With just four fixtures confirmed for Gameweek 31 so far, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) options for this particular weekend appear thin on the ground.

Restricted to just three players from any one side, managers find themselves exploring hitherto uncharted waters in the hopes of fleshing out a starting lineup capable of returning an adequate points haul.

Though a number of us may choose to preserve our Free Hit Chips for Gameweek 35 instead – content to roll out just seven or eight players in Gameweek 31 – others may view this Gameweek as an ideal opportunity to deploy the Free Hit now in order to gain ground on the pack.

With this in mind, this Technical Area will be looking beyond the obvious candidates for filling out our Gameweek 31 squads and pinpointing some high-upside players capable of big returns.

    Which combination is better for GW 31? My transfers this week will dictate what route I take for 31

    A) Firmino and Stanislas
    B) Mane and Niasse

    If I do A this week I’ll have to get Mahrez next week.

    If I do B I’ll get mahrez in this week and won’t have to play Hennessey against Spurs

      If Jones isn"t OUT then sell Alonso...my team is similar and I'll spend 2 fts on Firmino & VVD (Kun & Jones/Alonso)

        Those are good moves for you, I couldn’t do too much with Alonso money though, doesn’t allow me to get firmino. So I was prioritizing otamendi or Jones out

    For me I think Alonso out is the best route forward. Sanity check my workings out please.

    This week: Alonso > VVD
    GW 29: Jones > Monreal
    GW30: Ayew > Wilson
    GW31 players:
    *VVD
    *Kenny
    *Salah
    *Walcott
    *Shaqiri
    *Firmino
    *Wilson
    GW32: WC

    Then BB, FHC, TC etc. Onwards.

    Make sense? All relies on the money from Alonso.
