for United. The guy is constantly getting forward, trying to make things happen, looking to shoot, looking for the killer pass. He will be a good fantasy asset at 8.5m in my opinion, he is well capable of breaking 150 points for the season.
I bought him purely on watching him last week.
Nothing wrong with that approach... many buy players purely based on seeing a name keep flashing up in a green and grey forum!
