After Everton’s 4-0 hammering of Man City at Goodison, we head over to Old Trafford for the final match of Gameweek 21.

As expected, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recovered from illness to take his place in the Man United starting XI against Liverpool.

The most captained player for this round of fixtures, United’s frontman has been handed the armband by over 18% of Fantasy Premier League managers on the back of nine goals and four assists in his last nine league outings.

With the schedule smiling kindly on Jose Mourinho’s men from next week onwards, Paul Pogba – with two goals and a pair of assists in five – has the chance to stake a claim for a place in our five-man midfields.

Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, opts against starting Philippe Coutinho for the first time since Gameweek 13 and names the fit-again playmaker on the bench instead.

Recovered from an ankle injury, the Brazilian is second only to Dele Alli for transfers in for midfielders since yesterday’s deadline passed, rising in price to 8.3 overnight.

With a plum home clash against Swansea up next, we’re keeping a keen eye on the Reds’ main men, with Adam Lallana and Roberto Firmino handed the wide roles on either side of Divock Origi as Daniel Sturridge warms the bench along with Coutinho.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Uninspiringly did Costa > Kane already - this week's points could justify looking at a hit or two for general squad maintenance...

    Heaton - Jaku
    Alonso - Vertonghen - Brunt - Holebas - Amat
    Sanchez - Eriksen - Lallana - Phillips - Allen
    Ibra - Kane - Giroud

    A) Vertonghen > Baines (-4)
    B) Vertonghen + Amat > Baines + Holgate (-8)
    C) Leave it alone and enjoy your evening.

So fellow Aguero owners...what are we doing? Surely City are going to come back strong after this latest embarrassment... and the fixtures following Spurs are hard to ignore: Whu Swa Bou Sun Stk in the next 6...
Already have Alli and Eriksen (having done Kane>Aguero for Burnley, then Mane>Alli)...soooooooo

I am in the exact same mental state. I also transferred him in for the Burnley game. I want to hold as he is a big diff in my league and also has good fixtures coming up. City are good, they wont stay bad for long. Everton were really good today. Aguero loves scoring against spurs. Just tying this I have convinced myself to stick with.

What do you think about his chances of being rotated are? Gabriel being signed.

He has spent £160m or more on ingredients, hasn't he?

£17m on a 33yo GK he insisted on while sending a much better GK out on loan.

£50m on a young CB he insisted on who has always been positionally suspect.

£20m on a chronically injured midfielder from Germany.

£30m and £20m on two wide players he rarely uses. And now £20m on a 19yo forward with little experience.

Meanwhile he refused to let his best CM (and a club legend) even train with the first team because of a perceived slight by his agent.

He inherited a squad with some of the best players in the PL - Aguero, KDB, Silva, Yaya... Each of these he has turned into a worse player by asking them to do things they are not so strong at. He hasn't been short of ingredients. He just can't cook.

Looking ahead at the fixtures. Both Spurs and Everton have a favourable bunch.

    How do these options look?

    1. Costa > Lukaku
    2. Costa + Brunt > Walker/Rose + Lukaku (-4)
    3. Costa + Lallana > Kane + 7.2mid (-4)

    Currently have:

    Ibrahimovic Costa* Giroud

What do we reckon with Cout then? I reckon he looks sharp. Worried about him not starting though. Surely another full week in training and a less competitive game is the ideal time to get 60+ minutes in.

Really want him or just any Liverpool player, aware of the slightly unfavourable fixtures but theres enough good ones for me in there. Probably worth saving the transfer and keeping Antonio, tough watch coming up for me Saturday morning.

Happy to lose Aguero but not sure there's much upside in saving the money however ridiculous that sounds....

    Foster/Pick

    Walker/Alonso/Holebas/Pieters/Amat

    Sanchez/Alli/Lallana/Stanislas/ Fletcher

    Aguero/Zlatan/ Carroll

If I change Aguero ---> Kane it only gives me 8m which isn't that useful....

I could look at Aguero + Carroll ---> Lukaku + giroud if he's not dead?

I'd still do the Kun>Kane switch

    What to do with Giroud?
    Already have Ibra & Lukaku.
Don't have the money for Kane or Costa.

    Other options:

    A) Defoe (Tough Fixtures)

    B) Rondon (Will rotate with 4th defender for good fixtures)

    Appreciate your thoughts!

You have to wait for news. I'm in the same boat. Such an annoying injury! His fixtures and form were incredible.

    Aguero out for Lukaku?
    Ake out for Alonso?
    -4.
Gutted this gameweek has killed me. Had Kane captain and changed it to Aguero last minute! So stupid! 🙁

      Gutted.

I dont like taking point hits for defenders as they are less likely to make up the difference. Say Alonso does keep a clean sheet against Hull, that is you breaking even minus the points the player you would have played in his place, like a sub that would maybe get you 2 points say. Just dont like it.
