After a recent hiatus, we return to check in once again with the Referee data in our members’ section and assess the recent appointments for Gameweek 30.

Scanning the assignments and Opta statistics, the idea is to pick out any whistlers that could have a potential impact on their respective fixtures and the players in line to potentially either profit or suffer as a consequence.

When Juve got a bit physical with Spurs cracks started to appear maybe this is the way to get at them.

First PL team to play 2 legs against tough opposition and they go out.

Going exactly as I'd expected. Chelsea the other team with a 2nd leg against a top side, I expect them gone. Who knows with United, Pool and City I'll wait until they face a good opponent. All the chatter of the PL being a force in the CL again may be premature.

      1. Davido989
        • 15 Years

I think City and Pool would want to face the so called bigger teams. Would be surprising if 1 or 2 English teams don't make the semis.

A lot depends on the draw (depending as well on United and Chelsea results). I think of City or Pool draw Shakhtar or Roma, they'll get by them no problem.

I reckon I'll judge it based on how any of the PL sides face off against the likes of Bayern, Real or Barca (again, dependent on Chelsea). That's the real litmus test for progression for me.

City have United at home wedged between their CL QFs. Liverpool have Everton away. Should ease worries of rotation.

Spurs away to Stoke may have cause a headache but they sorted that out nice and early!

Look at the difference between Spurs when he took over and now? And yeah no trophies blah blah but how they play has improved so much.

This is Real Madrid. The biggest club in the world, the most demanding club in the world. Expectations are different, standards are different. Player development doesn't mean much.

Win the league, win the CL and make sure Ronaldo stays top.

Whole different level to what Poch has done and is doing.

Zidane got the job for no reason other than he used to play for them.
I just see him going there as pretty likely. If we consider other top managers at the moment. Klopp is not their type at all. Guardiola & Simeone obviously wouldn't. The Napoli coach wouldn't leave. So then Allegro or Emery or someone like that? I think Poch would suit them personally

Klopp's not going anywhere already said he'll retire at Pool.

If Zizou when's UCL again he's not going anywhere

I can't see why PSG or RM wouldn't take a chance on Poch should they change their mangers. They'd be seeing it as, we have better players than Spurs for Pochettino to work with.

What did Enrique do before he got the Barca job? I'm not saying Poch will win trophies there, nevertheless it's a good opportunity for him.

Son was the best TOT player in the field. And it was Alli who got substituted. Davies is likely bigger rotation risk. Ogbonna ill and Robertson with knock. Houston, we have a problem 🙁

    Evening!

    DDG Speroni
    VVD Schindler Kenny Alonso Ogbonna
    Salah Shaqiri Son Mahrez RLC
    Firmino Wilson Kane

    2 FTs and 1.6 itb.

    A) DDG & RLC => Lössl & Walcott (both have a good fixture this week and will play on 31)
    B) Son => Silva (have 2 frees for next week)

A would give me 8 players (or 9 if Kenny plays) for GW 31 with one FT to make that 9 (10) next week. Got exact cash to do this.

    Will wildcard week 32.
