Our first members’ article of the week takes a look back at the four fixtures that comprised a somewhat reduced Gameweek 28.

Bournemouth’s hat-trick hero is placed under the microscope as his transfer bandwagon picks up pace. We also cast an eye over Liverpool’s latest source of midfield returns and check up on a Swansea defender whose eye for goal continues to reap the rewards.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I just feel the team will really suffer this week which I'm happy to take a -8 for but yes maybe I should wait. Thanks

That's exactly the plan I've been debating to do this week! Although it's a -8 I'm backing these guys for points and it sets me up really well. Or I could wait until after international break but I'm not sure.

Assuming Llorente is fit, which move is best?

    A. Carroll --> Costa
    B. Llorente --> Costa
    C. Save transfer till we know more about DGWs

    Pickford
    Alonso, Coleman, Holebas
    Hazard, Mane, Eriksen, King
    Lukaku, Llorente, Carroll

    Heaton, Mawson, Fletcher, Evans
...1FT, 6.6m ITB, WC and BB lef

Even if you still believed there was a slight chance of Llorente being fit, you would still start him over Grosicki. In the unlikely event he doesn't play, Grosicki comes in.

          Basic stuff.

can you afford DDG? im not a fan of your strikers and i would rather have Gabbi now no matter who he has (should of had a hatrick in the cup final vs man u and still got 2 goals) and he aint blanked yet.

whats your plan for getting a big hitter in upfront or you going without? kane? ibra? aguero? etc

      1. v_keithe
        • 9 Years

DDG is the same price as Cech, so essentially yes but doubling on United is a worry
I'll eventually downgrade Mane and Coleman for striker funds
Sigi is a Walcott/Sane sized hole

yes but arsenal are terrible lately, rather have DDG anyday.

    Jaku / Pickford
Alonso / Walker / Coleman (Mawson / Friend)
    Sanchez / Firmino / Siggy / Antonio / King
    Lukaku (Gabbiadini / Kane)
    0FT, 1.6ITB

What should I do? Play one of the guys in the parentheses or take Kane out for a hit now. Eventually I'd want Ibra back, Alli, Pedro and Valencia over the next few weeks. So Kane would go for a punty sort of guy.

I was in a similar situation, there were enough players that I was not happy with that I would be taking hits to sort them out. The players I would have been getting in would be DGW players anyway, so I thought, why take hits, just WC instead and get them in now!

Hey dude, nah I don't think so, if you take a -4 you're already bringing in players who have DGW anyway I expect to some extent.

Kane to Costa and Cout to Alli/Eriksen like I said yesterday and it's alright 🙂 or maybe keep Snoddy and do Baines to Walker.

      It'll be alright!

    Afternoon,

cannot afford 1st choice Ali/Eriksen and Valencia.

Which one do you think is best?

Cout and Brunt > Son and Valencia -4
    or
    Cout and Brunt > Ali/Eriksen and Rojo - 4.

    thanks

    WILDCARD TEAM ASSEMBLE:

    Randolph Pickford

    Valencia Jones Coleman Maguire McAuley

    Sanchez Alli King Siggy Capoue

    Lukaku Costa Llorente

    4.3 ITB.

Coleman/Jones to be traded to Walker/Alonso as and when necessary

    Thoughts?

Get rid of mCaULEY - you have so much in the bank why not get Alonso and Wlker for McAuley and Maguire?
      Llorente for Gabbi

        Flexibility for Double Gameweeks.

Playing 3 at the back, so no need for Walker and Alonso just yet, although i'll likely swap out McAuley.

Gabbi away at Spurs? No thanks.

This looks like a non-WC team. Mcauley, Maguire, Randolph, Llorente and possibly King wouldn't be expected to be seen in WC teams. Also don't see why you wouldn't just put Walker and Alonso in now who are better players and saves you 2 FT, although Coleman this week should be good.

      Mid is fine

McAuley's figures are tough, also I'd consider Gabbiadini to Llorente

I'm not a Coutinho owner, but I would definitely keep unless I had Mane and Firmino as well.

Yeah - I would find it very hard to let go with all those blue fixtures in a row coming up - I don't think his current dip in form will last long.

I'm keeping for this week. I bought him for a reason(incredible stats). One poor performance isn't going to change that. Also, has a great record vs City.

      Id keep.(not an owner btw)

Imo Pros of keeping slightly outweighs that of Selling (50/50 decision though. could go either way)

      Pro's of keeping
      - Great record against city
      - Liverpool best record against top teams
      - City performance slightly dips after european nights
      - Could be fresher with no european games
      - Getting lots of shots of late
      - Firmino back will surely help

      Pros of selling
      - City have tightened up with 4cs in last 5
      - Doubling up on Mane and Coutinho isnt wise especially in the expense of a spurs mid who has great fixtures
      - Coutinho awfully off form (1 goal in 7 since injury return)
      - Long International break to southamerica. maybe jet lagged after return. chance of a rest

Definitely keeping. Still great stats and "due a haul". We all know Liverpool does well against the so called better teams so I figure we should just trust that for once.

    Help!

Can someone give me a tip for a 4.4 defender or cheaper to have on my bench who has a reasonable fixture for the dgw in 34 or 37?!

We don't know the DGW34 and 37 fixtures

      1. Pocky
        • 17 Years
        9 years, 4 months ago

I've gone for Kone, if, as many expect, 37 is the bumper DGW, then Sund would play Swan (H) Mid (A). Again, assuming 37 does turn out to be the bumper DGW then Mid would have Sund & Soton both at home, problem with their 4.4 defs is, they're all injured & have poor fixtures up until then.

All a bit of a gamble at least until DGW's are comfirmed.

Despite that, 140+ points for Defoe suggests he's worth consideration, especially at mid budget price to help team building elsewhere.
