James Maddison (£6.6m) has come through his injury doubts to start for Leicester against Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The central midfielder was yellow-flagged before the game following comments from Claude Puel in his Thursday press conference.

Maddison starts in the number 10 role for the Foxes as their run of appealing fixtures gets underway this weekend.

Ben Chilwell (£5.0m) was not as fortunate as he missed out on a place in the matchday squad through his knock.

Christian Fuchs (£4.1m) makes just his second start of the season at left-back.

The wide attacking midfield slots are occupied by Harvey Barnes (£5.5m) and Rachid Ghezzal (£5.0m) while a recall for Jamie Vardy (£8.8m) sees Demarai Gray (£5.4m) drop to the bench.

As expected, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.6m) sits out for Crystal Palace, covered at right-back by Joel Ward (£4.3m).

Further up the field for the Eagles, there is a first start for Michy Batshuayi (£6.5m).

Leicester XI: Schmeichel; Fuchs, Maguire, Evans, R Pereira; Tilemans, Ndidi; Barnes, Maddison, Ghezzal; Vardy.

Crystal Palace XI: Guaita; van Aanholt, Sakho, Tomkins, Ward; Schlupp, McArthur, Milivojevic; Zaha, Batshuayi, Townsend.

Would you do Jimenez to Rondon if it allows Auba to Aguero next week? This is possibly my only way to get Aguero as I have nothing itb

Or do both moves next week, doesn't make sense to lose Jimenez with that form and fixtures..

Or maybe what I can do is keep Auba for Spurs game and then get Aguero after that?

Morning all, I need to decide chip strategy this week - which would you go for with my squad?

    A) use FT to prepare for 31, FH32, WC34, BB35, TC36
+ My team is well set up for this as I can get 10 out in 31 for no hits
+ Latest info for DGW32 given I'll be FHing just before
    - Means very few MCY/TOT/MUN for 28-30
    - Means playing TC/BB in a non DGW
    - Only 5 weeks to benefit from WC

    B) WC29, FH31, BB32, TC35.
+ 10 weeks to benefit from the WC
+ Can load up on MCY, CHE, MUN, TOT in 29 as their fixtures improve and in prep for the DGWs
+ BB and TC can both be played in DGWs
    - Unknown for certain which games will be in each DGW, so some guess work required and risk of injuries in 29-31.
    - Risk of fielding 11 in GW33 if lots of blanks

    Fabs, Steele
    Kola, Doherty, Pereira, TAA, Holebas
    Salah, Son, Siggy, FAnderson, Camarasa
    Auba, Rashford, Ings
    Bank 2.5m, 1FT

Is it right that if results go to plan in the FA Cup QFs, we'll likely have the following 4 blanks in GW33:

    MUN vs WOL
    MCY vs CAR
    BHA vs TOT
    WAT vs FUL

Given I'd likely want 7-9 players from MCY/MUN/TOT for the DGW in GW32, this causes a big problem for GW33

(reverts back to the 32FH, 34WC strategy)

No City for the next few is going to be miserable, but having the latest info for 32 and getting 11 out in 33 should hopefully make up for it.

Am thinking a WHU *defender* after this GW. Who best? Diop? Or is Cresswell nailed again these days?? My second GK is Dubrovnik and he has game in GW31, so obviously makes little sense to do him to Fab.

Rice and Diop, their two highest-scoring defenders, are 45th and 49th, respectively, among defenders overall.

Panic AWB replacement as thought good chance no Snodgrass and Kosc not playing meant I had 9. Diop gave me funds for potential 5.5m mid like Barnes next week and went with Rice instead *sigh*

Best move here with a 32FH, 34WC plan? Stripping out GW32 (as FHing) gives the RMT projections for 28-33 as:

    A) Son -> Mane (29.02)
    B) Son -> Hazard (34.11)
    C) Son -> Sterling (28.37)

    Fabs
    TAA, Kola, Pereira, Doherty
    Salah, Siggy, Son
    Auba, Rashford, Ings

    Steele, FAnderson, Camarasa, Holebas

    Man City Fixture List:

    - 24 Feb: che (Cup Final)
    - 27 Feb: WHU (PL)
    - 2 Mar: bou (PL)
    - 9 Mar: WAT (PL)
    - 12 Mar: SCH (CL)
    - 16 Mar: swa (FA)

That's 6 games in 21 days - how much rotation do you think there will be for the likes of Sterling & Aguero over that stretch? CL and PL are obviously the priorities, but I can see them both starting in the cup final today, so I think there's a good chance they will miss 1 of the league games (probably WAT).

They won't both miss the same game and Watford are probably the best team outside the top 6.

They have a week before Watford and then can rotate against Shalke and Swansea. A rest is possible for one or both against West Ham or Bournemouth.

Which 1 to get out of Mane, Hazard & Sterling is a tricky call this week.

    A) Mane (WAT, eve, BUR, ful, sot)
    B) Hazard (TOT, ful, WOL, eve, WHU)
    C) Sterling (WHU, bou, WAT, blank, likely blank)

2 less games and a higher risk of rotation rules Sterling out, right?

True, but that's an extra FT (or 4 points) and I think the WHU game is the one PL game some City players may get a rest.

Not sure about that - Fulham are woeful defensively and Spurs will be deflated after losing to BUR.

Admittedly, CHE are also in a bad place, but the 5-0 against HUD 2 weeks ago shows they can still do a job against the lesser teams.

11 guys from FFS would beat Huddersfield. The results since tell the story.

Yep, but same goes with FUL - last 7 games they have lost 6 and conceded 18

The other benefit of going Hazard over Sterling is it leaves just enough cash for Auba -> Aguero in 29 if I do feel like MCY attacking cover is essential

Aguero away at B'mouth isn't as enticing.

33 (this assumes they beat SWA in the FA Cup). I've left out 32 as I'll be FHing that week.

I knew that we'd concede against Palace but Puel's results are now becoming beyond a joke. Dreadful performance.

Absolutely same with me. I'd been humming and hawing between him and Schär for ages .... we all know how that went.
You're right though - not much to do except keep and hope..
