Brighton and Hove Albion entertain Manchester United in the late-afternoon match, with Alexis Sanchez‘s (£10.5m) omission from Jose Mourinho’s match-day squad the headline news.

The United boss confirmed the Chilean midfielder, the ninth-most captained player of Gameweek 2, misses the trip to Brighton through injury.

Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m) gets his first league start of the season, as do Ashley Young (£6.0m) and Anthony Martial (£7.4m). Matteo Darmian (£5.0m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.0m) make way.

Paul Pogba (£8.1m), the fifth-most bought player of Gameweek 2, captains United once more.

The Seagulls’ only two changes from the side that lost to Watford are in the full-back department: Bernardo and the injured Bruno being replaced by Gaetan Bong and debutant Martin Montoya (all £4.5m).

That Dale Stephens (£4.5m) is the most-owned Brighton player in FPL, sitting in 10% of squads, says much about the Fantasy community’s faith in the Seagulls this afternoon. Stephens is also the fifth-most benched player of Gameweek 2: over 84% of his owners have opted against playing the budget midfielder.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Propper, Stephens, Gross, March, Knockaert, Murray

Manchester United XI: De Gea, Young, Bailly, Lindelof; Shaw, Pereira, Fred, Pogba, Martial, Mata, Lukaku

    Ederson
    Mendy - Alonso - Peirera - AWB
    Mane - Mkhi - Richarlison - Hazard
    Auba - Aguero.

    Bench - Fodders.

I'd ideally like Salah but only way I can see is downgrading Auba and one of Mane/Hazard but it just seems a lot more balanced, like that. Perfect WC?

I don't have Salah and also contemplating wildcarding to a similar team. Mkhi is not a certain starter so not sure about him but might be worth a punt on WC

Lacazette started on the bench last two games against Chelsea and Man City.

With improving fixtures it's possible Lacazette will start along with Aubameyang which will likely mean that one of Iwobi Ozil or Mkhitaryan will miss out from the midfield (Most likely Iwobi but could be Mkhi)

Emery still figuring out his team

Save your -4. BSilva and Mkhitaryan are both good enough for the points. You are waiting -4 when both could have similar points over the next few weeks.

That is just my thoughts. Like the other 2 xfers though.

Shocking 2 GWS, potentially 5 people dropping in price this week. Thinking of wildcarding...

Bellerin, Eriksen, Sanchez, Jota, J.King > Alonso, Pogba, Richarlison, £6.2m, Aguero

Thoughts and who to get for £6.2? If no one available at that price alternatives are to change Bellerin to someone else instead of Alonso which could free up a bit more money

    1. Dr. Rog
      • 16 Years

      bellerin is a good option

I would keep Bellerin & Eriksen.

Sanchez, Jota, King, you could maybe get rid of.

Could possibly bring in Richarlison, Fraser/Neves/Kante, Aguero?

Would save your wildcard for later. Eriksen is a long term investment. Arsenal fixtures are really good from GW3 and Bellerin got forward a fair bit v Chelsea. People say no to Kante, but he will be getting forward more. Maybe not many goals but should get more assists.

Just an idea so you can save on your wildcard just now.

Predictions were wrong. He's been very attacking and looks a great buy.

He’s still attacking but Chelsea are wide open at the back. I know it’s how Sarri plays but I’m not sure it’s sustainable.

Pogba lost possession 27 times today.

Really stepping up in the absence of Sanchez.

This. I really in a dilemma right now.
      Wants Mkhitaryan for Eriksen.
      BUT
Looking at Eriksen's underlying stats seems like soon he's gonna punish sellers.

        Hold in my opinion.

We bought him for a reason. If Groß can light up that United defence.....

Just think Mourinho will overreact after this loss and park every bus he can find next week to make sure Utd don't lose to Spurs, 0-0 or 1-0 incoming...

Ddg-4.5 and Sakho-Alonso before price rises looking good?

Best 4.5 gk? Currently on McCarthy but Fosters 3 homefixtures tempting.
