After taking a look at the main goal threat from Fantasy Premier League defenders priced at 5.0 and under earlier in the week, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling high up on our shopping lists after bagging double-figure hauls in Gameweek 3, the need for value in midfield is vital.
This time around, then, we look at the leading contenders in the sub-8.0 bracket over the first three rounds of fixtures.
Is Baines Mirallas and lukaku too much Everton.I already have the first two.
Yeah, 2 too many IMO. Baines is a good shout.
No I think you can add a fourth and have perfect points coverage!
4?
Fell for it then 🙂
I thought u was going bonkers thinking 4 possible
Ha not as bonkers as some of my transfers
Sorry I know Im late, but Lukakuuuuuu. Finally he scores.
International. His international scoring has not been in question. Plus it is Cyprus.
I dont care. He scored!
All it takes is a run of good form in internationals to leak into the premier league.
It's certainly better than not scoring
That goal (and hopefully more to come) might help his confidence though.
And each game he plays, he gains more match fitness...
Did he only score 1 against Cyprus?
I will put him in for 1 match in place of bony cause stole have Spurs visit
Scoutcast link is already up.
When is it?
9:45pm.
They're early 🙂
Looking forward to it
Did Jonty WC?
Yeah. And Mark, and possibly Andy
Oooo. Should be a cracker.
Won't be long before it's down, then up, then down, then up, then down and then we give up
Lol
Sounds like me on a sat night:)
Rank these 3 players in terms of best to get with Kun money....
A) Costa
B) Lukaku
C) Sanchez / Ozil

Can't wait for Villa to be promoted back only to hear the Ross McCormack chant
RMT PLEASE. Wildcard Active
Heaton(pickford)
Valencia/Collins/Baines (Amat/Evans)
Sterling/Lamela/Hazard/Antonio (Capoue)
Ibra/Benteke/Costa
Any changes you will do? any thoughts will be appreciate
Is Valencia playing the derby? Nice team
Looks good
I am hoping for him to pull through. My only issue is i got no Arsenal coverage. hmm
Lots of work to do yet, if I were you cancel your wildcard (hopefully you haven't committed to playing it)
Sweden 1 Holland 0
Holland are f**ked
They are a shambles
Memphis says hi
Better than Firmino though.
The new Ronaldo
Were people saying that or is that another you've made up?
I don't recall any of those claims if I'm honest, and I'd doubt they ever happened in any kind of bulk tbh, particularly as most on here had never heard of Firmino when he joined.
Firmino's a country mile ahead, and has performed better and at a higher level for longer than Depay ever has.
Depay started well, then went to turd. Firmino started slowly but is still Pool's best player, imo.
WC Team:
Foster - Pickford
23m DEF
Hazard - Sanchez - Ozil - Snodgrass - Capoue
Ibra - Benteke - 9m
GW6:
9m -> Aguero, drop Sanchez/Ozil -> 7m/5.5m
Thoughts?
Think i'd be happy having the big 4.
Sweden - ONE
The Blind leading the Blind - ZERO
How's Janssen been?
Decent enough.
Been quite threatening and had 2 chances I think.
Lively, had some great efforts blocked/saved.
Cheers people. He can't do worse than Kane
Zlatan playing?
Lol he has retired man
Ha, No.
He is done with national team 🙁 an era is over
Why do I end up having Barkley every season. Stats are good but I know he'll disapoint me once again
Cuz ur Barkin mad
Ross is boss
poor mans coutinho for me.......
please advice
why a lot of love for benteke > lukaku ???
Price would be only thing for me, also on pens probably
Palace will set up to suit tekkers strengths. Could be a real powerhouse
They really won't score many though, so regardless of how well he does he's only really likely to score 1 in 2 or 3 at best.
defoe is better ? (7.1) and gurantee on pens + cheaper , tekkers (7.4)
Mahrez owners, selling tonight? 🙂
Both Shaw and Valencia doubtful for the derby, hope at least one pulls through.
They will both be fit
Valencia arriving back 24 hours before kickoff from South America, dunno about that. Here's hoping
Shaw will play. Valencia will probably play too.
Ndong yellow
Rusty nail n dong yellow
Any good?
Stekelenburg pickford
Shaw robertson evans williams amat
Hazard cazorla firmino mirralas capoue
Ibra costa benteke
Exact cash itb to do ibra to kun
Any feedback appreciated, cheers
If this were my team, I wouldn't want Stekelenburg, Roberson and Mirallas, think there are better options
Have done robertson to collins
Long term
Mane, Coutinho or Firmino?
Mane
Mane
Firmino
Long term I think Id actually say Firmino
nothing's long term with liverpool assets
why do you say that?
sorry, answered a comment below this one.
inconsistency.
couts will score and disappear, firmino did a lot so far,but not fpl wise.mane looked dangerous,we are yet to learn about him and his true value in red shirt.lallana does a lot of difensive work nowadays, hendo doesn't exist, wijnaldum trying to find himself too.
even though I am a supporter,it's a mish mash currently.
