Fantasy managers are treated to the remaining eight matches of Gameweek 16 this Wednesday evening, with a trio of
encounters getting underway at 7.45pm.

Sadio Mane and Divock Origi are the form men as Liverpool look for a first win in three at the Riverside. Roberto Firmino arrives on the back of four straight blanks and was second only to Charlie Austin for transfers out in the Gameweek.

With Eden Hazard absent, the stage is set for Diego Costa as Chelsea visit Sunderland. The Blues frontman was the most captained player in Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 16, with 23% handing him the armband.

West Ham embark on the first of three very favourable fixtures, with Dimitri Payet and Michail Antonio on our radars for the visit of Burnley.

In the 8pm matches, all eyes will be on Captain Poll winner Harry Kane as Spurs welcome Hull to White Hart Lane. We’ll also be monitoring Scout Picks duo Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen against the struggling Tigers.

In-form pair Christian Benteke and Zlatan Ibrahimovic go head-to-head as Palace welcome United to Selhurst Park. With returns in six of the last seven, Wilfried Zaha was the most transferred in player for Gameweek 16.

With Sergio Aguero suspended, faith in Man City has dwindled ahead of what should be a plum home clash against Watford. Kevin De Bruyne is the man most likely as the Etihad side look to recover from back-to-back defeats.

We’re also keeping a keen eye on Differential Sofiane Boufal as Southampton head to Stoke. Having bagged the winner at home to ‘Boro, the Moroccan could be set to step up in the absence of Charlie Austin, promoting his prospects as a mid-price midfield candidate ahead of some fine fixtures.

West Brom have their work cut out to stop Gylfi Sigurdsson as Swansea make their way to the Hawthorns.

The Swans’ playmaker has racked up four goals and as many assists in eight appearances under Bob Bradley and faces a defence with one clean sheet in the last 12 Gameweeks.

Matt Phillips and Salomon Rondon also have the chance to maintain momentum tonight – Swansea have conceded 12 goals in four road trips since their new manager was installed.

2 FT, which option is better?

    B Firmino/Nacho > Payet/Llorente
    C Firmino/Nacho > Payet/Carroll

My team has so many gaps and yet I still can’t settle on a single transfer.
It is not that there are players I wouldn’t mind losing, there are just no replacements available that I fancy more.

      Courtois/Grant
      Alonso/Pieters/McAuley/Holebas/Cedric
      Sanchez/Hazard/Payet/Lallana/Allen
      Kane/Iheanacho/Anichebe

I don't really like Nacho now that he has not played but I will probably keep him until Sergio is back before I make any decisions. It is worse as he was a coin toss with Origi but never mind.

When are people thinking about using their second wildcard? I used the strategy last season of waiting for the double gameweeks and using it then however I feel my team is struggling at the moment and with the return of Aguero soon I may use it ASAP, thoughts?

I will always try and wait until the transfer window closes before using it. I've also never waited specifically for double game weeks as it's too late in the season to get the full benefit of it IMO. Double gameweeks can usually be negotiated with plenty of planning.

Can't believe I missed the boat with Eriksen. I had 1.3mil in the bank for a perfect Pedro -> Eriksen, but was so preoccupied with saving a FT that I missed his rise last night...

    What do I do?

    Pickford.
    Walker. VVD. Ake.
    Sanchez. Hazard. Siggy. Pedro.
    Kane(c). Costa. Origi.

Subs: Heaton. Holebas. Amat. de Roon. 1FT. 1.3mil ITB.

I might just hope he doesn't get more than an assist/goal at the weekend. If he gets another massive haul I'm getting him in, but otherwise, his fixtures aren't that good after Burnley and there are better options.

He certainly can be but also a streaky player! Do we see it ending anytime soon? I think it helps with Sissoko in the team because he is mince, Eriksen has to step up his game! The streak usually ends with a half time hooking! Aston Villa away when Kane broke through sticks in the memory! Burnt time and again by him but still tempted! Did payet instead of Eriksen last gw is still annoying me!

Is anybody else considering ditching Hazard to double up on Chelsea defence?

The defence seems to be delivering so consistently at the minute. With lots of teams around here having a few of Costa, Kane, Ibra, Sanchez there's plenty of captain options without Hazard.

    1. Over Midwicket
      • 14 Years

Yeah I might do the same. Not ditching Hazard but I have Pedro so will do him to a cheapie and get Azpi/Alonso. Azpi might be the better option now due to getting more BAPS (chelsea aren't scoring) and lower ownership amongst active players.

Disappointing gameweek. Kane gets me doubting, and now I have a benchful of injury worries. 0.5 ITB

    Grant

    P.Jones - Alonso - Vertonghen
    Siggy - Sanchez - Hazard - Capoue
    Anichebe - Costa - Kane

    Pickford - Amat - Nyom - Can

A doubtful Hazard hurts my pocket & points.. replace him with

    A) Lallana?
    B) Mané?
    C) Take -4 and go Lallana + Anichebe -> Origi
    D) Take my chances with Hazard and go Kane -> Ibra (he seems more reliable)

Is Dembele ruled out for Burnley?

This Dembele theory is getting silly 🙁

So Grant got 3 bonus points for 4 saves? Wow, this bonus system has me thinking sometimes...

Courtois had 3 saves. If not for those 3 saves they wouldn't win 1:0 and he got 0 bonus.. Where's the point?

True. That save at the end was sensational.

Yup I saw my CS wiped out at that moment, was very surprised that he saved that. Magnificent save.
