The recent injury to Harry Kane (£12.6m) looks set to shape the Gameweek 23 captaincy debate as Fantasy managers either avoid or sell the premium forward.

You can now vote in the poll below or on the sidebar, while our latest captain video is now available on our YouTube channel.

Spurs’ trip to Fulham this weekend had caught the eye of Kane owners but with reports in the media claiming he could be out for up to a month, it no longer carries quite the same appeal.

Christian Eriksen (£9.3m) and Dele Alli (£8.9m) will become the likeliest source of goals in his absence, especially with Son Heung-min (£8.7m) now away at the Asian Cup with South Korea.

Neither of those options look as if they can compete with Mohamed Salah (£13.4m), who now has five double-figure hauls in his last seven matches.

Liverpool host a Crystal Palace side that often keeps things tight at the back, but the Egyptian’s 45% ownership will be confident he can breakthrough, just as he did Brighton’s mean defence in Gameweek 22.

Roberto Firmino (£9.2m) may be considered as an alternative within Salah’s team-mates, although Sadio Mané (£9.5m) will have to go up against the impressive Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.5m).

Manchester United options will certainly be looked at this week, with Paul Pogba (£8.5m) and Marcus Rashford (£7.4m) the key men.

The two of them have racked up 13 goal involvements between them since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over and are both in the sort of form that warrants consideration for the armband.

In their way is that Brighton defence that made life so tough for Liverpool at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, although they are without a clean sheet away from home since Gameweek 9.

Manchester City’s visit to now-managerless Huddersfield Town will also get plenty of attention, as goals look probable at the John Smith’s Stadium. However, pinpointing which players will start should prove difficult.

Gabriel Jesus (£10.1m) is in the sort of form that makes it hard to drop him for Sergio Aguero (£11.2m), while Riyad Mahrez (£8.3m) could come in for Raheem Sterling (£11.3m).

Elsewhere, the meeting between Arsenal and Chelsea may put Fantasy managers off options such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.3m) or Eden Hazard (£11.1m).

However, the Chelsea man scored on his last league visit to the Emirates Stadium and has proved a little more reliable away from home this season anyway. Hazard averages a goal involvement every 85.9 minutes at Stamford Bridge in 2018/19, but every 80.7 away on the road.

    How about this for -8?

    Alonso to Shaw
    Fraser to Salah
    Martial to Pogba
    Kane to Ings

Nah id just do 2 of those for free. Not keen on Ins either seems a waste of a spot even with cost savings. Hes too injury prone and gets subbed early to look after him

Ings will get injured again for sure. When is he fit more than 2 weeks running?! If he wasn’t walking wounded would be best British striker. See Michael Owen 23 onwards for inspiration

The goodness of Richarlison’s fixtures is overstated. Next 5:

      Sou (away) improving under Hasselhoffl

Hud (away) could have a new manager bounce

Wolves (home) are wolves and certainly won’t be pumped.

Watford (away) are a decent side.

Man City (home) Not a good match for attackers.

    Fabianski - Button

    Robertson - TAA - Digne - Doherty - AWB

    Salah - Hazard - Richarlison - Deleufeu - Gunnarson

    Kane - Wilson - Rashford

    1FT, 0.7M ITB

Worth doing Kane & Delefeu > Jimenez & Sane for a -4 or just do Kane > Jimenez?

You keeping Wilson. i reckon he doesn't play, I think there's more that meets the eye than the injury they say he has. he wants out of Bournmouth and is hoping Chelsea and Spurs come in for him.

    Digne | Luiz | Trippier | Pereira* | TAA*
    Pogba | Salah | Hazard | Richo | Camarasa*
    Kane* | Jimenez | Kamara*

Will lose value on Kane's fall tonight so it's time to act. Only trouble is I want Pogba and Sané and I can't get both with my FT's! Son + Kane --> Pogba + Jesus / Firmino?

    Fabianski
    Robertson - Doherty - Digne
    Salah - Hazard - Richarlison - Son - Camarasa
    Kane - Rashford

    Button - AWB - Kamara - Bednarek [2FT + 0.8m ITB]

  11. Tosa86

    Fabianski
    VVD - Digne - Doherty
    Pogba (C) - Hazard - Salah (vC) - Richarlison
    Aubameyang - Rashford - Jimenez

Hennessey - Pereira - WanBissaka Billing

    FT: 2
    ItB: 0.1

    Is it time to replace:
    1) Auba-> Kun?
    2) Change my goalkeepers? maybe hennessey to speroni (to save money for other upgrade) or one goalkeeper to alternate with fab.
    3) wait and lose 1 FT.

    Who as captain?salah or pogba?

    any suggestion?

If you can cover both Kane & TAA with your existing squad should you bench them or sell due to thier falling price which is likely to be pretty quick?

Like many will do I will change Kane to Rashford. But what should I do with my second free transfer? - I can have every midtfielder in by changing Richarlison but not sure I want to change my midtfielders....

    a. get a Man City midtfielder for Richarlison
    b. save the second transfer
    c. forget about Rashford, get Auba in instead (and save the second transfer)

    Foster
    Robertson, Digne, Doherty
    Pogba, Richarlison, Salah, Hazard, Anderson

Don't know how much value you'd lose from him though. He won't drop too low as he is a starting Liverpool asset and as soon as he returns there'll be in an influx of people transferring him in

I have the same 5 defenders. I’m keeping TAA this week as have Kane and Son to deal with. Which 3 will you play? Not sure about Digne v Bednarek but not best week for AWB.

I will be massively tempted to bring in Eriksen or Alli for a 4 point hit this week. It means i won't have to play AWB against Pool so could be easily returned this week alone. Who do we think is the best option? Alli probably bigger goal threat but Eriksen will be involved massively including pens?

      I went for Eriksen...but I also really don't like Alli as a player 🙂
Think both are good fantasy options now

I prefer Alli to Eriksen too but with lots of spare cash, I'm not sure buying in the Spurs attack, w/o Kane & Son, is worth near 9m when Sane, Firmino & Mane are all around that price.

Alli the best attacking Spurs asset, but there's better in his price range.

    Kane > Rashford
    Kante > Moura
    Paterson > D Silva (-4)

    Yes? No?

    Anything here worth a hit?
    1) Pereyra > Sané
    2) Anderson > Sterling
    3) Kamara > Mitro/Arnie/Wilson
    4) Bednarek > Digne

Current: Fab, Button /// Robbo, Luiz, Doherty, AWB, Bednarek ///
Salah, Hazard, Anderson, Pereyra, Pogba /// Rashford, Jiménez, Kamara
