Can you call it a comeback? Avid listeners – and there are some, honest – will certainly hope that Granville’s return to ScoutCast action will be repeated.

For now, we just have to savour him gatecrashing our early season party, armed with a very reasonable Gameweek 1 tally.

Granville joins myself, Jonty, Andy and Az in a five-aside episode for the post-mortem of the opening weekend.

Once again we embrace your community questions, going in studs showing on all the key issues, as we assess the Zaha replacements and strap our knees to the desk to discuss De Bruyne and Kane.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Why hasn't Zaha fallen yet? Does Mark own him by any chance?

I think he sold already, so he'd be delighted if Zaha dropped actually

    Foster
    Kolasinac/Stephens/Lowe
    KDB/Miki/William/JWP
    Kane/Kaku(c)/Firmino

    Elliot/Carroll/Suttner/Long

May be the last game for KDB, keeping Kane for GW3 whatever happens

With Gross and Ritchie already, there aren't really anyone I'd fancy downgrading Zaha to.

    So what do I do?

    A) Sign Ramsey - who may not start
    B) Sign someone else
    C) Take a hit
    D) Swallow the price fall, play Lowe (NEW), and do two transfers next week

Should i save FT for next GW1, or u see any opporunities to improve by doing one transfer?
    3-4-3 or 4-3-3?

    Forster (Elliot)
    Stephens Daniels Davies (Mee Hunemeier)
    Salah Willan KDB Mkhitaryan (Atsu)
    JRod Jesus Lukaku

I can sub Willian for Mee and Play 4-3-3. Any advice will be hopefull

Is Cuco Martina nailed? The FPL site saying Coleman is out until December makes him a must-own 4.5m from GW6 for Everton's adorable fixtures (bar Arsenal) if he's nailed... My concern would be if they play three at the back, can he play the winger?

Too early to say anything. Koeman seems to like Davies and shoe horned him a couple of times on the right wing in pre season. Luckily we have a month till the toffees come into consideration.

I know I am quite heavy at the back but can easily downgrade Walker or Alonso when needed:

    My squad for GW2:

    De Gar

    Bertrand* Alonso* Walker

    Salah* Eriksen* Mkhitaryan* Atsu

    Lukaku* Vardy* Mounie

    Sub's: Elliott* Davies* Loftus-Cheek* Mbemba

    Any thoughts or obvious changes?

Yeah I agree this is the sensible thing to do. I just keep thinking of Chealse's 4-2 win over Tottenham at Wembley and am expecting a response with their loss in GW1.

Really liked how lively Atsu looked so more of a gamble really than thinking he's a better player than Davies.

Sun dream team suggest Ryan Bertrand injured but can't find this anywhere else. Anyone know anything??

    1. FlockofSeagulls
      • 8 Years
      8 years, 4 months ago

I don't play the Sun game but it could be because they assumed his earlier sub last gw was due to injury but there's been no confirmation of that at all.

I think he's sub was more a result of a very limited preseason and his manager being cautious as not to over cook him. He was also probably feeling the effects of a limited preseason himself.

I've got him and will be starting him unless I hear otherwise.

Hypothetical at this point, but Wales play a 3421 with Ramsey as one of the two no. 10s alongside Bale. If Wenger was willing to do the same, I dare say Ramsey would be such good value.
