Our usual post-Gameweek membersβ article is up next as we check in on some of the standout performers across the previous weekendβs ten matches.
Thereβs cause for optimism in north London after Spurs and Arsenal hit a combined nine goals, while our new expected goals data offers plenty to ponder at Manchester City.
Elsewhere, Man United and Chelseaβs Belgian big-hitters have struggled to convince as Watfordβs Samba star continues to catch the eye.
Virgin Van Dijk?! Ha
Could do with no Kaku drop tonight to give me some time to analyse tomorrows games
If money is no issue, which defender would you want? i'm likely to have 7.0 for a Bavies replacement
Otamendi but you have Stones. I’d get Vertonghen personally.
not Azpilicueta?
Not without Kante
Azpi
Trippier - Been one of my best performers all season.
Salah (C) will explode at some point, hattrick waiting to happen.
See below π
Hows the team now mate?
God knows .... took -4 to rage Alonso & Sterling out for Moreno & Salah lol thinking that City is a trap so, gone for Aguero & Sterling only.
Sitting at 400k, you happy?
Good moves probably. Not sure on Moreno though. 136k so doing OK
haha that's always the case when Liverpool/Moreno is involved! I predict a haul from him over the next few fixtures, seems he's back in favour and, I'm sentimentally drawn to him from a couple of seasons ago.
Yeah I need to start improving OR quickly to
I thought you said Alonso's goals would rain?
Not with 0 shots this week they won't! Raged out.
So you were just trolling with all that analysis last week? Surely one week couldn't have changed anything?
How's it trolling? He plays in midfield, established fact.
But you still argued that he was such good value with penalty area touches similar to KDB and Mkhi
more than KDB and Mkhi*
Nice trolling.
My team and, debate fact are independent.
Prabhakaran Anbazhagan
What the fk is that mess of letters?
Lol making fun of my name? Bit racist (I think).
Desperate attempt to change the subject?
Shock - People crying about nothing in 2017.
I think the subject changed when you changed it. Analysis said he's a huge threat, conclusively proved he was a mid, not sure where you're going with this as, my team is independent of the analsyis, Prabhakaran Anbazhagan.
lol racist, that's a classic
That, is the analysis as above.
Midfielder Prabhakaran Anbazhagan.
You said he was worth 7m. Yet you decided to sell him for a hit.
Leave it, you aren't going to admit that you were wrong, so there's no point arguing π
1FT left.
Hazard > Salah... yay or nay experts? Frees up 1.4m.
TEAM:
Elliot
Otamendi • Bavies • Cédric • Ward
Sterling • Hazard • Richarlison
Vardy • Aguero(C) • Kane
(Fab / RLC / TC / Yedlin)
I would be.
I'd be shuffling Bavies
Not massively concerned about him to be honest. My bench is good enough to cope anyways. Would rather nail the right attackers for this week and going forward.
Slightly uncomfortable that I did Sterling to Salah but that;s rage transfers at it's best
Nope
You think Eden will come good this weekend?
I don’t know for sure, but I think he’s a proven player with 6+ ppg over many seasons and Chelsea is playing bournemouth which has conceded many goals and shots this season.
Feels too sideways to sell him.
I'm probably making that transfer.
I'm tempted by that move but Hazard has a good record against Bournemouth.
You going for it mate? π
I haven't decided yet. Anyways Good Luck. π
Yep - means you can upgrade Vardy to Morata?
Not quite, sadly.
Richarlison about to play 3 of the leakiest defences in the league. Could get 10 points a game
Here`Λs to hoping.
Or could get a red card against Stoke... but I hope you're right π
Finger crossed
Elliot
Otamendi Luiz Ward
Hazard Sterling Richarlison Choupo
Kane Jesus Vardy
Fabianski Davies RLC Hun
2 FTs, 0.1 itb.
What do we reckon fellas? Thinking of Haz -> Salah (C) and roll the other to give me flexibility next week.
Time for some fun.
Open Google Maps and type the following:
gob shites
then hit Return.
Haha
Was expecting somewhere in Scotland because I feel that phrase sounds best in Scottish accent by far
Maps can't find gob shites
Make sure your search is spelled correctly. Try adding a city, state, or zip code.
hahahahaha
With their fixtures turning for the best ............... to be or not to be?
To Coutinho or to Salah? That is the question!
Following on from a previous assertion I made (without anything but that usually unreliable source, a hunch from the grey matter,) this is the question that can answer the question:
Does Coutinho score better against lesser opposition who are more liable to park a bus than Pool’s front three?
