The curtailed Gameweek 35 concludes at Goodison Park tonight as Everton host Newcastle United in a fixture that has all the makings of a dead rubber.

The two teams are now surely safe from the threat of relegation and appear to be playing for Premier League prize money only over the remaining matches.

But from a Fantasy perspective, there is still interest in the Merseyside clash, with Free Hit managers investing in the likes of Jordan Pickford, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman in their one-week refresh.

All start for the home side tonight.

Meanwhile, those without the chip at their disposal, likely take Magpies assets into this match, with Ayoze Perez, Kenedy and budget defender Paul Dummett among the most likely to feature in squads.

Indeed, Perez is the most signed player on show tonight, having commanded over 133,000+ transfers in ahead of Saturday’s deadline.

That follows a rich vein of form from the Spaniard which has produced three goals and three two assists from his last three Gameweek starts.

Perez sits behind Islam Slimani in the attack tonight, with the Algerian starting a Premier League match for Newcastle for the first time since his loan move from Leicester City.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Bench one from:

    A) Arnie (mci)
    B) Gundogan (WHM)
    C) JWP (BOU)

Worried of a Gundo 1 point cameo

My ML rival is ahead by 20 points and has his TC and WC intact. As I only have my TC left I need to do something, especially since we both might TC Kane.

In order to avoid him mirroring my team I’m thinking of saving my FT and probably take a hit or two going into the final DGW. That way I can differentiate. Good plan?

Walcott scores the only goal of the game and gets no bonus.

Fabianski picks the Ball out of his net 5 times and gets bonus.

The PFA player of the year is somehow, incredibly allergic to bonus points.

The bonus points system is simply not fit for purpose.

When will people with a high profile in FPL speak out and get the criteria for BPS changed.

        It just needs fine tuning.

Salah is about to break all FPL records and yet BPS hates him. There is something fundamentally wrong there.

People love points. I think there should also be 2 points for a partial clean sheet and 2 points for an opta key contribution (this would get rid of all the contention with dodgy assists).

            1. Deulofail
              • 10 Years
              8 years, 3 months ago

I'm in agreement about something like the opta key contribution, then stick with assists being assists, not FPL assists.

Though points for winning a penalty (even when you take the penalty) should also be assists, which then creates some confusion.

Maybe winning penalties should count as a key contribution, regardless of whether they are scored, and winning a freekick in the final third counts towards bps points, no assist. But now we are talking about confusing it even more, and falling farther from opta than we should.

They definitely need to change the BPS awarded for a penalty save. No player should ever get bonus in a 5-0 defeat. He already gets points for the penalty save, the automatic bonus that comes with it is too much.

Yeah, exactly as you've put it. Save or Mahrez to Sterling or Eriksen. The difficulty would be not so much whether to keep Mahrez or not, but more on whether to bring in Sterling or Eriksen (or save for more information next week). I think Eriksen has the better fixture and is nailed to start. You never know with Pep. Spurs have to perform at home to Watford, surely. It's a tough one.

Cheers Professor, good to get some backing for my thoughts on possible Mahrez out transfer. Will take a look later in the week if there is any more information on possible City line up. I think I'll want to bring both (Eriksen and Sterling) in come GW37. Pretty much 50/50 between those this GW though as you said.

GW36: Ryan, Willian, Lukaku to 3.9, Sterling, Jesus (-8)

Too many hits, imo. I'd like to keep Willian (mainly because of price range, but.I think he can be still be good value). How about a simple Mahrez to Sterling or Lukaku to Jesus? If Salah doesn't start, he's clearly the one to go. May even be worth saving for one more GW.

I like Barnes to Ayew in GW 37. Morgan to VDH, hmm it depends. Might be worth it.

52 points behind in mini league.

    Team for next week.
    De Gea
Van Dijk, Lowton, Dummett, PVA, Mustafi
    Lingard, Salah, Sterling, Alli, Mili
    Kane, Aubameyang, Rodriguez

Rival has Jesus, Mane and Son as key differentials. Mine are Sterling, Alli, Auba.

Anything worth doing for a hit ahead of 37? Or just hold transfer and reassess next week.

Kane and Jesus the two premium forwards to have going forward?

Or Aubameyang, Lukaku, Vardy or Firmino better options?

Kane and Lukaku for 36. Then maybe Lukau to Jesus in 37.

Kane and Jesus would be first pick. Auba and Vardy both under the radar and could also haul in DGW37. Would avoid Firmino and Lukaku

Anyone ever spotted their rival on here?
Like, via linked team or a RMT etc?

If so, did you say, or use it to your advantage

I haven't, but I'd imagine some might know who I am, and that they do use it to their advantage. Paranoia setting in

    GTG?

    Pope
    Christensen Morgan Dunk
    Son Salah Mahrez Groß Willian
    (K)ane Vardy

    Bench: Murray Lowton Bailly

Bench one - has to be Mahrez, right?

    A) Mahrez vs cpa
    B) Arnie vs MCI
    C) Barnes vs BHA
    D) Willian vs swa

    1. MTPockets
      8 years, 3 months ago

Not that optimistic about Arnie, but would probably bench Willian just on basis that Mahrez will play the game.

Willian played 64 mins in midweek, why wouldn't he start on Saturday?

By 'game' I meant full game. I don't know on Willian.

No way. Willian i reckon as conte said he would like to have Morata and Giroud together as a pair as an option too which intensifies his rotation risk or maybe barnes

    Current team:

    Ryan
    Lowton Tarkowski Vertonghen
    Willian Alli Mahrez Kenedy
    Kane Lukaku Barnes

    Schmeichel Alonso Lingard Chilwell

    0ITB, 1FT

Would a good plan be Alonso > Dummet and Lingard > Sterling for a hit (exact funds)? I’m worried Alonso will rotate with Emerson in the last 3 games? If he plays all 3 then he’s definitely a keeper.

Then probably try and block my ML rival in GW37 (37 point lead atm). Maybe Willian > Arnie or Lukaku > Auba/Jesus.
