With just four fixtures confirmed for Gameweek 31 so far, Fantasy Premier League (FPL) options for this particular weekend appear thin on the ground.

Restricted to just three players from any one side, managers find themselves exploring hitherto uncharted waters in the hopes of fleshing out a starting lineup capable of returning an adequate points haul.

Though a number of us may choose to preserve our Free Hit Chips for Gameweek 35 instead – content to roll out just seven or eight players in Gameweek 31 – others may view this Gameweek as an ideal opportunity to deploy the Free Hit now in order to gain ground on the pack.

With this in mind, this Technical Area will be looking beyond the obvious candidates for filling out our Gameweek 31 squads and pinpointing some high-upside players capable of big returns.

Guys can I have a bit of advice please? So both my substutute defenders are injured and I’ve already made my transfers to -4.

Would you do Jones to someone else to make it -8. Obviously even if they just play it could recoup half the 4 points spent. If that makes sense.

Or just play with 10 men this week?

        You have been the most confident voice on here re keeping Son, you really don't think he is at risk of losing his spot in the starting line up ? The fixtures are great and id hate to ditch him then watch him play against Palace and even worse start v Huddersfield ! His away form hasn't been great though regardless.

        I actually think he's been our best player this season ( arguably). He was terrible vs Southampton but hes played well is most games he blanked and opens up so much space . he Also scores and creates . Wasn't long ago Poch was saying how important he is for us. Vs the weaker teams we can afford to attack I think he's perfect.
        
        I'm not trying to second guess Poch and I could get burned but to drop son now is very harsh . He's worth one more week to assess. I think the risk- reward is there. If he plays and scores vs palace it will annoy you knowing he plays hudders at home next
        
        Good luck whatever you do. I'll prob regret it haha

No WC, all other chips. The accepted wisdom seems to be BB 34, TC 37. But in my case might it be better to TC 34, BB 37 therefore allowing extra weeks to rebuild after 31? FH like everyone else 35.

I should have 7 or 8 GW 31 players, could have more if I wanted with no hits (10) but that should be enough?
