Fantasy managers are treated to the remaining eight matches of Gameweek 16 this Wednesday evening, with a trio of
encounters getting underway at 7.45pm.

Sadio Mane and Divock Origi are the form men as Liverpool look for a first win in three at the Riverside. Roberto Firmino arrives on the back of four straight blanks and was second only to Charlie Austin for transfers out in the Gameweek.

With Eden Hazard absent, the stage is set for Diego Costa as Chelsea visit Sunderland. The Blues frontman was the most captained player in Fantasy Premier League for Gameweek 16, with 23% handing him the armband.

West Ham embark on the first of three very favourable fixtures, with Dimitri Payet and Michail Antonio on our radars for the visit of Burnley.

In the 8pm matches, all eyes will be on Captain Poll winner Harry Kane as Spurs welcome Hull to White Hart Lane. We’ll also be monitoring Scout Picks duo Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen against the struggling Tigers.

In-form pair Christian Benteke and Zlatan Ibrahimovic go head-to-head as Palace welcome United to Selhurst Park. With returns in six of the last seven, Wilfried Zaha was the most transferred in player for Gameweek 16.

With Sergio Aguero suspended, faith in Man City has dwindled ahead of what should be a plum home clash against Watford. Kevin De Bruyne is the man most likely as the Etihad side look to recover from back-to-back defeats.

We’re also keeping a keen eye on Differential Sofiane Boufal as Southampton head to Stoke. Having bagged the winner at home to ‘Boro, the Moroccan could be set to step up in the absence of Charlie Austin, promoting his prospects as a mid-price midfield candidate ahead of some fine fixtures.

West Brom have their work cut out to stop Gylfi Sigurdsson as Swansea make their way to the Hawthorns.

The Swans’ playmaker has racked up four goals and as many assists in eight appearances under Bob Bradley and faces a defence with one clean sheet in the last 12 Gameweeks.

Matt Phillips and Salomon Rondon also have the chance to maintain momentum tonight – Swansea have conceded 12 goals in four road trips since their new manager was installed.

It's always hard to tell with Carroll, he could even pick up an injury in the warm up!

      I reckon he starts though.

Bilic was talking him up after the game so hopefully he will start. A lot depends on how he recovers physically I guess.

How do you fit in Payet when you already have Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy, Eriksen, Kane and Costa? I don't want to lose any of those!

Really want Payet though. Going to see what the news on Haz is, if he's out for the weekend I may do a short term transfer to Payet then bring Haz back in. I just got Haz in last week so won't be affected by selling and buying back. Thoughts?

Yeah i guess it's just a wait and see.

I think Payet can deliver what Eriksen has done the last 2 GW's though.

Why do you want Payet? Just for Hull is it?
I brought him in two days ago for Firmino instead of Lallana or Eriksen and am livid with him for his blank home to Burnley

Great fixtures + Payet has done reasonably well this season while going under the radar.

I was lucky i couldn't afford him last week which meant i brought in Eriksen instead but still want Payet as well.

What's the mood in camp this morning ?
Was depressed last night watching the games as I transferred in Payet over Eriksen/Lallana. Worst GW score of the season with 38pts and a drop OR from 18k to 38k.
In saying all that, everyone else in my ML had an average week too it seems so all's not lost. Onto the weekend games now

    1. GreenArrows
      • 9 Years

Pretty bad, GW of 37 and everyone in my ML (24 players) outscored me so I dropped from 2nd to 5th :/ and gap has closed from below :/

To all those worried about Phil Jones' Minutes...
Rojo will be dropped before him (if you don't believe me check out his yellow card tackle last night) and Bailly is injured. Even if smalling comes back, Jones should still play. Only concern is his own fitness

Agree, Jones is all but nailed I reckon, certainly for the foreseeable future. Only fitness can stop him at the moment I think.

Terrible week for me. 46 points and dropped from 57k to 85k. More importantly, my ML leader scored 90 and is now 80 points ahead! Rondon (c) was a masterstroke on his part. Like a lot of you, I'm clinging to the hope that good squad value will tell in the second half of the season.

Anyone else looking for a mega double gameweek this year? Essentially I want a few games off because of snow.

I'll then use my wildcard to bring in as many DGW players as possible, triple captain and bench boost.

Probably need more than the one DGW game though.

I'd like to sell Fer for Siggy but it's possible only with Firm/Lallana and Origi/Defoe (-4 in next GW). It's a good idea?

Reference Rojo's hideous two-footer last night (and at the weekend), I reckon this rule of if the ref sees something (and either does or does not give a caution) then that's the end of the matter, is total Michael Ballacks.

There needs to be an opportunity for the ref (or panel) to revisit a decision and implement the punishment that fits the crime.

It's not double jeopardy, it's just common sense?

    1. Hurricane Gilbert
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 1 month ago

Totally agree. Retroactive punishment deserved. You referring to his tackle on Gana?

      1. Jafooli
        • 13 Years
        9 years, 1 month ago

        Yeah that's the one.

There is no guarantee the ref saw the full extent of the offence in real time....he might have missed a vital clue, like a head-butt or stabbing etc.....
