Sunday treats us to two more Gameweek 25 matches as Burnley entertain Chelsea in the early 1.30pm kick-off.

The Clarets may well offer stubborn resistance to the league leaders today. Sean Dyche’s men are no pushovers in front of their own fans, with just a single goal conceded in the last four at Turf Moor.

Yet that fine home record clearly hasn’t deterred those holding Chelsea’s main men.

Handed the armband by 10.9% and 4.9% FPL managers respectively, Diego Costa and Eden Hazard are amongst the top six captained players for this round of fixtures.

Faith in Marcos Alonso is also on the rise – he was subject to over 111,000 transfers in after netting for the fourth time this season in last week’s win over Arsenal. The Spaniard continues to offer a steady stream of points at both ends of the pitch, producing a goal, assist or clean sheet in 15 of his 18 starts under Antonio Conte.

Subsequently, Clarets stopper Tom Heaton – the top scoring keeper in FPL – has been named as a sub by 403,000+ managers this week, he third most benched player in the Gameweek.

        Haha it was hilarious on here.

        We've all benefitted from a marginal call like that - I got a random Vardy "studs" assist when he was my captain last year, and there was also Diomande-gate on GW1. It's just that it didn't annoy you because you were the beneficiary!

        A lot of my ML rivals have McAuley so I can see the temptation to moan. But I prefer to meme.

    I don't think that Bou game is enough argument to keep Ibra. Alexis is top scorer, midfielder playing up front with penalties and probably best player in this game with big chacne for big hauls. Even they play Liv he may score so I probably can live without Ibra but too scared to loose Sanchez. Prefer Costa over Hazard too so I think I will keep Sanchez. Probably till GW 38 if no injury.

      All depends on the alternatives, for many it is Ibra to Costa or Sanchez to Mane. Leaning towards the former because of the tricky fixtures for Mane and the easy fixtures for Costa

      Very tough call to make for sure. And one that shouldn't be made prior to next week - if Costa or Kane suddenly have a GW28 fixture then it changes things hugely.

      100% agree with the form vs. fixture aspect being noted, though.

      Which PL teams are most at risk of an FA Cup exit? For me it's Leicester (but unless Arsenal lose to Sutton, their GW28 fixture blanks anyway). Maybe Spurs at Fulham? Otherwise it seems likely that all PL teams should go through.

          Alonso, amat, friend, brunt, baines. So a pretty uniform defence to be honest. But i wont be able to field a keeper for 28 unless i do pickford to jaku next week ?

            No worries - I have Alonso, Amat, Brunt as well, and then also RFM and Pieters knocking around!

            I'd be looking at Pickford -> Jaku for sure to get you a keeper, and for cheap. I expect he'll be 4.1 by that point, so you won't be knocking out your value.

            Because you have Friend, I'd be OK waiting for now to see what Karanka says prior to the gameweek starting. It's really low stakes - at the price of defender we're talking about, we're really looking at 2 points as a baseline and then any points you get on top of that a huge bonus - so you don't have to agonise about that.

            Priority for you is Kaku in. Might be tempted to get him in prior to the next rise in price. Then after that watch and wait.

              Wait so you're saying hold the transfer for now to see what Karanka says about Friend? But also monitor the price rises regarding Jaku? Yeah I think i'll do that. I have Lukaku and captained him last week 🙂

                Oh damn, sorry mate, got mixed up with another guy below who didn't have Kaku!

                Yeah definitely hold on. I'm doing the same. No point making a change if suddenly next week Chelsea, Spurs or something end up with a GW28 game, you'll just be so annoyed next weekend if you move early!

                We all fall prey to knee jerks but this definitely is a time to watch and wait - first half of the season was value building / kneejerk time. Now is strategising haha

          Probably best off asking after the games - there will be a lot of anticipation about Siggy here 😉

          For you, I'd say Kaku in is an absolute must. Sunderland home = autocaptain (and an obvious 2 pointer from the troll 😉 )

          I also own KdB and Sanch (and Ibra!) and am actually thinking that KdB stays. I prefer owning him for sun (a) in 27 than Sanchez for liv, but it's very much a judgement call, plus we have a lot of information to come prior to next week - could be some fixtures that are suddenly on if there's a "cup shock" (cringe)
