Sunday treats us to two more Gameweek 25 matches as Burnley entertain Chelsea in the early 1.30pm kick-off.

The Clarets may well offer stubborn resistance to the league leaders today. Sean Dyche’s men are no pushovers in front of their own fans, with just a single goal conceded in the last four at Turf Moor.

Yet that fine home record clearly hasn’t deterred those holding Chelsea’s main men.

Handed the armband by 10.9% and 4.9% FPL managers respectively, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard are amongst the top six captained players for this round of fixtures.

Faith in Marcos Alonso is also on the rise – he was subject to over 111,000 transfers in after netting for the fourth time this season in last week’s win over Arsenal. The Spaniard continues to offer a steady stream of points at both ends of the pitch, producing a goal, assist or clean sheet in 15 of his 18 starts under Antonio Conte.

Subsequently, Clarets stopper Tom Heaton – the top scoring keeper in FPL – has been named as a sub by 403,000+ managers this week, he third most benched player in the Gameweek.

Purely coincidental Pedro has scored but need Chelsea attacking coverage for next game week. Worth doing De Roon to Pedro?

    Jaku

    Brunt Baines Coleman Alonso

    Alli Siggy Phillips De Roon

    Lukaku Carroll

    Subs Valdes Sanchez Ibra Amat

    1 FT 4.3m itb

Reluctant to lose value tied up Sanchez or Ibra but may have to consider it.

Would then likely do Pedro to Antonio/Snodgrass for gw28

Doesn't surprise me. I don't watch many of Burnley games but watched west ham and spurs and payet and eriksen were in for some rough treatment

Do players get baps for continually being fouled? They should do....

If you've prepared it tends to even out again when people bring in those playing GW26 and especially 28

Trying to hold on to Ibra myself, bought for 11.1 and can carry bit of a drop. Otherwise just Gylfi and (sorry) magic McAuley with any value and 'they ain't goin nowheres'

Sunderland taking the players to New York while they have a week off is a good insight into how disconnected from reality football has become. Failure is continually rewarded.

Should save the money for the trip, give every season ticket holder £50 back 🙂

That'd get the crowd on their side!

Im sure they could all afford to go off their own backs. If it works for team bonding etc, might help turn there season. I doubt they will be rewarded if they are relegated so it''s in the club's interest to try do something different to help the cause

They might not be "rewarded" in the football bubble sense of the word, with a massive bonus each, no.

I'd still consider £25k per week in the Championship pretty bloody rewarding for a season of abject failure.

Certainly! I'm not denying the money in the game has made it a bit of a farce.

Just didn't have an issue with the new York trip. They have a free week, a change of scene may work in their favour because what they currently are isn't. Maybe if it was at the end of the season and they have gone down, I could see it being a bit more of an annoyance. Also it isn't my club and maybe if i was in the situation, I might see if differently.
