Sunday treats us to two more Gameweek 25 matches as Burnley entertain Chelsea in the early 1.30pm kick-off.

The Clarets may well offer stubborn resistance to the league leaders today. Sean Dyche’s men are no pushovers in front of their own fans, with just a single goal conceded in the last four at Turf Moor.

Yet that fine home record clearly hasn’t deterred those holding Chelsea’s main men.

Handed the armband by 10.9% and 4.9% FPL managers respectively, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard are amongst the top six captained players for this round of fixtures.

Faith in Marcos Alonso is also on the rise – he was subject to over 111,000 transfers in after netting for the fourth time this season in last week’s win over Arsenal. The Spaniard continues to offer a steady stream of points at both ends of the pitch, producing a goal, assist or clean sheet in 15 of his 18 starts under Antonio Conte.

Subsequently, Clarets stopper Tom Heaton – the top scoring keeper in FPL – has been named as a sub by 403,000+ managers this week, he third most benched player in the Gameweek.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

What's the consensus on the 4 goals Sunderland shipped yesterday? Manonne's fault or were southampton that good?

Trying to figure what to do with Pickford

I thought Pickford was the best GK in the PL before he got injured.

I think he should regain his place given Mannone has been so-so.

Moyes on Pickford: "Jordan is back but the medical team want him to complete the time the surgeon said for recovery. He won't be involved."

I think that means as soon as he gets the OK from the medical team he's back in.

Really tough decisions to make next week! Hoping that R5 serves up a few more "shocks" to get more 28 games going to give more options.

I have 2FTs and am shaping up OK for the blanks, but avoiding Chelsea/Spurs next week seems a short term bust - ML rivals with 3x Spurs (I have only Alli) and Costa/Haz in addition to Alonso (I only have Alonso) could mop up next time round.

Think now that ML rivalries are taking precedence over OR for me - lots of money and "bragging rights" (cringe) at stake!!

I hope so, Fred - have to see what kind of team JM is playing in the Europa League. If he decides to prioritise the EL (which he probably should - extra chance of CL involvement) we might see the cards falling that way 🙂

50 points behind number one and 20 behind number two in mine. These blanks could change things up

Sadly our ML is really keyed up - a couple of us are FFS community members but other than that, people are really involved in FPL and know about the blanks / have done their research.

Should be able to take #3 (20 pts ahead) and #2 (60 ahead, but a casual), however my friend at #1 is probably a bit too far ahead to overcome at 90. Happy with a #2, pays out a lot and hopefully a superior DGW strategy could even see me challenge !

I think I need to start targeting my ML rivals to reel them in effectively

Fair play to Robbie Brady, excellent free-kick!

But they are running low on home games now, having had an abundance earlier on!

Really hope there are more games for 28 - can't see any value in the bargain basement for defenders currently that fulfil all the criteria. Was looking at Robertson but I also own Jaku, so I'm not entirely sure about a Hull double up 🙁

      I'm almost definitely losing Sanchez.

      Prefer
      Ibra - x BOU x
      over
      Sanch - x liv x

Both will lose a lot of value, but you have to pick and choose.

I also have KdB with x sun x so I think purely on fixtures it has to be Sanchez who goes.

the thing about relying on fixtures is that you sometimes lose sight of form. sanchez is as essential as they come this season, and i wouldn't want to be without him no matter who he's up against.

I'm not making any changes just yet. Will wait until next weekend to make decisions.

See what you're saying entirely, though. It's a trade-off between gameweek vs long term glory.

I'm slowly moving toward prioritising my ML these days as the season reaches the business end. So I might make my moves based on that, and hope that others do the same - I'm sure that Sanchez has gone from a couple of rival's squads already.

I don't think that Bou game is enough argument to keep Ibra. Alexis is top scorer, midfielder playing up front with penalties and probably best player in this game with big chacne for big hauls. Even they play Liv he may score so I probably can live without Ibra but too scared to loose Sanchez.

Not a Chelsea fan by any means, but I think Cahill is underrated. Wouldn't be the key defender in Chelsea's backline if he wasn't any good.

Luiz.. meh, they clearly wanted somebody in to play in the "middle defender" role in the back 3 and he probably wasn't first choice. But he's OK.

I think they're good premier league defenders.
Will have to see what happens next year. It's been a huge boon for them that they haven't had European football.

So whats the best way to think of potentially selling players who are blanking 26/28 (I'm looking at you Sanchez, Ibra)
    a) Sanchez got in at £11M, can now sell for £11.4M -> take this as profit?!
    b) Sanchez now costs £11.8M -> going to cost a lot more to bring back in after selling (even if he drops some more)

Havent got so much value in Ibra and will probably do Ibra->Costa this week. But not sure on what to do with Sanchez.

Sanchez may drop before next GW, watch carefully and decide accordingly - sell or otherwise bench him

    2. Strchld
      • 9 Years

      I have the same problem.
Got Sanchez from gw 4 and lose value.. Ibra not so much. Probably both are dropping if they have blanks also gw 28.
Anyway, im waiting FA Cup results and then we know whos playin in gw 28.
There is change that Ibra or Sanchez is playin and it makes the selling problem so much easier.
Just wait FA Cup results like me.
