    WC team:

    Pat/4.5
    Laporte/Trip/Doherty (AWB/TAA)
    Sterling/Hazard/Son/Rich (4.4)
    Kane/Mitro/Jimenez

    1.2 itb

    How's it looking?

No Salah/Mane/Kun, brave. Its different, could work out.

Salah in a couple of weeks. Easy to get Kun back for Kane if needed. Could do Kun/Salah in for Kane/Sterling in GW9.

Nice. Trippier/Son a bit risky imo, but have good upside.

Son is mainly for next 2-3. Ideally looking at Son/Kane to Vardy/Salah GW9, but have other options for getting Salah in down the line.

        1. MTPockets
          7 years, 11 months ago

Wouldn't personally bin Aguero/Salah to squeeze in Kane/Son/Trippier for next 2, whatever the fixtures, but gd luck.

I feel so much of it is based on hope and expectation. Kun is doing very well and Kane is not. I understand your concern over Kuns minutes and wanting to get ahead of the curve but it all seems so temporary for a wild card.

This is what I had initially, but Sterling just seems more exciting and more likely to play 90 this week too. Maddison has 3x tricky fixtures coming up.

I'm liking this, it has the potential to really pay off . Just hope you don't have too many fires to put out around the time of when you want to bring Liverpool assets back in . Other than that it's a bold move

    Thoughts on this WC?

    Current team:

    DDG-Hamer

    Alonso-TAA-Shaw-Cook-AWB

    Salah-Pedro-BSilva-Moura-Odoi

    Aguero-Wilson-Zaha

    WC team:

    Patricio-Hamer

    Alonso-TAA-Shaw-Doherty-AWB

    Sterling-Richarlison-Maddison-BSilva-Hojberg

    Aguero-Kane-Wilson

    Any feedback would be appreciated.

Kane turns into a cheap striker around GW9 so I can get in Salah again.

I do not see this as a problem as far as he is not playing his bench boost. GK is nailed and keeping CS, 0.5 in the bank for other players, no benching headache..

    Patricio
    Alonso Robbo Shaw
    Salah Mane Maddison Pogba
    Kun Ings Mitrovic
    Hamer - AWB - Stephens* - Peltier*
    1.4itb 1 ft

Still have WC. Concerns over Pogba, lack of Spurs etc.
    Best move...
    A. Pogba to Son (or Richarlison).
    B. Mane to Hazard.
    B. Pogba and Peltier to Trippier and Richarlison (-4). Bench Ings.
    C. Salah and Ings to Kane and Richarlison (-4).

Does the captain poll just include the same names every week or is it week specific? Some absolutely bizarre names on there and no sané or Sterling against charitable Brighton?! Mendy on there? Guess it must just be fixed.

    Weird questions here

    Hennesay >>> patricio for -4

My thinking here is that Hennesay won't keep a clean sheet and patricio to keep a clean sheet which is still the same as if I don't take the hit bt I can focus on saving my next transfer rather than save my free transfer this week when I don't see Hennesay keeping a clean sheet anyway

What would you do with this wildcard.. I'm not really into having Shaw, but not sure who else is a better option around that price range.

    Hart
    TAA / Alonso / Shaw
    Hazard / Maddison / Ramsey / Richarlison
    Mitrovic / Kane / Aguero

    Salah, Mane, Walcott, Fraser
    Aguero, King, Zaha

Go for it, mint fixtures.. you might even end up keeping him beyond 2 GWs

I'd leave it for this week, but if you get Vardy in you should give him at least 3-4 weeks with those fixtures.

I can only bring one, and the other next week. But if I go Rich now I can do Aguero>Kane(c) next week. Difficult.

Foursomes in the afternoon look much more competitive for Europe. Rose and Stenson back together, Molinari and Fleetwood have been solid. Disappointing to see McIlroy back out as he was poor - would have preferred Rahm. Unsure on Garcia, but he is up against Mickelson so has a chance.

Agreed. McIlroy struggled off the tee and if he can't get that right in foursomes (ie only one ball) he is a liability.

Yup. But still taking him over Rahm. I would've picked same four to continue.

Rory call was a tough one to make

Obviously poor this morning but a player who is capable of great things

Rory is like Joe Hart IMO. They get too pumped up because they want to do well in competition. Both need to learn how to manage that emotion.

Yeah pretty expected picks from Thomas. We need Rory to be at the top of his game to have any chance this week. 0 birdies in the morning. Rahm played well, yes. But it's a different game when you play foursome and I would rather have Rory and his experience in there. When things go south for Rahm, it doesn't look good.

Important moments for momentum these last holes.

What would you do with this? 1FT

    Begovic, (Fabs)
    Alonso, Robertson, AWB, (Rico), (Mendy)
    Salah, Richarlison, Mane, Fraser, (Schneiderlin)
    Aguero, Ings, Arnie

What are people thinking of Pogxit?

Like a lot of people I’m considering Pogba to Richarlison this week, but Pogba is still posting excellent stats. He’s right up there with the top achievers for XG, and behind only Salah, Aguero and a couple others for expected goal involvement.

Despite the falling out, he still has pens, a lot of set pieces, good in the air (against a West Ham side that concede a lot of aerial chances) and has had as many shots on target as the likes of aguero.

Is shipping Pogba mostly a knee-jerk?

don't have him, but think I'd wait for him to actually not play before getting rid (advice I didn't apply with Moura after GW2)

Most of the xG is from penalties though, which is fine long as Man U keep getting them...

If you don't sell this week though its probly unlikely you sell next week with Newcastle at home. I'd lean towards keeping for now.

Best use of 1FT (assuming Mendy is out, AWB first sub):

    A. Pedro >> Richarlison
    B. Mendy >> Trippier

    Thoughts on possible WC squad

    Patrício Speroni
    Wan-Bissaka Trippier Alonso Bennett Robertson
    Richarlison Højbjerg Fraser Hazard Maddison
    Kane Agüero Mitrovic

Aim would be to get Salah back in from GW 9 onwards
