The final round of festive fixtures comes to its conclusion at Wembley Stadium as Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham play the second match of their double Gameweek 22.

Much to our collective relief, Harry Kane returns to the hosts’ starting line-up after producing just a single point from his 22 minutes off the bench at Swansea on Tuesday night.

It’s fair to say that the Fantasy Premier League hopes of many managers rely on the Spurs striker this evening.

Not only is he the top captain pick for the Gameweek (24.2%), a hefty 121,000+ Triple Captain chips have been wielded on Kane in light of back-to-back hat-tricks in his previous two starts.

The allure of a double Gameweek has also boosted in interest in Spurs midfield trio Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli. All three join Kane on the teamsheet and are also among the top 13 armband picks for Gameweek 22.

The top transfer target for Gameweek 22, with 498,000+ new owners, Son has scored in five of Tottenham’s last six at Wembley, totalling 57 points over those matches.

Eriksen and Alli, meanwhile, bagged an assist and goal respectively in Tuesday’s win at Swansea to continue their improved form.

The Dane has supplied points in six of his last seven outings, while Alli has two goals and four assists in his previous three.

At the back, Ben Davies earns successive starts for the first time since Gameweek 16 as Danny Rose misses out with a knee complaint again.

The big news for the Hammers is that Marko Arnautovic is sidelined with a minor hamstring problem.

Drafted in by over 368,000 for his pair of fixtures, he ends double Gameweek 22 on five points, having earned the assist for Andy Carroll’s late winner against West Brom.

Carroll’s two goals in the Baggies’ clash isn’t enough to keep his role in the XI, though – he drops to the bench as Chicharito leads the line instead.

The Mexican and Manuel Lanzini – who has supplied four assists in his previous five – carry the main threat to a defence that’s looking for their tenth clean sheet of the season.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Going to be interesting captaincy choices in a few weeks when Kane has 3 bad fixtures and kin has 3 favourable ones.....

    GW22 transfers were:

    Hazard (10) ➡ Eriksen (8)
    Morata (2) ➡ Vardy (0)
    RLC (0) ➡ Arnie (5)

    For a -4

    bit of a fail

On paper I agree, the RLC to Arnie transfer was alright but I think I should've just gone with the cheap option rather than the luxury and gone with Son..

Who knows what Vardy would've done against Huddersfield though if he was fit

Hazard to Eriksen sounds like failure to failure... Son is cheaper and doing the job.

Eriksen is a good player and I will transfer him in the minute Kane has injury (hope that never happens).

Is it risky getting rid of Son? He seems to have taken the step from but part player to one of the main men

Only bought him for Stoke and Kane blank after months of rubbishing. My instinct was correct. He is rubbish. Overrated and overpriced for someone that has no double figure haul since patchwork Stoke defence in GW6

Shite is a player that costs that much who hasn't recorded double figure haul since GW6 and blanks at home to Stoke in 5-0 mauling. So unbelievably overrated on here for months

    Kane

    1. Maximus Bonimus Pointimus
      • 16 Years
      8 years, 7 months ago

I was thinking azpi Alonso too, but looked at Chelsea's fixtures - are theybdeceptively difficult? They have lot s of cup games v Arsenal etc sandwiched in 3 days before the FPL gamea... thinking they will be dead on their feet

i see where you're coming from, still see quite a few CS in there, banking on them being knocked out by Barca. Jones DDG over Azpi and Pickford?

          • 16 Years
          8 years, 7 months ago

Yes to DDG... think no to Jones... Stones instead... but then you have Ota!. I think VVD over Christensen too, to diversify the portfolio a bit. Alonso is gold, regardless of fixtures though

I think Pogba is gold, he is MouMou's darling & is just too talented not to be scoring nearly every game, I'd say he'll be 9.5 or 10.0 next year. Reckon he's got pens too.

Help me based FFS readers you're my only hope. Here is my current state:

    Adrian, Speroni.

    Christensen, Jones, Vertonghen, Kenny, Masuaku.

    Salah, Sterling, Alli, Arnautovic, RLC.

    Kane, Firmino, Quaner.

    2.5M ITB, 1 FT.

    I am currently thinking of:
    - letting the FT rollover then do Alli & Vertonghen to De Bruyne & Stones. That would give me enough $ in the bank to do Christensen -> Alonso.
    - Or should I be focusing on getting out Masuaku/Speroni instead?
    - Or dealing with the Arnie/RLC yellow flags?
    - Or trying to get in Aguero?

Still have WC, Free hit & bench boost.

    Cheers!!

Apparently we need to stock up on heavy hitter defenders.

      I aint going there.

Guy in my ML had no Spurs and no WH this week. He out scored me and my rival, both of us having some combo of Kane, Son, Alli or Eriksen. We’ll be hearing about this one for a bit. Such is fantasy life, I guess.

I would, but not sure if he would be second or third mid. Lingard offers value.

Yes and Lingard for Stoke and immediate fixtures. Then keep Lingard and offload Pogba when Lukaku back as he'll probably revert to deeper

Sell Christensen or Mee for Alonso?

    Chelsea double up worth it?

It's so hard sell Mee for me. I plan to sell Christensen to Alonso, but seems like a sideways move. Alonso, Jones, Stones, Mee and Long will be my defense, probably.

Are you mental. Avoid Aguero like the plague imo, keep Kane, perma captain him, and get 2 of KDB Silva, Sterling, Sané etc instead of Kun. Stones also

        What

There's no need for an 11.6m player in a team with Kane. And there's no point in a team without Kane. Cognito ergo sun - avoid like plague

Cognito ergo Son is my fpl team name next year.
This dgw was a good example of a team that doesn’t need Kane. Aguero stock is higher too with Jesus out.

No point in a tram without Kane? No point in a team with Kane if he is not the highest scoring player in the game which he patently isn't.

That's like saying Roast Turkey Dinner or pot noodle. They're both nice, but one is a dirty short term guilty pleasure ready in 2 mins. The other might take a while to be ready, but is pure class & is here to stay.

Yes...so which will it be? Getting Lingard means more to spend elsewhere, its not all about how they perform vs each other but rather returns vs investment...