There’s no doubt to me that Mane and Salah are most effective on the counter allowing them to use their pace to get behind defences.
Given the ownership differential, it’s only natural to assume a bias on here for the Egyptian but do any of you stats junkies have data to support or otherwise my assertion?
All opinions welcome as Captaincy options are few and far between this week.
Tis nobler to go with Salah. A. because he is in my team. and B. if he ever learns to finish he will be pure gold.
Tough one.. leaning towards salah cause of pens
Play 1:
Mbemba (bur)
Martina (lei)
Jones (TOT)
c
Martina
c
Wimmer or Davies -> Duffy?
Elliot Krul
Davies Stones Ward Wimmer Mbemba
Coutinho D.Silva Richarlison Choupo RLC
Morata Kane Jesus
1 FT and 1.4 mill in the bank.
Wimmer
This
Wimmer Wimmer Chicken Dinner
Wimmer. Nice team
Whats the fuzz about Salah? He is almost 3m more expensive than Richarlison who has 3 points less overall.
Looks like season keeper along with Kane.
What's the fuzz about Richarlison? He's only 2 points ahead of Doucoure who's 1m cheaper.
True π
π
π
potential
That's such a dumb way of looking at things.
Dem fixtures
Would you do :
a) Ritchie and Alonso to Salah and Otamendi for -4
b) Ritchie and Bavies to Salah and Ward -4.
c) Chalobah to Richarlison for free.
Thanks guys.

Lukaku out for Aguero? Ja or Nein?
If you want Aguero on your bench this weekend, ja
Why do you think he will be benched?
He will play tonight, CL next midweek .. therefore likely to miss out on the weekend - it’s written in the tea leaves
ok Pep
π huge issue for us all - I would love to do Liukaku to Jesus or Kun
yep
Only if you feel comfortable to captain Kun, otherwise keep Lukaku
I would be comfortable if I knew he would be starting. Damn you Pep
Yep. I did

Jones and Sterling > Moreno and Coutinho for -4? Good or bad moves lads?
not for me. Sterling has had his rest and city could (and should) tear west brom apart
Bad
Terrible transfers.
I rage transferred Sterling out, not overly regretting it as Salah (C), also just bought Moreno
If I get a 4.4m def like Dunk could get Salah aswel
Not quite sure what to do this week -
2FT, 0.0 ITB
Forster / Elliot
Jones / Davies* / Azpi* / Maguire / Ward
Eriksen / Silva / Sterling / C-Moting* / RLC
Kane / Jesus / Joselu*
Quite keen on Salah/Cout but would mean losing one of my 3 big mids.
Richarlison in for C-M and downgrade Azpi/Davies?
Francis or Yedlin? Have Ryan and Elliot.
maybe Dunk instead
Would you rather have Chelsea attack or Pool attack this week?
pool
Salah
Next week team?
Elliot
Walker Jones Simpson Kola
Sterling Atsu Eriksen
Kane Kaku Jesus
Subs: Fabianski, Carroll, Chalobah, Mbemba
Plan to do Kola to Daniels next week and get Morata for Kaku around GW14 where Chelsea have double home and he is in form again. Will asses by then if it is better to make Jesus to Aguero.
If I use the money from Kola to Danies to upgrade Atsu...should I get a Watford player?
There has been some discussion on here about best use of free hit chip and don't think we can completely say when is best time.
I have been thinking does anyone consider the psychological or tactical impact of when to use the chip, particularly in relation to ML.
Example being if you used it early and got great score that resulted in healthy lead could this panic your rivals into either using theirs or making transfer mistakes?
Or could it be used as blocker in last couple of weeks? I know of case a few years ago when one person had small lead and he used the traditional WC to bring in his rivals squad, effectively stopping him having any chance of catching him.
Nice points! I plan to ignore MLs and, use it wisely around DGW time, either for a short week or a DGW where following fixtures aren't ideal.
yeah I still think DGW or blank week seem best.
I have messed about every week so far to see what a FH team would look like and haven't seen much to make me consider it was worth it.
only time will tell
I think I am keeping it in the bag for a rainy day. If I never need it, I'll maybe use it in any late double gameweeks.
Anytime may be the best time and anytime may be the worst time. If you get lucky with it you can regard it a success and vice versa.
I personally think it would cover an unplanned double fixture week like the one we had in late december last year nicely without changing ones team but that could fail big also.
The best thing for peace of mind may be just to use it up so that you dont have to worry about it for the rest of the season. May be logic in that too.
