In the long term it might, but if you just look in the short term then he looks worth having as many of the other expensive options are likely to have bigger world cup hangovers and the initial few fixtures make Salah the obvious captain pick, especially for gw 1

It's hard to say. It's a game of probabilities, basically, so either way you go you're just rolling the dice. I'd say just make a couple of teams nearer the deadline with and without, and just pick which one seems the best based on.....all the factors. Doesn't sound much like help that, does it? 😆 But I'm saying there is no blanket right or wrong answer. It depends on the rest of the team and the strategy

I played most of last season without Salah. I "helped" my partner pick her team through the season, she had Salah from the start, mostly captained and finished 11k. I finished 200k.

I was one of the most pro-Salah people last year, and he's immediately become my favourite FPL player. But somehow all my drafts so far have been Salah-less, we'll see if I cave and get him in.

It's mainly to accommodate both Aguero and Aubameyang, who I'm quite certain I want to start the season with.

I don’t think you could go wrong with either of them, but personally I’d go for 2, just because I wouldn’t have to worry about mendy being rotated
