We can reveal that Mark Sutherns has played his Wildcard for Gameweek 3 of the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.

Joe spoke to him in the latest episode of ScoutCast Extra Time on Friday afternoon to find out his reasons for hitting the button and making a raft of changes.

You can watch that video below or on our YouTube channel.

Mark explained that a lot of his decision revolved around how volatile the transfer market has been since Sergio Aguero‘s (£11.2m) hat-trick in Gameweek 2.

With managers all over the world chopping and changing Mark was faced with a situation where several of his original assets were facing price falls, and those he wanted to replace them with were going in the opposite direction.

Joe made the case for sticking with Mark’s original Gameweek 2 team but it will definitely be an all-new line-up in Gameweek 3.

In our latest edition of ScoutCast Extra Time, Mark takes us through two different teams he is considering before Saturday’s 11:30am deadline – one with Eden Hazard (£10.5m) and one without.

Team value at 101.3M currently with robbo, mane and richa all likely to rise again in the next few days. What's your Team value as at now??

          Ederson
          Alonso - Mendy - Robbo
          Richarlison - Mane - Pedro - Miki
          Aguero - Zaha - Auba

Hamer - Fraser - Wan Bass - Bennett

"We have a very strange 4-5-1 formation with Sadio as a midfielder, Bobby [Firmino] being a midfielder more or less and Mo [Salah] being a striker, even though he plays in a little different position."

FPL towers should file away this for next season. Salah classed as a mid is silly!

    1. Feloh
      • 9 Years

how is it silly when we are getting extra points for a goal and another extra one for a cleanie?

he wouldn't be 13m as a forward tho. paying a premium for the extra point

maybe so... pretty sure Ronaldo was always a mid even when playing as good as up top at utd

He scored more goals & assits than Kane, why would he be cheaper? At least the same price as Kane imo..

Yeah fair point. I still think they should be evenly priced if he was a forward. 🙂

Game should be more consistent, the likes of Zaha and Arnie were reclassified as forwards, Salah should have been also!

        1. Evil Buddha
          • 11 Years

Salah's position is of a winger while others play at striker.

But he is not a midfielder, he is a forward mate!

Wingers are not forwards. They may play furthest like Salah's, Ronaldo or might not like others.

Klopp stated that Salah is his striker and that Bobby & Mane are midfielders, surely that carries weight!

Far too many forwards are classified as midfielders, it should be that everyone that plays in a front 3 is a forward. It is a bit of a candy shop this game.

Cedric - wouldn't really expect points from either (opponents both on form), but go with the home side in a choice like this. Bookies agree.

Pickford - bookies give Everton over x2 better chance of a clean sheet

Both probably will, but Everton are less likely to. Pickford can also get save points against B'mouth's attacking side.

    Bottomed.
Is mkhi really going to do the business this week? Feel like a lot of people have him and he is very hot and cold. I have no arsenal cover (except guendouzi but I’m not counting that) so do I need the cover or shall I just wait and see for a week?

I think he'll do well, now that the fixtures will be easier. Too soon to judge him, but I took the risk and brought him in anyway. His chance creation stat isnt bad either.

Aguero to punish non captainers again.

I can see no reason why city cant score 3-4 goals against wolves (when leicester everton managed to score 2)

Need to bench one of King, Ings, and Pereira (Lei).

Bookies odds marginally favour dropping Ings, so currently have him out, but he seems in better form and better positioned than King. Southampton play Leicester though, and Pereira has surely done too well in attack the past two weeks to drop? Can't make my mind up!

    Morning chaps.

Would you feel confident going into GW3 with the following:

    De Gea
    Robertson / Mendy / Tomkins
    Salah (C) / Manè / Mkhitaryan / Richarlison
    Agüero (v) / Tosun / Zaha

    Hamer / Peltier / Stephens / Wan-Bissaka

2FT made, £0.0ITB and WC still intact.

    Cheers.

    Pickford, Stekeleberg

    Aguero, Arnautovic, Zaha

    Foster
    Shaw---Trent---Tomkins
    Mhki--Salah--Rich--Sanchez
    Firmino---Aguero---Kamara

Bench: Fabianksi, Daniels, Wan B, Hudson Odoi

Need to get rid of Sanchez for -4 (only hit) for Hazard/Sterling. Would do Mane but already have 3 Liverpool. Hazard worries me because Newcastle are no pushovers and he is just returning.A better pick for GW4. I am sure Sterling starts but he doesn't seem long term given rotation. I see United vs Spurs being low scoring and Sanchez might not even start

    A. Sanchez > Hazard (-4)
    B. Sanchez > Sterling (-4)
    C. Do nothing

Any ideas where to use my 2 FTs, or even 1? I think the weak links are currently Pickford, maybe shaw but open to suggestions. I have 0 itb

    Pickford, Stekeleberg
    Mendy, TAA, Shaw, Tomkins, AWB
    Salah, Mane, B.Silva, Maddison, Neves
    Aguero, Arnautovic, Zaha

Bernardo to Mkhitaryan maybe. I think Bernardo may play wingback again so he wont be contributing much in fpl.

You have a really solid team with barely anything wrong with it. I'm quite jealous, if it were me I'd be tempted to do Bilva -> Mkhitaryan to get some Arsenal. Aguero & Mendy will often outscore Bilva. Having said that, I still own Bilva and not Mkhi but only because I have other fires (Sigurdsson & Cairney this week, still own Coleman & Bednarek...).

If you don't fancy that move then Pickford out would be my next thought.

      Good luck with your gameweek!

Bring Auba in instead of Aguero, then bring Aguero back for the 4th game week

A or B question as promised

    DDG (4)
    Robbo Mendy Kabasel (4, 4)
    Salah Richa Bilva Eriksen Fraser
    Kun King Jimenez

    1FT

Want to drop Eriksen, so option:
    A. Mkhi
    B. Pedro
    C. Pogba
    D. Keep Erksen and do below move only

And want to do Jimenez to Ings this GW (but that will be -4)
    1. Do it
    2. Wait for next GW
    3. Option D of above

    Cheers!

Being honest i’ve brought in C this week just because I need some slight non-template addition; sticking to this principle you may be good to hold

I wish I had the nerve to triple Salah, as I've avoided a WC with a -8, but I guess the smart thing to do is Aguero vs Newcastle if it's going to be a single gw.

Going by history, yeah, Kun vs Newcastle has the potential to be a special

Not completely out of the picture, but Wolves gave us a hard time last time out. Traore is also a BEAST! I'm afraid he may start lol.

Hope so. Stuff like that should be banned unless there is a link to the comment. This is a place to help people with fantasy football choices, don’t need that.

    Aguero or Mane (C) ?

Mane (c), but maybe Wolves won't be able to stop City from scoring twice in a row! I don't think you can lose with either. I'm sure that's what everyone said last week, but idk I think Wolves may be a tough one.

Seriously? You're going to waste time because some idiot has a "Liverpool friend." Some people don't get enough attention at home obviously.
