Leicester City’s decision to part company with Claudio Ranieri back in late February came in for some harsh criticism at the time yet the impact under Craig Shakespeare has forced a sharp reassessment of the Foxes’ potential.

Four straight wins in all competitions, scoring three times in their trio of Premier League matches since the Italian left the King Power Stadium, bodes well ahead of back-to-back home encounters with Stoke and Sunderland and a trip to Crystal Palace in the next four rounds of fixtures.

With that in mind, we take a look at the Foxes’ displays since Ranieri was relieved of his duties as Fantasy Premier League managers consider a short-term move for their in-form assets.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Gtg, captain choice between Siggy, Costa and Mane in my view. I would (and am) punting on Mane as need to make up points on ML leader

It's not guaranteed but he's probably got as good a chance as any - the others being DDG, Pogba and Ibra

He's the most nailed DEF in utd. Utd have 9 fixtures in a month though so bound to be rotation at some point with europa league.

There's a chance but if he gets rested for one match is it really that much of an issue ? There will be other defenders on your bench, i wouldn't worry about rotation.

If you're worried about DGW rotation then you have to be worried about every single United player. Valencia is the most likely to play both games behind only Ibrahimovic, De Gea and maybe Pogba.

For some yes, others just in general appears. Personally i still don't see it being a major issue unless someone plans to captain him in the DGW, still has a good chance of providing attacking returns on the weeks he plays. I recognise there is a possibility he could be rested against Burnley but given his recent form, it's a chance I'm willing to take.

Haven't had a chance to research much on it but how much thought has there been given on here about pulling the trigger on an early wildcard for ~13 or so DGW players given that you will likely ride the price rises up these next couple weeks and could position your team nicely for this run in?

I'll have to look more but with all the teams involved you could wildcard a really nice team full of mostly DGW players and field a strong side for GW30-33 as well, no?

    1. MANGE TOUT RODNEY
      • 10 Years

I'm still not sure. I could play it any week between 33 and 36 I think...

The problem with that is injurys andchahew in form between now and gw37. I'd prefer getting a few dgw players in for the 2 small doubles then wc gw35/36 for the big one , BB with 15 dgw players... that's got to be the best strategy at this stage, in open to a counter argument...

Are you setting yourself up for DGW34, which is not very exciting, and be achieved with FTs over the next few weeks; or DGW37, which is miles off? Long term transfer plans never go smoothly in practice.

I am looking to WC in GW35, by which time I should have a good idea on how I want to navigate to the finishing line, including making the most of the remaining DGWs.

Alonso is a great pick and will score well, I think he'll be a shade expensive over the rest of the season. Expect Chelsea defence to regress a bit as their intensity drops / rotation with the title won.

Mane isn't essential at all, good fixtures though and I'm in no rush to get rid. Probably will for a dgw player at some stage.

Likely - if they are not winning swapping him for Darmian offers a clear attacking benefit. If they are winning swapping him out for a winger offers a clear defensive improvement.

I personally think he is more likely to be benched this week, than start, but looks a great option thereafter.

As a spurs supporter I'm not 100% sure that he will start against Burnley. Kieran Trippier used to play for Burnley and he has only been given one start in Premier League all season. That was away against Watford when he had two beautiful assists.

Walker obviously was one of few players over the international break with 180 minutes. Normally I would think that this wouldn't matter too much but with Swansea away already on Wednesday it would be a lot of matches in a wing back positon, even for Walker.

Due to this Vertonghen might be a better option if you want to transfer in a Spurs defender?

    1. MANGE TOUT RODNEY
      • 10 Years

This is why I'm considering Toby or Vert over Walker.

Surely in some of the midweek games, the FBs will get a rest. Walker didn't play any away CL games iirc so good chance he gets a rest in midweek PL games, would be a nightmare if it were in the DGWs

More interested in that than Norwegian FPL, but to be honest I would not have the time to take it seriously. I miss the Sunday night/Monday morning MLB fixtures that used to be aired on C5.

I just don't get the interest in the Norwegian FPL. I'm sure a Chinese league or an African league is also probably running at the same time. Doesn't mean we play that too.

Aguero is GW27 baggage for most who still have him. But for the Kane injury, he'd have been gone by now, and I'm getting rid next week for Ibrah. I'm happy to play him while I have him, but I don't feel obligated to Captain him because of his price.

Awful luck for the guy, he was great at the start of the season. Spurs' best player in the two-nil win against City in October. Not a nice thing to happen to a guy who worked hard after struggling to fit in initially.

    Triple Captain question

For those still holding this chip, and playing BB in 37, our only options appear to be Ibra in 34 or Sanchez in their 'extra' GW 35/36?

Or do you go for a tasty single GW home banker e.g. Sanchez/Aguero vs someone terrible...

I am on the verge of doing Coutinho > tadic for free leaving me exact money to do Sterling + Kun > Sanchez + Ibra -4 midweek. Good plan? Will Sanchez or ibra rise before Saturday?
