Andy dons his Zlatan mask in celebration of a belated brace, as we talk flags – for far too long – tackling the lively break “Hazard controversy” head on.

Premium strikers, price drop bargains, Christmas shopping and the baby imminent table all earn oxygen, as we desperately attempt to brush away the ring-rust and look ahead to Gameweek 12.

    Wow, I was all set to do Lallana --> Coutinho as one of the very last people who don't have him yet (I have Firmino so I've been doing ok without)

      I am in the same situation. Have Lallana and Mane and was going to get Coutinho in. If both Lallana and Coutinho don't play, is a Liverpool double up for a hit really wise this week? Those two will be missed dearly so who knows if Liverpool would even win.

      My friends, friend got a photo of Coutinho at a hospital, he even had a chat with him. He said he was fine.

        My friend saw the consultation through a glass screen. The consultant was showing Phil a scan and looked very serious. Phil had his head in his hands and was shaking uncontrollably. When he came out he had clearly been sobbing.

        May be nothing.

          Hmmm. My friends dad's uncle's daughter in law also told me his friend lied to Cout about needing a scan. He only had a skinned knee. Maybe Coutinho was just trying mirroring to make him feel better. Possibly.

    Absolutely don't play you WC this week. You need to consider what state a lot of teams will be in this week...and it's potentially not pretty for some. You're well set for this week and that alone is an advantage.

      He may well do. Wenger has said many times that he's been reluctant to play him at times after the IB's....he's had to in the past though. We'll just have to wait and see. 70/30 in favour of a start imo...something like that anyway.

        Yeah. It was a silly move really. In my mind I was having a dreadful week and my good start was ruined. Then Pool did what they did.

        And to be frank the only way to get Hazard was for either Coutinho Firmino or Sanchez. Big Sanchez fan here and moving away from the double up seemed resonable. From both pool players Coutinho was an easy choice. He has always been a very talanted but inconsistent player in my eyes. Good start of the season makes us feel he is past that and he might be. I just like Firmino a bit better I guess plus I have a better discount. Silly move probably still.

          Cou is having a breakthrough season and is on the verge of becoming a World Class player. Klopp has done this before with many players at BVB so it's no surprise Cou has blossomed under him. Plus the 4-3-3 system really suits him especially when it comes to goals/assist output.

          Firmino is a great FPL asset too but for me Cou > Firm, but both is ideal.

            All fair point. Except that world class part. I dont rate many players as world class. There is only 2 or 3 in the EPL imho. He is still some way off that.

              He is close, if his season continues as it has been. and it's just at club level, so far this season he has been doing it for Brazil, he is currently outscoring and outperforming Neymar.

              I agree very few world class players in the world but Cou has always had the potential, and so far this season he finally seems to have blossomed and be living up to his potential. It's not just me saying this, even Pele came out and said he is key to Brazil's success 😉

      go look at the Liverpool fixtures and then look at how Cou has been playing and his minutes per goal involvement. You will want to buy him straight back, surely there was a better route to Hazard.

              I was a 'Greenie' weapons electrician but became a writer later to get more shore time when I got engaged. I actually joined my first ship HMS Naiad at Portland and had my first proper night out there. Never even made it to my bunk 🙂

      nobody knows.

      Klopp has said Wini is gonna replace Lallana.

      With Sturridge or even Origi in the wings, he has no need to rush Coutinho so any niggle will see him either benched or withdrawn early.

      Cou is the key to unlocking hard to break down defences so without him we will struggle against Saints, he will be a key factor so I can see him getting some gametime but I doubt he plays 90 and he might just come on as a sub.

      Seemingly BS news story doing the rounds about him having a scan today. IMO that (v v expensive) private jet wouldn't have been hired if they didn't intend to start the two Brazilians. But obviously depends what condition he's come back in after 170 or so minutes game time.

        Firm is more likely to get 90mins, he usually is though, with him only making two late sub appearances for Brazil.

        The other factor I forgot to mention is Cou plays for a Klopp team so he is very very fit. if it was a player like Sturridge I can think we could lean heavily towards a rest.

        Cameron could be back next game when I will have 5 playing defenders. But dont think he will return soon to the lineup as well. So Brunt is on the cards.
