Before we profile the best picks for your eight-player DraftKings line up let’s take a look at the matches taking place tonight across Groups E to H.

In Group E, Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bayer Leverkusen where in-form Son Heung-Min spent two years before the move to North London. The South Korean was utilised as a sub in the weekend draw at West Brom, indicating that Mauricio Pochettino sees him having a crucial role to play in Germany.

Real Madrid are heavy favourites at home to a Legia Warsaw side that lost 6-0 in their last away match in Group F to Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, the German club visit Lisbon having failed to win their last three matches – a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid was followed by defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and a draw with Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga.

Leicester City appear to be focusing on staying top of Group G after losing 3-0 to Chelsea in the league. Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani started on the bench against the Blues so should be fresh for the visit of a Copenhagen side that have kept four successive clean sheets in the league.

Juventus lead Group H on goal difference, with a 4-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb following a goalless draw with second-placed Sevilla. The Italian Champions are clear favourites against a Lyon side that have lost three out of their last four in all competitions.

Group E

CSKA Moscow v AS Monaco

Bayer Leverkusen v Tottenham Hotspur

Group F

Sporting CP v Dortmund

Real Madrid v Legia Warsaw

Group G

Leicester City v FC Copenhagen

Club Brugge v Porto

Group H

Dinamo Zagreb v Sevilla

Olympique Lyonnais v Juventus

Key Picks

As always DraftKings allows changes right up to the 7.45pm kick-offs, allowing you to adjust your line-ups according to the teamsheets.

If you are new to DraftKings, you can check out our player selection guide.

Here are some of the most exciting targets to consider for the Champions League matches this evening:

D – Felipe – Porto – $3,900

A threat at set-pieces, the Brazilian scored against Roma in qualification and has notched a league goal against Sporting Lisbon. Priced very favourably, the centre-back could pick up points at both ends of the pitch in the road trip to Club Brugge.

D – Sergio Escudero – Sevilla – $5,000

The Sevilla defence have kept back-to-back clean sheets so far in Group H, promoting their defensive assets. Left-back Sergio Escudero supplied six crosses last time out to help accrue a 17-point haul against Lyon and boasts some impressive underlying defensive stats in La Liga.

D – Dani Alves – Juventus -$6,500

A goal and assist against Dinamo Zagreb, as well as 17 crosses across two UCL appearances, means we’re considering including the ex-Barcelona defender, despite the hefty price tag.

M – Toni Kroos -Real Madrid – $7,900

The German created eight chances over the first two Matchdays, and Luka Modric’s injury makes his passing range even more important for the Spanish side. Real should guarantee goals against Legia Warsaw, and since the midfielder served up two assists against Betis at the weekend, pairing him with Cristiano Ronaldo looks a worthy strategy.

M – Thomas Lemar – Monaco – $7,600

The youngster scored a goal against Spurs and has impressed in Ligue 1 of late, scoring three goals in five outings. A share of corner duties should bring points from crosses, a crucial part of the scoring system in DraftKings.

M/F – Son Heung-Min/Erik Lamela – Tottenham Hotspur – $7,800/$7,900

Son has scored five goals in seven appearances this term and looks guaranteed to lead the line having started on the bench at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

It could also be another chance for Lamela to shine, given that the Argentine has assisted both of Spurs’ goals this in their European campaign so far.

F – Islam Slimani -Leicester City – $8,200

Another asset benched on Saturday, the Algerian is kinder on the budget than Jamie Vardy ($8,800) and Riyad Mahrez ($9,400) for tonight’s clash. Slimani proved to be decisive for the Foxes last time out in Europe, scoring the winner against Porto to make it three goals in five appearances.

F – Andre Silva – Porto – $8,000

The Portuguese forward has netted three times in the last two league matches and registered four goals for his country during the international break. In that form, he looks good value against a Club Brugge side that have shipped seven goals over the opening two Group G matches.

F – Paulo Dybala – Juventus – $9,800

The Argentinian has also scored three in two league outings to follow the goal against Dinamo Zagreb on Matchday 2. Across 12 appearances in all competitions, the forward has had 35 shots on goal and registered 46 crosses to earn 12.8 FPPG on DraftKings.

F – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – $10,100

A late leveler at home to Hertha Berlin on Friday evening took the Dortmund forward’s tally to six goals in as many appearances. The German outfit have netted eight times in two Champions League clashes and Aubameyang looks their man in form away to Sporting Lisbon.

What do we know about Antonio(not Valencia) at RB? Is he destined to remain there?

Surely not, but might play at RB on week against Sunderland based on the problems they have in team (Cresswell, Arbs).

Anyone play Fan Dual? Seems daft not using the freebie for entering the Cup but it seems far too stats based for me, I really can't be arsed seeing who has the most sprints, interceptions or blocks, Anyone convince me? 😐

I play, another £10 winnings for me this week.

Here's an easy way around it if you have other things to do (lazy 😉 )I've got a Members table that just lists Fanduel requirements. Basically if they are high up here then just get them in. Saves searching around.

I'm a big daily play player and the only way to be successful is to put in alot of work, and alot of teams.

The relatively small pool includes alot of very good players entering maximum amounts of teams (35-50). It is the same with draftkings and it was the same with Mondogoal, although they seem to be nearing their end.

It is especially true for CL football, and a knowledge of other leagues is a bit plus for those games.

Thanks, I'll have a look. It's not being lazy, I just have no interest whatsoever in stats other than goals, assistsm minutes played and clean sheets 🙂

Yeah the multiple team format kills the fun a bit tbh - it is hard to know who to support until the end of a gameweek, when the best performing teams become clear.

