The last World Cup 2018 quarter-final place will be decided this evening as Colombia and England meet in Moscow in a 7pm kick-off.

From a Fantasy perspective, there is only one place to start. Harry Kane (£11.2m) was the third-most bought player ahead of the round of 16 transfer deadline last Saturday, having attracted over 360,000 new owners in the McDonald’s FIFA game. Kane is now owned by 31% of Fantasy managers, with only Romelu Lukaku proving a more popular pick in attack.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker was lethal in his two group stage appearances, scoring from all five of his shots attempted inside the opposition box. Kane’s goal haul includes two successful spot-kicks.

Jesse Lingard (£7.6m) is, perhaps surprisingly, the next most-owned England asset, sitting in 16.8% of Fantasy squads.

John Stones (£5.9m) remains the most popular route into the England backline, having been selected by 14.6% of those playing McDonald’s FIFA. Gareth Southgate’s side have yet to keep a clean sheet at this year’s tournament but Stones has posed a threat from attacking set pieces, scoring on two occasions from five attempts on goal.

Colombia are without James Rodriguez (£9.0m) in their starting XI, with the attacking midfielder losing his race for fitness after picking up an injury in the 1-0 win over Senegal.

Juan Quintero (£5.7m), who has one goal and two assists to his name at this World Cup, and Carlos Sanchez (£4.3m) are the two most popular Colombia assets on show tonight, sitting in 15.2% and 10.4% of Fantasy squads respectively.

Yerry Mina (£5.8m), who has scored a goal and kept a clean sheet in both of his World Cup appearances, has been selected by 7.5% of McDonald’s FIFA managers, meanwhile.

Ah, what the heck, Lukaku to Neymar done for a hit, his stats scare me and I want to captain him.

I have a front 3 of Mbappe, Hazard, Kane. Main ML rival had Messi so is likely to get Neymar. Should I sell any of the above for Neymar? (And downgrade elsewhere to do so)

Yes, by 10 points. We bith already have Coutinho and I could get Willian for Isco to try and cover Neymar

I think your ok to keep who you have. I’ve the same except Mbappe > Neymar but wouldn’t change imo. Don’t you have any other more pressing transfers to make?

Hoping so. Played the full 90 in first 2 matches, then first 102 minutes of last match. Looks to be on corners and has quite a few crosses in. I’m thinking England will win 2-0 from 2 headers off corners/crosses.

So I’m banking on England and Croatia winning. That would mean I lose 1 from URU-FRA, 2 from BEL-BRA, and then 1 from each CRO-RUS and ENG-SWE which equals the 5 free transfers for next round.

Now that my emotions have died down, apologies for a few immature posts earlier. (Not that anyone cares or anything)

Decades of penalty heartache.... that relief was something else.

I don't think Quintero->Cheryshev is worth a hit if you have subs. If you have another keeper, keep Sommer.

Got 9 players through to QFs. Phew.

England will beat Sweden no problem. Now we've put all the teams that want to cheat and wrestle behind us.

    Sorry haters: Its coming home.

He looked dangerous. But Belgium is not Mexico. Hard call.

The quarter finals will definitely be the round of the differentials with probably lots of points off the bench. Firmino, fellaini, etc

I’ve got him but don’t know how save he is. For 4.5 it’s worth the risk as long as your not 100% relying on him

I'm in a little bit of dillema here so help me out please.

Wildcard still intact, have 12 out of 15 players playing next round:

    Suba/Allison
    Granq/Fagner/Tripp/Meunier
    C.Sanchez/Lingard/Coutinho/Claesson
    Hazard/Mbappe

Do i save wc for semis? cuz really i cant certainly say someone will explode in QF or keep a clean sheet for that matter, so might as well hold with this crew intact (isco, costa and carvajal going out for some croats and eng).
What would you do? wc or just use freebies?

    A) Lovren (Already got Subasic and modric)
    B) Fagner (Already got Tiago, Cout and Neymar)
    C) Maguire (Already got trippier, Kane and Lingard)
    D) Hernandez (Already got pavard)
    Or anyone else?
