Dugout Discussion – Liverpool vs Leicester

Share:

Saturdays’s events conclude at Anfield when Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will host champions Leicester City.

The big teamsheet news is that Klopp has made the decision to keep Philippe Coutinho on the bench, despite flying him back early from international duty with Brazil. That allows Daniel Sturridge to earn a second start of the season, whilst Lucas has to come into to central defence with Dejan Lovren ruled out with an injury sustained in training.

Claudio Ranieri’s Leicester City are unchanged as they bid to build on their 2-1 win over Swansea City in Gameweek 3. There’s no place on the bench for new signing Islam Slimani.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

gray to lukaku for free is a decent move?

lamela to antonio for an additional -4?

Can someone tell me why Cech's OG hasn't gone down as a Tadic assist (on sky)?

Baines identical assist for Given's OG was awarded just two weeks ago!

Penalty vs free kick might be an issue.

      Open Controls
  17. Freddie Cutecat
    10 years, 1 month ago

    Re-post

So Baines has his penalty saved last week, only for it to rebound off the post and hit the keeper and go in the goal- and he gets an assist

But Tadic strikes a free kick only for it to be saved, hit the crossbar and rebound off the keeper into the goal- and gets no assist

Anyone have a good explanation for that?

Before anyone says that baines pen was not saved- Given was awarded 5 points for a pen save last gameweek so that cannot be used as an argument

I feel I should say something officially

Contentious assists can get added retrospectively, don't worry about it. If it isn't added by the time the leagues update tonight then you have reason to complain.

      cech saved tadic's freekick

      just a guess

As I explained in my post

        Given also saved baines penalty

So that argument is not valid

Cech tipped the ball onto the bar, then it hit him and went in, so the last touch before the own goal was not by Tadic ?
