Dugout Discussion – Sunderland vs Everton

Gameweek 4 comes to its conclusion this evening as Sunderland welcome Everton to the Stadium of Light.

Both sides roll up in contrasting form – whilst the Black Cats have yet to win, their visitors are unbeaten so far under new manager Ronald Koeman.

Two goals in the first three means Jermain Defoe is the man most likely to help David Moyes get one over his former club.

At the other end of the pitch, Patrick van Aanholt netted in his previous home appearance and Jordan Pickford’s owners are boosted by another start for the 4.0-price keeper.

For the Toffees, Ross Barkley is by far the most popular FPL pick, sitting in over 18% of squads.

With Koeman’s side set for an excellent run of fixtures, this evening’s match allows us the opportunity to also scout the likes of Leighton Baines, Romelu Lukaku and potentially even Kevin Mirallas, who starts for the fourth straight fixture under the Dutchman.

    Ended with 76. Obviously Hazard and Alexis each got 1 point, but the real sour notes of my WC were getting Masuaku (who may yet repay the faith!) and selling Capoue.

      If money is no problem, could be a good pick, but there are better ones for not much more (Zaha, Snodgrass), Capoue is of course the best one, but I assume you already have him?

    I am playing my wild card and don't know whether to plan for the return of Aguero, or run with this team and splurge the cash on improving defence/mid.

        I don't think so. Mirallas has always been a very selfish goalscoring winger, easy a 7.5-8m player (like when he was nailed), Bolasie is a dribbler that delivers once in 7 games.

    With Lukaku form (Got me over the line in my head to head match this week thankfully) I think I might wait until next international break to get Aguero back in with the main worry of not having him against Swansea but its Tottenham after and then the break.

    Could work nicely ,unless injury on rest of the squad though obviously.