I know Daily Play is big in America but I do not think it will take hold here. I see it disappearing within the next 3 years when the big companies realise they cannot meet the costs.

In that case there's an even better method - which I use. Pick the players you don't own in FPL but wish you did. Of course it does help if your FPL team is rubbish like mine 😉

Yeah I often do that between my Sky and FPL teams -

I'm 170th in Sky and 345,000 in FPL - It is clear which options are working out the best 😀

Unfortunately I started trying to earn money from Fantasy football 4 years ago, when funding issues during Masters necessitated. Now I'm so over-saturated with games (Sky, FPL, Telegraph, Dream team, Fanduel and Draftkings) that the fun has disappeared and it has turned into a profit thing for the most part.

Oddly I still derive the most joy from a player in my FPL team scoring points, because of the social aspect.

I missed some days and the rises of Allan and Walcott.
Now i can't do Antonio & Capoue (both will fall) -> Allan & Walcott.

    Here are some options:
    A) Allen, Walcott & some DEF max. 4.2 for Antonio, Capoue & Evans (-8)
(Then there will be Amat my 4. Defender)

    B) Allen & Holebas for Capoue & Evans (-4)
(Play Antonio against SUN and take the price fall(s) - the game isn't my problem, it's his price. Evans suspended and 3 tough games)

    C) Allen for Capoue

    D) Allen, Chadli & Fer for Capoue, Antonio & De Roon (-8)
(Chadli with 3 tough games - but all 5 MF are nailed Sanchez, Firmino, Chadli, Fer, Allen)

Already have Sanchez but Walcott is on Fire and i hate missing rises of Allen, Holebas, Walcott and take the falls of Antonio & Capoue...

    Heaton

    Aguero, Lukaku, Benteke

Pickford, Capoue, Evans, Amat. 1.5m itb

      Best option here lads?

      A)

      Stick with Deeney, play Stones:

      Stones (SOT)
      Deeney (swa)

      B)

Deeney to Austin FT, Play Amat over stones, therefore completely going all in on Deeney blanking and Austin scoring, even with the defenders I'll be playing:

      Amat (WAT)
      Austin (mnc)

        A) Antonio (SUN) - possibly playing RWB
        B) Baines (bur) - dropped possibly/still recovering
        C) PVA (whu) - injury concerns
        D) Save FT and hope one of the two defenders plays and sort out Antonio next week when fixtures change

Only issue is that Clyne doesnt bring anything other than a CS so maybe Lovren is best?

Sunderland are terrible and theres a good chance Antonio is going to play on the wing. Why would you sell before that game?

This is the only thing preventing me from 100% selling, hasnt done any good over the past few GWs though

He should have scored at least two goals though. He had chances. If antonio gets a chance, i fancy him to score past a poor defence

The issue is not Antonio potentially scoring but the form of similar priced options.

He might well score this week but so might Theo (more likely imo) and his price is going on way and Antonio's the other.

Theo is also playing as a winger and striker at times and Antonio as a right back at times.

Just had a look at Costa's history - his season before last Goals to mins ratio is so impressive! If he stays injury free this year he could be top points scorer on this form.

PS - if I had a house, I would put it on him getting a yellow on Sunday so he won't miss a league game. Happens so often in football these since Mourinho at Real Madrid.

Defo happening. I read an article the other day though about potential disruption between Costa and Conte. Could derail Costa train

Agreed, so basically his points this week will be 1 point (most likely) or even if he scores a goal, just the 5 points.

          0.0 ITB 2FT

          Heaton Pickford
          Valencia Coleman Lovren Holebas Amat
          Sanchez Sterling Firmino Antonio Fletcher
          Aguero Lukaku Deeney

Pretty sure I want to get rid on Antonio but not sure what moves to make
          Coleman/Valencia + Antonio to Pieters + Walcott/Arnautovic/Coutinho ?

          Any other suggestions?

            Valencia & antonio >
            pieters & coutinho

A liverpool double up with firmino is promising with the pool fixtures.
After starting sturridge yesterday i think klopp will go back coutinho/lallana & firmino as front 3

          Which is better: Rashford+capoue>

          A) son + austin
          B) lallana + deeney
          C) son + deeney (but -8 to downgrade barry & evans > fletcher & pieters for 0.3 cash needed)

          Team currently:
          Jaku/foster
          Kos/evans/holebas/love/amat
          Theo/sanchez/firmino/capu/barry
          Costa/kun/rashford (2.8 ITB)

          A) Stones (SOU)
          B) Holebas (swa)

            Coutinho
            1) cheapest
            2) after yesterdays game i think klopp will go back to front 3 of cout/lallana & firmino as false 9
            Thus suits coutinho the best

I think Coutinho has gone up a level this season, and looks very dangerous in the matches I've seen. Personally I think it is between him and Firmino with Mane's slightly more expensive and at times a little more peripheral.

After last nights match it looks like Lallana makes the team tick. Cheapest, disregarding Milner, and still scoring decent fantasy ppg.

First half of the season I normally do those kind of transfers early, boosts the value of the team with an extra mill in second half. I get burned maybe 1 out of 5 times, and have to use an extra hit, but in the long run worth it imo, valuewise

With Holebas firmly announcing himself this week im wondering whether picking defenders based on fixtures is so important anymore.
Klopp on MNF said he sees full backs as wingers in the modern game, so what if they get exposed one on one at the back, its up to other team members to help them out.
Clyne Bellerin Holebas Walker Valencia are all players you could just play all season. Might be a good idea especially as there are so many attacking bandwagons this season, being able to forget your defence could be gold
