Lucas Perez starts up front for West Ham as Hernandez misses out

The final match of Gameweek 19 takes place this evening as Southampton take on injury-hit West Ham United. Kick-off at St. Mary’s Stadium is at 19:45 GMT.

Already without the services of Marko Arnautovic (£6.9m), the visitors are also missing Javier Hernandez (£6.4m) through injury – so Lucas Perez (£6.2m) makes only his second league start of the season for the Hammers.

Manuel Pellegrini has made five changes in all to his West Ham starting XI, with Michail Antonio (£6.8m) shifted to right-back in place of the absent Pablo Zabaleta (£4.3m), and Grady Diangana (£4.5m) getting a recall on the wing.

Felipe Anderson (£7.3m) and Robert Snodgrass (£5.4m) retain their places.

Pellegrini has only been able to name six substitutes tonight, including youngsters Xande Silva and Conor Coventry (both £4.5m).

Lukasz Fabianski (£4.7m) is  the most-owned FPL player on show this evening.

The Saints are not quite so injury-ravaged and Ralph Hasenhuttl has made only one alteration to his side from the team that beat Huddersfield Town in Gameweek 18: the suspended Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£4.4m) being replaced by Mario Lemina (£4.8m).

Danny Ings (£5.6m) has been transferred in by more FPL managers than any other budget asset in each of the last two Gameweeks: just over 350,000 Fantasy bosses have brought the Southampton striker in during this time.

By contrast, Felipe Anderson was the fourth-most-sold Fantasy player of Gameweek 19: over 165,000 managers shipped out the Brazilian midfielder, despite him recording an attacking return in five of his last eight starts.

Southampton XI (3-4-3): McCarthy; Bednarek, Vestergaard, Yoshida; Valery, Lemina, Romeu, Targett; Armstrong, Ings, Redmond.

West Ham United XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Antonio, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Obiang; Snodgrass, Diangana, Anderson; Perez.

Hows the WC looking? Bit light in defense but Zanka next 3 fixtures are nice. Thoughts?

    Fab - (Speroni)
    TAA - Digne - Zanka - (AWB - Bennett)
    Son - Pogba - Salah - Haz - Anderson
    Kane - Jimenez - (Kamara)

    Which move is the best?

    A) Ederson -> Fabianski
    B) Ederson + Sterling -> Fab + Hazard
    C) Ederson + Sane -> Fab + Pogba
    D) Other

    Ederson
    Robbo, Alonso, Digne, Doherty, AWB
    Sterling, Sane, Anderson, Richarlson, 4.5
    Kane, Jimenez, Rashford
    2FT 0itb

I foolishly benched Digne and AWB but luckily Felipe Anderson turned my GW from disastrous to just bad.

Difficult to say, depends on your strategy.

Slightly different answer but I can’t see myself selling the following at the moment:

        Fab
        Robertson, Wan B, Doherty, Digne
        Hazard, Salah,
        Auba

        I also have:

        Alonso
        FAnderson, Richarlison, Pereyra
        Ings, Success.

Alonso could make way for someone like Shaw or Pereira, or even Holebas which frees up cash to upgrade maybe Pereyra to Pogba. Or might be better to upgrade Ings on today’s showing,

If I was wildcardkng I’d probably have Kamara back in for Success as seems to be playing.

Agree with the defense and midfield. Feel Kane has to be there with the amount of goals Spurs are scoring. Downgrading Alonso will help significantly.

            • 14 Years
            5 years, 4 months ago

I agree with this. If I was wildcarding I’d probably drop Alonso. Having said that, I really like Aibameyang as a fantasy football asset. Don’t feel he or Arsenal have hit top form yet and still scoring heavily, so might try and cram him in somehow also!

Kane scares the life out of me every week as things stand, as did City for a while! Seems strange not having any Tottemham or City players but with so many options elsewhere been trying to go for balance and flexibility, which means lots of mid priced assets that you can rotate or sell in or out easily.

Who would you play out if the following:

      Ings (Man city home)
      Success (Newcastle home)
      Doherty (Spurs away)
      Wan B (Chelsea home)

Currently playing Ings but I doubt he will do much. Is it worth playing Success on the off chance he starts? Not been convinced.

Glad someone's with me. Going for Sterling, Sané and Hazard myself.

Form and fixtures suggest a switch to Hazard, but I really don't know. I've never felt so let down by a player. He was so good for me last season yet the 5 game weeks i've owned him this season he's been useless.

Give me an arbitrary and pointless total point prediction for each group this week:

      a) Lacazette, Snodgrass & Sterling = ???
      b) Vardy, Pogba & Alli = ???

      1. Eytexi
        • 5 Years

        A) 1+7+8=16
        B) 13+2+0=15

In that case, 5 for Alli, meaning B wins 20-16.

I do have to laugh a little how Anderson has become a Wildcard 'must-have' after this game.

Literally only last week he was being sold by the masses for Pogba/Martial/Lingard.

(Note: I have sold him too.)

I’m more laughing at the people who sold a fantastic FPL asset who has performed all season for some unproven punts

Especially those who’ve sold him for GW20 before he even played his match in GW19.

Why are you salty? I never said he was not a good pick.

I'm just laughing how he has become essential after loads of people (myself included) have sold him.

Not salty. I own him. I’m pretty sure you would still if you had waited to make your transfers and had the option. As Wildcarders now do.

              You contradict yourself here, massively.

Pogba has like two good GWs under a new manager and apparently he's proven this season?

Martial has looked alright but far from consistent and hardly nailed on in the midfield.

They are proven when they get game time tbf. Minutes was always the problem for Martial. Cant see Ole managing Martial in the fickle and petty way Mourinho did. He is pure quality, one of the top assets in terms of points per minutes, just never given consistent chance with Mour.

Pogba has pulled in good scores (when he gets consistent game time) across a few seasons now; Martial has done the same this season.

They're certainly proven enough and I don't think I ever denied Anderson hadn't proven himself either.

I can pull up like 65 comment sof me saying dont sell Anderson to people. Why would you do that? His fixtures are still great, people disregarded their plans for him in a panic to get highly rotated Man U assets in.

Yeah.. 11 goal involvements in 19 games for ~£7m is awful isn't it.

Clearly it was just this week that did it, and not the fact he's scored 7 in the last 9 GWs as well as grabbing two assists.

He would be less appealing if he was more expensive or played in a better team and might succumb to rotation, but as it is, who else offers such good value for money?

            Fail to see your point.
