I don't recall any of those claims if I'm honest, and I'd doubt they ever happened in any kind of bulk tbh, particularly as most on here had never heard of Firmino when he joined.
Firmino's a country mile ahead, and has performed better and at a higher level for longer than Depay ever has.
Depay started well, then went to turd. Firmino started slowly but is still Pool's best player, imo.

couts will score and disappear,firmino did a lot so far,but not fpl wise.mane looked dangerous,we are yet to learn about him and his true value in red shirt.lallana does a lot of difensive work nowadays,hendo doesn't exist,wijnaldum trying to find himself too.
even though I am a supporter,it's a mish mash currently.
Long term: Firmino. Mane needs to prove he can be consistent.

This feels almost like the Sancez vs. Ozil debate, but with a little less difference in price. If you like purple patches of explosive hauls, with some real stinker runs thrown in, then Mane. If you prefer someone who is likely to tick along all year and end the season with 9 goals and 12 assists, then Firmino.
Yeah I'm torn myself between the two, looking at the comments it's torn on here too!
Yeah, personally, I prefer to watch Mane (and Sanchez) play, but tend to like the stability of Firmino (and Ozil) on my fantasy team.
I would say Firmino if Klopp starts utilising a striker.
Don't see any love for Coutinho. He too has his double digit hauls but is a bit inconsistent. I think all of them are going to share points.
This. Think Mane looked great so far, but Firmino seems to have a lot higher assist potential looking at the stats.

He may be on a scoring streak which means he is the arsenal asset to have but Ozil will provide greater consistency so it's a toss up, price is a big factor too of course
Because they think he is a better pick. Others think Ozil is a better pick with 1.5M to get a better player. Personal choice. Everyone will try to convince you their pick is better. Just pick who you think is getter but take into account the player you would have with that 1.5M. e.g. Sanchez/6M or Ozil/7.5M

The issue with arsenal coverage is that the two main routes into their attack are highly priced. Compared for example to Liverpool who I think are equally potent in attack. However with Liverpool the points are spread out more.
