The penultimate fixture of the packed festive schedule gets underway at 7.45pm as Arsenal and Chelsea go head-to-head at the Emirates.

For the hosts, Alexis Sanchez has upped his output in recent weeks – after a slow start to the season, last term’s top scoring player in Fantasy Premier League has delivered points in seven of his last 10 league appearances.

That form suggest that the Chilean is likely to pose the main danger to a defence that’s conceded just four times in their previous 11.

Nonetheless, it’s Alexandre Lacazette who is the Gunners’ most captained player for Gameweek 22, handed the armband by 2.02%.

The Frenchman has been a consistent source of points at home, producing a goal or assist in seven of his 10 appearances, but he’s struggled for a cutting edge of late and failed to find the net since Gameweek 15.

A return to form could reignite interest in Lacazette ahead of four kind fixtures (bou CRY swa EVE) in as many Gameweeks.

Despite a run of two goals in the last nine Gameweeks, Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata (3.7%) is the top armband pick for this fixture.

That lack of form means that the Spaniard and team-mate Eden Hazard were among the top five most transferred out players for Gameweek 22, sent packing by 243,000+ and 207,000+ respectively.

Hazard has mustered just a single assist in five yet both he and Morata also have some decent fixtures ahead to arrest their recent declines – over the next five Gameweeks, Antonio Conte’s side host Leicester, Bournemouth and West Brom and also make their way to Brighton and Watford.

Encouragingly for Hazard’s owners, he looks set to return to a central role with the visitors rolling out a 3-5-1-1 formation.

The Gunners, meanwhile, welcome back Mesut Ozil from a minor knee problem, though injuries in defence means that Arsene Wenger is forced to field the likes of Calum Chambers, Rob Holding and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in his starting line-up.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Would you play Mee or take a hit for Jones this week. Would be priced out otherwise or need to wait several weeks for him until I raise funds elsewhere. Wouldn't normally take hits for defenders but a back line of Alonso, Otamendi and Jones would be very nice indeed, set and forget.

Or could play mee then downgrade ota to stones and get Jones in?

Why are delusional Richarlison owners holding on to him? Hit the 2 times at home 12 away in near 1900 mins. Last 9 games since Lingard started getting good minutes 70pts to Rich 27pts and still cheaper 😆

I am getting really sick of not owning Alonso!
Christensen -> Alonso for a hit? I already took a hit this week but I am changing the structure of my whole team after weeks of not taking any hits.
This move would allow me to do Son -> Mahrez the week after.

    Thoughts? Thanks guys

TAA 35 points in his 5 starts since gw6 - Either plays proper minutes or not at all.

For 4.2m must be a tactic to always start him but understanding he'll probably be autosubbed out.

That's what I've been posting. 4.5ppg only started 8 never come on as sub. Last 5 scores 7 2 7 14 5. Have as 5th def always start unless bad fixture and let bench do auto sub work

A nice idea until your nailed 5th defender gets subbed or rotated or injured or banned ... Tarkowski, Lowton, Kenny ...

Much prefer 2 nailed 4.5 defenders, just in case (never seem to achieve it though, see list above 😉 )

Don't think Im going back to 2 up top until my next WC just going to switch between Kane/Aguero during good and bad fixtures. Play 5 strong mids and have Otamendi,Alonso Jones at back. Look something like:

    Fabianski
    Otamendi,Alonso Jones
    Salah,Sterling,Lingard,KDB,pogba
    Kane

then when Kanes bad fix come, Aguero in KDB out and Alli in. Something like that could work well,

Tempted to save ft this week:

    Elliot (Pope)
    Alonso, Otamendi, Vert (Mee, Ogbonna)
    Salah, Sterling, Son, Arnautovic, Lingard
    Kane (c), Firmino (DCL)

I'm tempted to play Mee over Otamendi as I can't see a cs from Otamendi although he does offer attacking threat. However Mee has a good chance of cs against Palace although Pope will probably come in for Elliot so that would mean a double up.

    Thoughts & thanks.
