Danny Drinkwater is set to start the first of a three-match ban as Leicester entertain Middlesbrough. Joe Allen is suspended for Stoke’s trip to Watford, whilst Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld are both unavailable for Spurs’ visit to Stamford Bridge.

Danny Drinkwater serves the first of a three-match ban after being retrospectively found guilty of violent conduct for an altercation with Watford’s Valon Behrami last weekend. Islam Slimani (groin problem) will be assessed, while Ben Chilwell and Nampalys Mendy are not yet available, having only returned to training yesterday. Matty James is also still sidelined for the visit of Middlesbrough.

Aitor Karanka has conceded that George Friend is likely to remain out “for three or four weeks” with a knee problem ahead of Middlesbrough’s trip to the King Power. Daniel Ayala has recovered from an ankle issue and is back in contention.

Toby Alderweireld has returned to training but remains unavailable for Spurs’ trip to Chelsea tomorrow evening, with Mauricio Pochettino hopeful the Belgian could be fit to face Swansea next weekend. Erik Lamela and Ben Davies remain injured, while Danny Rose is suspended.

Mark Hughes is optimistic that Glenn Whelan will be available for Stoke’s clash with Watford. The midfielder has recovered from a hamstring problem but has now picked up a calf complaint ahead of the Vicarage Road clash. Geoff Cameron and Phil Bardsley are sidelined through injury. Joe Allen sits out a one-match suspension, whilst Jack Butland is expected to return to training next week.

Jefferson Montero (hand) and Leon Britton (calf) have both recovered in time for Swansea’s home clash with Palace. Manager Bob Bradley has confirmed that Ki Sung-Yeung is the only absentee – the South Korean is expected to be out for a couple of weeks with a broken toe.

Paddy McNair has been ruled out for months with knee ligament damage as Sunderland make their way to Anfield. Seb Larsson and Jan Kirchhoff are expected to miss out despite recent returns to action for the club’s reserves. Steven Pienaar is available after serving a one-match ban but Papy Djilobodji misses out due to a similar suspension. Jason Denayer has recovered from a hamstring complaint.

Adam Lallana is expected to remain on the sidelines for Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland. Local press confirmed that the midfielder was once again absent from training yesterday ahead of the Black Cats’ visit to Anfield.

Eddie Howe has revealed that Artur Boruc and Andrew Surman remain doubtful for Bournemouth’s trip to the Emirates. Adam Smith is available after serving a one-match ban last week, Jordon Ibe has recovered from illness, though the on-loan Jack Wilshere cannot play against his parent club.

Steve Mandanda remains sidelined with a knee problem as Palace make their way to the Liberty. Loic Remy will be unavailable for another three weeks after sustaining a calf injury.

Tony Pulis will “make a late decision” on Nacer Chadli, as the Belgian steps up his recovery from a knee problem. The Baggies boss conceded his summer signing faces a tough task to return to the first XI in light of his side’s current form. Back-up stopper Boaz Myhill is sidelined with an ankle injury.

Younes Kaboul and Juan Camilo Zuniga are both doubtful for Watford’s home encounter with Stoke. Jose Holebas returns after serving a one-match suspension, though Craig Cathcart, Kenedy and Isaac Success all remain on the sidelines.

    Good to go?

Austin in for Rashford next week probably.

    Foster

    Walker – Lovren – Fuchs

    Ozil – Coutinho (c) – Alli – Zaha

    Aguero – Lukaku – Rashford

    Bench: Heaton; Capoue; Pieters; Smith

Heaton could get lots of shot saves, but I'd probably line up just like that if it were my team.

I have Rashford on the bench and I'm playing Capoue.
Rashford has done nothing for me since I got him in a few weeks ago, can't see that changing now.
Capoue is streaky, did well last week and is playing Stoke at home

Puncheon and Wilson are the weakest links so I would swap them but you won't get any decent MID for 5m even if you get Austin for Wilson

So maybe Sanchez + Punch ---> Hazard + Walcott (you can add Wilson-->Austin for -4)

    RP- bottomed

    Heaton,

Coutinho (C), Allen (Bench W4nk1*g), Hazard, Capoue
    Lukaku, Aguero

    Pickford, Sanchez, Rashford, Pieters

    1FT, 1.2m ITB

A- Should I start Pickford over Heaton?
B- Should I start Rashford over Amat or Capoue?
C- Should I make any transfers or hold?

A - yes. Might get loads of saves at home even though he probably concedes against City.
B - Yes, at home to West Ham without Reid, even though he hasn't done anything lately.
C - Hold, or upgrade Lukaku to Costa if sell value allows for it

    Pickford v Heaton this week

    - Heaton has the home game.
    - Neither are likely to keep a CS
    - Heaton has a history of getting save points, although both are facing attacking teams
    - Both keepers in form

    Grant
    Holebas - Alonso - Lovren
    Øzil - Firm - Haz - Cout
    Kun - Lukaku - Austin

Bench: Pickford, Capoue, Evans and Kingsley

Team lined up well and good to go? Or any transfers you'd recommend?

Kun is the default selection when ppl don't know who to choose.
      Doesn't mean they'll (c) him though

He is playing well, maybe not translating this in many points but he is very active and Southampton have some nice fixtures in December

Maybe Benteke for Defoe? And maybe Lallana for Phillips.

Cheers for the reply, Defoe is definitely a good option, I may do that then worry about gundogan later?

I am bit stumped as to where I should strengthen my squad this week.

    Stekelenberg

    Walker/McAuley/Holebas

    Walcott/Firm/Gun/Coutinho

    Aguero/Lukaku/Wilson

    Bench: Pickford/Williams/Morgan/Kante

    1 FT + 0.9 ITB

Gundogan may not play due to yaya being back. But youve got cover with your defence if he doesnt. spurs and everton looking leaky at the back tbh.

      Arsnal defender maybe??
      Jenkinson short term ?

With so many teams playing 3 at the back and wing backs, 4-4-2 // 4-5-1// 4-3-3 or even a 5 is not a bad idea. With players like Alonso, Brunt, Holebas, Janmaat, Moses. Because of that formation u have the midfielders playing further up rather than being a bit more defensive minded. Capoue has defo benefited along with hazard and pedro. Then you have the liverpool "midfielders" Mane, coutinho and firmino who all actually play as forwards.

What is the most popular foramtion?
Me personally have always gone with 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 but Im cnsidering 4 or even 5 at the back due to the 3 at the back trend in Prem at the moment.

    What are you thoughts ?

To get Kun, Kane and Costa I will need to drop Austin and get a cheap 3.9 defender for Kosc.

Worth it, or keep Austin and Kosc and replace Kun with Costa?

    Thanks.
