    Bottomed:

Quite pleased with my current draft:

    Heaton / Robinson
    Valencia / Williams / Evans / Kone / Amat
    Sanchez / Hazard / Antonio / Snodgrass / Capoue
    Ibra / Kane / Benteke

    0.1 itb.

    Thoughts?

      Yep, like it a lot.
Is Robinson Heaton's understudy? Thought there's another guy in the frame too?
I like the Antonio, Snodgrass, Benteke and Kane picks. Slightly risky that they all come good but calculated risks.
      Defence is great too.

Think Robinson is second choice yeah, he's been the benched goalie for the first three games at least.

Hey lads, do I take out Aguero here? Not sure if I should just hold...bit concerned if he drops again

    Foster - Heaton
    Baines - Valencia - Morgan - Friend - Amat
    Haz - Lamela - Tadic - Bolasie - Capoue
    Kun - Ibra - Gray

0 FT and 0.2 ITB. Thanks!

Just Kun to Costa for now. There's no reason why Mahrez can't outscore Ozil over the next two weeks, and you are asking Ozil to outscore Mahrez by more than four points.

Double United defence, their fixtures turn a bit tricky. Same with WBA. I'm not a big fan of 4-4-2.

Great team. I can tell you've thought it through carefully.

If it bombs, you're not a million miles away from Aguero and/or a formation change.

442? Double United defence with their fixture run and 4.0 Smith? Maybe look at PVA (5.0, so .5 to spend elsewhere) and Amat as a 4.0?

Midfield is stronk, but Costa is always a worry for me - can go missing and attracts both injuries and yellows.

    Picford/Heaton
    Valencia/Williams/Evans/Amat/Collins
    Haz/Sanchaz/Mane/Punchon/Capoue
    Ibra/Lukaku/Defoe

Should I downgrade mane to upgrade punchon to either barkley or lamela? (Liverpool fixture looks good after gw5)
Is collins nailed? any other defender suggestions?

    Thanks.

After over a week of contemplation, it boils down to this:

    A) Safe option: Keep Aguero, get Özil but play Capoue next 2 weeks

    B) Risky option: Get 2 players with potential for lots of points, Sanchez and Lukaku but most likely need a hit to get back Aguero.

My plan is probably going to be getting rid of Sanchez which might be dofficult if he does well in these 2 weeks...

Exactly the illogic of this sell Aguero buy sanchez then sell sanchez buy aguero over 2 weeks
          1. It costs hits
          2. If Sanchez is going to repay those hits and then some over your 5th mid manages then why would you sell him
          3. If Sanchez is not going to perform tremondously enough then why take hits to get him in the first place.

Still considering it... waiting for Gray verdict.

My team is in decent shape so might wait and WC Aguero back in GW6 but not completely sure yet. Still a small chance I WC this week.

          Current team:

          Foster, Jaku
          Valencia, Stones, Evans, Friend, Amat
          Hazard, Firmino, Lamela, Redmond, Capoue
          Aguero, Ibra, Gray

If Gray is suspended can just do Aguero + Gray > 2 of Costa/Luk/Tekkers
Or if he can play I can do:
          A) Aguero > Costa / Luk / Tekkers
          B) Aguero + Lamela > 1 striker + Alexis (-4)

            If grey suspended play capoue.

I went aguero and tadic to lukaku and Alexis. (Still Have carrol on bench).

Lukaka's fixtures swayed you? I thought you were set on Costa?

I'm really happy about my wc team but then 1 game where City goes nuts and I'm screwed. Getting Aguero back in as soon as he returns would minimise this risk but selling Ibra before 2 home games and the clash with Liverpool doesn't seem ideal either. Funding this move is even worse. Selling Lukaku before Bournemouth and Palace, selling Antonio before Middlesbrough and Palace, Firmino before Hull and Swansea. This game is giving me a headache!

This WC is already sending me enough around the twist without worrying about Aguero too. Don't worry about him too much, go with the flow. I wrecked my team last week for Ibra and that got me nowhere.

Rank around 50k, so no real need to take big risks.

Thinking about bringing in someone for Redmond

Would be for a -4 but I’m fine with that. Hits don’t stop your rank soaring in my experience – if they are the right hits...!

    What do you think?

    A. Sterling

    B. Caz

    C. Barkley

        Disagree

A hit is just a purchase decision. Timing is irrelevant if it's good or bad.

I got up to a high of 300 in the world taking at least a hit most weeks (ended around 1400 as I fell for a cute Cali girl and got totally distracted from this stuff, but the point stands!)

Yep... I think you just have to have one of them. Safe call Payet, No money- Antonio. Felling punty - Zaza.

Can I get your thoughts on Lamela vs Liverpool ? . I thought he was awful and he was very lucky with the assist .

This does not fill me with confidence either and with the Champions League around the corner I am worried that there is going to be rotation . Thoughts on these comments ?

“We need a player who is more direct, more aggressive offensively,” Pochettino revealed. “Because we have players like Eriksen, [Heung-Min] Son or Lamela who like the ball played into their feet. So we need someone who has characteristics like we saw from Liverpool, like Sadio Mané, the type of player that can break the defensive line. I'm not talking about kicking or punching someone, only running and having the right mentality.”

I agree he wasn't great, although Tottenham as a team were poor.

I asked a question below regarding how Spurs will line up with Sissoko, as I think he will definitely nail down a starting birth looking at those comments. Most likely on the wing meaning Lamela/ Alli/ Eriksen will fight for 2 spots.

Not a Spurs fan but i would expect:

      Vorm
      Walker Alde Vertonghen Rose
      Dier Dembele (box to box)
      Lamela Eriksen Alli
      Kane

The risk is of course that Eriksen plays wide and Alli drops to the bench with Janssen moving to striker and Kane dropping deeper in more of a 4-4-1-1

Sissoko a non-PL starter, or occasional rotater for Lamela or Eriksen pre-CL games.

Won't be a regularly starter. Can also be deployed in second half of games if the opposition are sitting back, in place of Dier.

Hmm interesting. I would have thought he would be a starter rather than a squad player for depth.

Pretty sure he won't be, despite the huge price tag. Spurs have too much depth of quality. He should start most/all non-PL games though, of which there could be many.

This route to West Ham really has me stumped. Surely with those fixtures one of Lanzini, Payet, Zaza, Antonio, Collins or Feghouli will rack up some serious points. It's just the complete lack of certainty around any of them that is risky ... and perhaps its best just to avoid altogether until the clear choice is obvious.

Why would Payet be an obvious choice? You're right about Masuaka of course, and Antonio has the goals already, just nervous about Bilic tinkering with his formation.

      i might.

the Kun plan i've drawn up needs .2 more.

that would be .1 . . . a Sterling rise would give me the second . . . so would another Kun drop.

plus, i think Heaton's equal to Foster and i've got Evans to cover West Brom.

I didn't WC. I thought it'd be better to use the chance to upgrade my 5th mid with the Aguero cash so AoA is actually worthwhile for once. Perfect timing really with Stones and Shaw highly unlikely to keep a cleansheet as well.

I'll WC Aguero back in so no problems with the number of transfers required to fix the team back up.