I think saving it for a shortened gameweek is best. You could gain more points playing it this week than in the short gameweek in the week itself, but it's what it allows you to do around that, i.e. not waste your transfers and squad places moving in and then out rubbish players just because they don't have a blank.
Becoming slightly concerned by Richarlson, looking like this year's Mahrez. May have to -4 him in next week if haulage.
Im doing -4 now to get the haul this weekend π
What's the fuzz about Richarlison? He's only 2 points ahead of Doucoure who's 1m cheaper.
I agree, there's a final ball issue with him, but he certainly is making things happen at Watford. I have got him for the short term to replace Brady.
I was sarcastic there mate xD
oh..... π³
π
Ric-haul-son
Will outscore our previous favourite Swans beau imo.
Morata or Vardy for the next 2 weeks?
Where would you use 1ft with this lot please?...0.8itb.
A...hazard to salah (and maybe captain salah)
B...save ft....captain Kane
C....something else
Fab Elliot
Luiz otamendi Jones ward wimmer
Hazard Silva richarlison rlc carroll
Kane Jesus vardy
Thanks
Is the Ox ever gonna break in to that first team? Looked lively in Mane's position.
As an Arsenal fan, I should probably be hoping for him to fail, but I actually hope he does get there. He's a great talent and was just starting to get some good form going at the end of last season.
didn't he say he wanted to play centre mid?
rumours still about that tino could move in January, could he replace him
Thats like replacing the local Michelin star restaurant with a Burger King.
How long until jones news I can’t take it any longer
Appaz travelled with the squad for tonight's game. No source, just saw it on here sorry!
Exciting!!!
Apperciate some advice!
Longterm most points from gmw 12?
A) Gross+ Morata
B) Richarlison/Zaha + Silva
Rich + Sterling
B with Rich.....why are you comparing 2 mids v a mid & a FW though?
Considering using my WC. Would you rather:
A) Stones, with Speroni as Elliot's backup
B) Jones, with Pope paired with Elliot
(The rest of the defense would be Daniels, Mee, Moreno, Dunk.)
B seems the prudent choice, but would love some opinions.
Thanks, in advance.
Otamendi. Stones will likely drop to the bench if Kompany gets a start
Would have Yedlin or Kiko over Moreno also
Thanks. I agree about Otamendi, but coming up with the extra 0.2 has been a challenge.
Otamendi has been great, can't see a rusty Kompany going straight in for him. Kompany is not even that good anymore.
Not concerned at all about Janmaat usurping Kiko if he has a rough match/stretch?
Defense looks poor all over. Get Azpi, Ottamendi and Jones. Been working for a while. And also have a look at Yoshida. Defenders offer the best value per £
Thanks. The defense is sort of average, but by design. I plan on taking a short-term punt on Sanchez and then being able to redistribute the funds when I downgrade him to Man U in week 12 and Chelsea in week 14. I appreciate the response.
Imo your defence is fine.
Mine is: Davies, Mee, Dunk, Naughton and Yedlin - got 2CS and 2 BPS out of 3 played last week π
Cheers. Yeah, I think the key to going with a cheap defense is making sure you don't also have a 4.0 non-playing one. If you have five that are reasonably solid, I think it can work. And, again, I plan on getting a Chelsea defender in GW14, so Azpi, Jones, and a rotation of three other guys in the 4.5 to 4.9 range at that point seems more than feasible. But I'll give it a closer look.
It's just that another poster (Jersey) planted a seed in my head yesterday about being able to captain Sanchez this week and I can't shake it loose π
Yeah I think if you've got all playing defenders it's pretty easy if you're smart about rotation, especially if you're only playing 1 of 3. I'm playing 2 of 4 and coping just fine π
Sanchez (c) would be fun and if you're on WC I think it's good to shake things up but also have an out!
Right. That's the nice thing about having Sanchez: he's such an easy out to Alli/Eriksen in GW11 or GW13, or Coutinho, etc. Thanks for putting me at ease π
Afternoon gents. Thinking of saving FT unless tonight makes it clearer that Kun will start over Jesus on weekend. 0 in bank.
Elliot
Jones Mee Cedric
Salah Silva Sterling RLC
Kane (c) Lukaku Jesus
Foster Naughton Mbemba Chalobah
Vardy, RLC > 6.3, Richarlison (-4)
Dont think I want to but what do folk think?
Do you not want Vardy against Everton?
NO man, especially not for a -4
This is what happens when you do you transfer for the week early and come up with things like the above...
