After taking a look at the main goal threat from Fantasy Premier League defenders priced at 5.0 and under earlier in the week, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling high up on our shopping lists after bagging double-figure hauls in Gameweek 3, the need for value in midfield is vital.
This time around, then, we look at the leading contenders in the sub-8.0 bracket over the first three rounds of fixtures.
Giroud lol
Can you imagine Aussie commentary on that..
Would have got ripped a new one..
We need more commentators like that chap
Giroud misses a great chance.
Another? He had an air shot from 5 yards when I was watching earlier. He will never be consistent enough imo
Yep. Just hit the crossbar too.
Mame Diouf is an early doubt for the clash versus Tottenham after returning from international duty with a tight hamstring. [Sentinel] #SCFC
*scraps wildcard team*
*takes him out for a hit*
Bony. 🙂
Tempted Berb?
Yeah. It just depends whether I Lukaku or not.
fixtures bla bla bla 😉
I get a feeling Jonty/Mark/Andy may sell the idea of getting Lukaku tonight..might have to avoid the scoutcast 😉
Been on a road trip for the past few days.
What have I missed other than Lukakaaaaaaaa!!!! 😀
Me.
I know right.
xx
Home bowl
What's that bc? 😀
Bhosdika 😀
Yaha gaaliyan dene mei feel nahi hai bhai
Thik hai band karta hoon. 😀
Harry Kane has forgotten how to play football
Time for him to f%ck off from my transfers plans then...
If you had to pick 5 defenders for your WC team, who would you go with? Assuming that you can't spend too much and need a few 4.5's.
Thanks!
Baines. Valencia. Amat. Wba defender. Souare
Or upgrade one to stones
evans, one of shaw and val, stones, everton def and spurs def.
Way too much invested imo.
You would be benching Evans and someone premium each week.
true. can't see past evans and a united full back though. and think everton could be very good in defence with koeman in charge
how much do you want to spend?
Shaw/Valencia, Baines, PVA/Masuaku, Evans/other 4.5 if you have Foster, Amat
Was all set to ditch Redmond before this article.
Arrggghhh
hes still the best 6m mid imo
@BoringMilner 1m1 minute ago
Congrats to Marcus Rashford for scoring a hat-trick for England u21s. I've sent you some classic English tea and biscuits in celebration.
No Payet on French team?
On the bench
Any particular reason bud....
Now on the pitch
Guys I'm thinking about getting Bale into my team, currently playing OOP at Spurs. Reckon he's any good?
na hes a better left back
Donkey Bar
Damn Lukaku, so many more will get you now -.-
Antonio's stats are mad considering he's played at right back twice
Started at right back.
Huh?
I think he has been moved further forward during the games.
Nah, he hasn't
GW2 he was moved forward at HT. GW3, the same. Scored after he got moved forward twice. Started RWB GW3
Sorry, he started on the wing GW2 didn't he. Got moved forward at HT, gw3
That makes sense as his av position is a bit higher GW3. Still though.
It's GW2 I'm referring to as the game he didnt play RB though
Well perhaps he has Im not sure
Has he not he scored twice that helps
I'm not sure what your point is
Lol you've been getting some harsh replies recently 🙁
Lol that reply makes no sense. It's like saying 'hes been getting a lot of touches in the box, that helps'
Point is he scored two goals which helps his stats read cos it looks like a defensive stat and it's not, if you see the West Ham games he was give a more advanced position when they went behind and Byram was subbed in ... He's a terrible defender hope he never plays there again and I'm also reckoning Byram as my forth defender .....
Goals scored is just another stat. Just like touches in the box, attempts, shots on target. I'm saying he has good stats considering if you look at his average position, in two of the games hes in his own half.
On my radar for potential WC GW 6.
Agreed. Redmond has surprised me with his stats as well
Contemplating keeping Redmond now....
Redmonds stats dont surprise me tbh, we've known hes playing in a semi striker role so theyre to be expected. The problem is hes not a striker
Took a -8 to get this. Should I wildcard to fix some defensive issues (not pressing). Or hold the card to bring kun back
Foster. Jak
Byram. Stones. Amat. Baines. Peters
Firmino. Hazard. Capoue. Alexis. Sterling
Zaza. Benteke. Ibra
no... people are wilcarding to this
A) Baines + Souare
B) Williams + PvA
A purely because of the pens
B
So the big question tonight:
When Alexis's injures himself playing for Chile will we have enough time to transfer him to Ozil before he rises in price ?
Haha imagine the wildcards
According to Spanish paper Mundo Deportivo, Lionel Messi’s son Thiago has signed for Barcelona at the age of 3..
WTF
😀
They must have noticed some quality dribbling
It was very generous of Wenger to rest his players so they would be fresh for international duty
😆
LOL!
Best option til xmas chaps?
A.) Lanzini and Redmond
B.) Antonio and Snodgrass
This article has me reconsidering
B for me.
B
Lanzini and Snodgrass
Use the ££ elsewhere?
B. Redmond game time MIGHT become under threat
Lukaku in?
Was always the plan,
Maybe it's my anti Man U bias, but going off template here. Is this totally stupid?
Cech, Pickford
Walker, Williams, Collins, Evans, Amat
Sanchez, Hazard, Sterling, Antonio, Rodwell
Costa, Lukaku, Bony/Benteke (I'm torn)
Not seeing a lot of Arsenal defense over Man U (not sure why though); PIckford fills in for Cech's one bad start in the next 8ish gameweeks
Not seeing a lot of teams without Ibra (a bit scary TBH).
United have a stronger defence than United. Particularly given their manager.
Not having ibra when aguero is out is scary. Also hard to ignore united defence
luxembourg equalizes in bulgaria.
what a team.
Lots off people on here now have Antonio but I don't think he is nailed if Feghouli is back and performs well I can't see Billic putting him on the bench he wasn't brought in to sit on the bench which would mean either Lanzini or Antonio will be dropped. Thoughts?
Antonio totally nailed
Lukaku 2 goals
Aguero ➡ Lukaku done.
Foster or Heaton this week?? What are people doing?
Foster every week. No headache.
See your point. First year doing rotation and not liking it
Luxembourg beating Bulgaria 🙂
A. Lamela and Evans (or other 4.5 def)
B. Redmond and Kos
RMT says B by miles but I keep coming back to A
My current WC team. Is no Everton mid and no Spurs at all going to be detrimental?
Foster
Valencia McAuley Baines
Antonio Sanchez Sterling Hazard
Defoe Ibra Benteke
Heaton Souare Capoue Amat
IT'S A TRAP !
A) Benteke + Redmond
B) Bony & Redmond
C) Remy and Lallana
D) Rondon 'n' Lallana
On wildcard. Thanks!
A or B.
Thanks
luxembourg leads in bulgaria!
heroes.
