Marko Arnautovic (£7.0m) has missed out on Gameweek 10 after Manuel Pellegrini revealed that he had been suffering with an illness.

Javier Hernandez (£6.2m) replaces him in the starting line-up as Grady Diangana (£4.5m) also earned his first start of the season.

Arnautovic is not the only mid-price striker causing problem for his owners. Following stories of an illness this week, Jamie Vardy (£9.0m) also misses out on the first XI, but he was named on the substitute’s bench by Claude Puel.

It is a strange occurence considering Vardy’s insistence on social media that he was “back to full strength”.

Fantasy interest in the match is likely to revolve around James Maddison (£7.0m) who is set to start the match.

“(Jamie Vardy) could not train earlier this week. I want a player who is at 100% to start. He will have a good opportunity to come in the second-half and show his energy.” – Claude Puel

LEICESTER XI: Schmeichel; Amartey, Söyüncü, Maguire, Chilwell; Ndidi, Iborra; Ghezzal, Maddison, Albrighton; Iheanacho

WEST HAM XI: Fabianski; Zabaleta, Balbuena, Diop, Masuaku; Rice; Diangana, Noble, Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson; Chicharito

Don't know why defenders turn their backs to a shot. Just cover the jewels and let the ball hit you square instead of deflecting it as you turn

It's a natural reaction, it's a lot more comfortable getting hit in the back than the face or stomach

Those are the worst outside of getting one in the man bits 😯

I only ever let it hit me in the face infront of my own goal otherwise I duck and only in competitive games

True. I've took a couple of hits down there too. I used to play centre back (stopped playing after a hyper extended knee) and the striker shot straight at my balls. Painful.

Just in from a long day.

    -Fraser haul, thanks lad.
-Salah - finally. Mane owners get the same points for cheaper though this week, hmm.
-Robertson benching sucks. At least we didn’t get a cameo though, and that’s his rest up now! Plus, didn’t miss out on a CS
-Mitro out. Been crap since I got him weeks ago. Hope arnie is better by next week so I can get him

Leicester look terrible. They are missing a player like Drinkwater to free up Maddison higher up the pitch. Vardy and Iheanacho don't look like a good partnership.

They also cross the ball to players like Okazaki, Gray and Albrighton who aren't exactly known for their heading ability.

Maddison doesnt need to be higher up the pitch. He does a great job in his position. Doesnt look like a very good FPL prospect though. Leicester's problem is Albrighton, Gray, Okazaki, Ghezzal, Iheanacho arent creative enough, so their play becomes very predictable. Gray did ok, but other than that it was all crosses and very easy to defend for West Ham.

      1. diesel001
        • 9 Years
        7 years, 5 months ago

Maddison is the only player who can move the ball quickly enough to open teams up. But he also seems to be the only player who can make incisive passes from deep. So you either play him deep and find a creative player higher up the pitch or you put him up the pitch and find a passer from deep. Drinkwater would be ideal for that role IMO.

He'll now be right back and that Leicester team is so crappy, they'll concede against anyone or keep a clean against anyone. You probably will have to play him every match to get points and that also means some blanks.

Leicester were very predictable. It was just a million brain dead crosses in a row from Albrighton. WHU defended well too, especially with their offside line.
