A disappointing Gameweek 12 stutters to its conclusion at the Hawthorns this evening as West Bromwich Albion entertain travel-sick Burnley.

The Baggies have mustered just a single clean sheet in five fixtures in front of their own supporters but will fancy their chances of improving that record, bearing in mind that Burnley have scored once in four road trips.

Sean Dyche’s side have shipped three goals on a trio of away occasions, heightening the hosts’ optimism for finding the net. With Nacer Chadli still unavailable, Salomon Rondon seems the likeliest source of attacking returns.

Chris Brunt is handed another chance to impress as an out of position prospect, with the Irishman set to start on the flank once again.

No side have conceded more attempts from set-pieces than Burnley this season, which suggests that Tom Heaton can expect an aerial assault from Gareth McAuley and co, with Brunt’s delivery a key weapon.

Burnley’s lack of bite on the road means that top scorer Sam Vokes faces a tough task of maintaining his fine form, having netted against Southampton, Everton and Palace in three of the previous four Gameweeks.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Obviously he hasn't created anything huge because then he'd have a goal/assist already. He has good movement patterns and a clean touch. If you want an example then look at the 2nd goal.

Remember he is classified as a defender (!) so you can't go around expecting him to be Hazard,

Him being a defender is irrelevant. Your comment stated that he was looking dangerous, not that he was looking dangerous for a defender. Great pass for the 2nd goal but hasn't created a chance and hasn't been in the box.

Haven't seen a lot from Brunt either. I was honestly thinking that I was okay not springing for him. But I guess that could change quickly in the second half.

      1. Bubz
        • 12 Years

It depends on the location of the wind farm, the higher up above sea level compared with the altitude of the wind turbines effects the velocity that the blades spin in a way that means that 2 blades will be more effective than I have no idea what I'm talking about.

2 blades are lighter and cheaper but bad for the turbines to yaw to face the wind due to the high forces die tot he higher blade speed. Only really feasible for smaller turbines.

Haha how can you say that solar power is better than wind power just like that. It depends on A LOT of different circumstances.

          • Fantasy Football Scout Member

Quite easily. I just did. I don't deny that there are many parameters involved but I just hate wind turbines. Try living close to one and you'll see, and hear, why.

          1. Licious Lizard
            • 13 Years
            9 years, 3 months ago

I used to live close to one, so I know they can make a bit of noise and some people don't like the look of them.

But their effective power output isn't a part of that discussion - which was what you were referring to in the post above. They can easily outperform solar panels under the right circumstances - also in terms of price

Don't have a Chelsea defender yet, obviously not worth getting on board this week with Spurs and City away up next, right?

I'm waiting, but that's cos I've got other issues.

My only worry is how much they could be by then....

Nope. Not having a chelsea def is killing me

a chelsea def is a must. Alonso looks like scoring every match. better get him sooner before he does more damage

    Who to start next week?

    A) Snodgrass HOME vs West Brom -- Note: I'm starting McAuley & Brunt

    B Anichebe AWAY vs Liverpool

If I save the transfer from this GW, is it worth doing:
Hazard, KDB, Kane > Antonio, Sanchez, Aguero

    It'll cost me -4pts.

    Thanks!
