Fantasy Football Scout is pleased to announce the launch of the 13th instalment of our open-to-all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

This time around there will be more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

For UK entrants that take part in the Cup, FanDuel is also offering a £10 free credit added to their account when they play their first game.

This is in addition to another exclusive offer for this weekend only, where the first 300 new FanDuel customers who register before Midday on Saturday will get £5 bonus credit added to their account, with no deposit required.

Sign up to our latest Cup competition via the entry form here to join our previous winners – donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark and our reigning champion Leon Harris in our Cup hall of fame.

If you’re new to all this, read on for a FAQ on the competitions.

How do the cup competitions work?

The FanDuel sponsored FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall standings will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round will take place in Gameweek 11, with the first round running in Gameweek 12.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to Monday November 7, when we’ll stop entry.

The first round will consist of 1024 teams and, as usual, all the competition’s previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 11. FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions.

Previous winners must enter to be included.

How do I enter?

Enter the FanDuel sponsored FFS Cup via the entry form here.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

You entry is only confirmed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

This confirmation email will also contain FanDuel’s promo code for UK entrants to access their £10 credit.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of current entries.

How do I find my FPL team Id?

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number or your Gameweek History URL in the FPL id field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round cups will be published shortly after Gameweek 11 has concluded and then weekly from that point on.

What is the Gameweek Schedule?

This cup competition will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

Note that some Gameweeks are skipped due to tight turnaround times.

FanDuel Cup Round Dates

Qualifying – Gameweek 11

Round 1 – 1024 teams – Gameweek 12
Round 2 – 512 teams – Gameweek 13

Round 7 – 16 teams – Gameweek 19
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 21
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 22

Do I have to enter if I’m previous winner?

Yes, because your FPL team ID will have changed, we will need to record your entry again. A a previous winner, you will be given a bye to the first round proper.

Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter. You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles. You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament, should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.

tempted by Valencia to Vertonghen til I had a looked at the stats

    0 goal attempts
0 touches in the penalty area

What has happened to him, he used to be a great defender for shots and goals...

      Hi Evs 🙂

Teams looking pretty similar to mine (not a good thing).
I'd probably do Ibra and Fletcher to Benteke and Walcott in your position, i'm considering it for a -4.

Double arsenal with swana, boro and sunderland... it doesnt get much better than those 3.

Not sold on Rashford imo. Makes mistakes (Mourinho hates that), playing on the wing, Martial lurking...

I sold him a few weeks ago for Sanchez.
Great option, but not convinved on City without De Bruyne. All gonna change when he's back, so he'll be back on my radar.

I agree with AZ here. Predict they're going to score a ton of goals in the next few. Hence both Sanch and Walcott.

Pretty much the same set up I had after last week. Decided to switch to 3-5-2
Went Capoue, De Roon, Ibra -> Feo, Son, Stuani for -4.
So decide on the formation first i guess.

Tekkers has West Ham next, Deeney has some nice fixtures coming up.
I'd perhaps fancy an Ars or Spuds defender. Ars fixtures better. Dann a big shout nearing fitness. Loads of nice mid price mids.
          Just my 2ps worth. GL.

Last decision to make before the deadline is captain. It's on Sanchez right now and would keep it on him, but just not 100% sure on him starting on Saturday

    Sanchez, Coutinho, Sterling, Capoue
    Aguero, Lukaku, Deeney

    Valencia, Stones, Baines (Amat, Friend)

    Valencia > Koscielny
    Stones > A. Smith for a -4

    Yay or Nay?

The above WC leaves me with 0.0 in the bank..

    Grant - Pickford
    Mustafi - Walker - Lovren - Holebas - Amat
Sanchez - Firminho - Walcott - Snoddy - De Roon
    Aguero - Lukaku - Bentekke

Would anybody like to offer an opinion or suggestion for improvement?
Feel like im lacking Toby A or Bellerin...?
Ive gone from a 5 man mid to 4 with 3 solid strikers..
    Many thanks..

just like you "mehed" when Alexis got rested v soton

"Alexis doesn't do tired" was a hot topic 🙂

let's not be arrogant just because we have Alexis ( I don't ), there is a real chance he will be dropped.

        Simple as.

He may not. It looked equally unlikely after the last international break but he was rested despite what we thought.

Thanks Viper, hmmm so he is! Think im still fairly set on getting rid, probably going to backfire but i reckon Walcott can match him for points in the next 3

I have two Everton defenders, one needs to go for an Arsenal defender.

    Should I sell

    A. Coleman
    B. Baines

    For

    1. Koscielny
    2. Mustafi

Tricky, i would say Baines because i dont think he has the set piece advantage like he used to, flip a coin for both options IMO, not much between both players in each category

I say Baines (lost set pieces, possibly pens) -> Kosc. He's pretty attacking on corners which sways it for me from Mustafi. I know the latter has better stats and will probably be on more baps but i like my defenders to at least have a shout at scoring. (Cue someone inform Mustafi scoring stats from the past).

      Just me...

Mustafi does go up for every corner though. Koscielny does love to pop up with a goal though. Tough

    Two questions

    1. Monreal or Mustafi?
    2. Play Kelly (home to Westham) or Evans (Home to Spurs)?