Long term: Firmino. Mane needs to prove he can be consistent.
I owned him for 9 games last year, got 21pts from him. Points dodging at it's finest. Never again 🙂
Unlucky 😆
Probably Mane
This feels almost like the Sancez vs. Ozil debate, but with a little less difference in price. If you like purple patches of explosive hauls, with some real stinker runs thrown in, then Mane. If you prefer someone who is likely to tick along all year and end the season with 9 goals and 12 assists, then Firmino.
Yeah I'm torn myself between the two, looking at the comments it's torn on here too!
Yeah, personally, I prefer to watch Mane (and Sanchez) play, but tend to like the stability of Firmino (and Ozil) on my fantasy team.
I would say Firmino if Klopp starts utilising a striker.
Don't see any love for Coutinho. He too has his double digit hauls but is a bit inconsistent. I think all of them are going to share points.
This. Think Mane looked great so far, but Firmino seems to have a lot higher assist potential looking at the stats.
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for being patient with me...
Sorry but I missed them
That would be a great facial tattoo
Why are people choosing Sanchez instead of Özil?
He scores more points.. Radical I know
Gray owners, what are you doing?
All this ban talk is putting me off owning him
No idea, ask a Gray owner 😉
Keeping for this GW and sell after he will finally receive the ban he wanted to delay.
daddy or chips
U wot
Costs more money.
He may be on a scoring streak which means he is the arsenal asset to have but Ozil will provide greater consistency so it's a toss up, price is a big factor too of course
Because they think he is a better pick. Others think Ozil is a better pick with 1.5M to get a better player. Personal choice. Everyone will try to convince you their pick is better. Just pick who you think is getter but take into account the player you would have with that 1.5M. e.g. Sanchez/6M or Ozil/7.5M
Yet hardly anyone can see this argument when I tout Rooney +2.8m over Zlatan. Very selective, weird that
I didn't comment on that but tbf I see that as slightly different. Rooney is terrible 🙂
Not in FPL when you look at what you can get for the extra money.
I see your point. I personally wouldn't feel ok having Rooney even with 2.5M. I want Ibra. I feel ok having Ozil in my team. Again, its personal choice. I Just think Ozil will keep up with Sanchez even without the price difference.
Also any news on Friend injury?
My mate is fine just a slight concussion
Just saw the Swedish goal, comical defending. 😆
Agree!
Janmaat been awful also.
1-1 half time at the North Kent Classico
Dartford v Welling
None of the players are going to be in our teams !
Any streams where we can which it?
watch
Please mod yourself
Gray owners, what are you doing?
All this ban talk is putting me off owning him
Sold for Bony
Keep this week.
Next week Gray -> Benteke/Bony.
I think he's free to play this weekend. I like the fixture so I'm keeping until next week.
As I am WCing in GW6, I am trying to look at the next 2 GWs only.
Should I:
A. GW4: Tadic ➡ Sanchez (-4)
GW5: Gray ➡ FWD up to 6.6 (ex. Rondon, Remy, Austin)
B. GW4: Tadic ➡ Ozil (-4)
GW5: Gray ➡ FWD up to 8.1 (ex. Benteke, Bony, Zaza, Iheanacho)
?
B looks better. You could simply keep Gray.
Sanchez and Sterling
Or
Ozil and Firmino ?
OF
I have Ozil, Sterling and Firmino. Best tripple in mid imo. (+ Haz)
Nice. Been striving for that but also want Antonio for WHU cover. Stupid game.
If you keep those then no Ibra/Aguero double up for you.
Should I transfer out (on a WC) foster as I have put McCauley in defence?
I don't like to double up so was thinking of putting Heaton instead - don't want to do it as foster is 4.6 then need to put him back for more
Wait til foster rises and yes
Thanks
He is rising to 4.7 any moment, so you could sell him for a 0.1 profit. I'm on a WC and keeping Heaton.
Thanks bud
Oh ok I will hold out till nearer weekend then
Lukaku-Antonio
or
Costa-Mirallas
???

A by miiiiiiiilllleeessss!
I had a moment of weakness looking at those shiny "goal threat" headings and became a member again
Bet you were disappointed when you saw whos top
hah yeah i pretty much just used it to make myself feel better about the picks i was already going to make
I have the money itb after wildcard to put kun in over ibra - quite like my team without both in it tbh
I could keep ibra but as a united fan the first time I put him in he drew a blank lol
The issue with arsenal coverage is that the two main routes into their attack are highly priced. Compared for example to Liverpool who I think are equally potent in attack. However with Liverpool the points are spread out more.
A or B?
A. Sanchez & Lamela
B. Ozil & Mane
B
