There is no evening Premier League game today so the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion takes centre stage.

Kick-off is at 17:30 BST.

This is an audition of sorts for the Fantasy assets on show as their clubs enjoy two fixtures in Gameweek 35, while the Seagulls also have a Double Gameweek 34 before that.

Despite being described as “nearly fit” by his manager on Friday, Sergio Aguero isn’t part of City’s match-day squad at Wembley.

Gabriel Jesus leads the line again, with Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva flanking the Brazilian.

With Oleksandr Zinchenko injured, Benjamin Mendy makes his first start since November.

Glenn Murray is back in Brighton’s starting XI after a benching in midweek, while Anthony Knockaert returns to the right wing.

Full-backs Martin Montoya and Bernardo also return, while Solly March misses out through injury.

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Mendy, Laporte, Otamendi, Walker, Gundogan, Bernardo, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus.

Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bernardo, Stephens, Propper, Bissouma, Knockaert, Murray, Jahanbakhsh.

Could have Camarasa instead of Deulofeu then transfer Deulofeu in for him for GW35. Using a transfer though which id like to avoid post wildcard!

A little different to some I've seen here so I'm no expecting very positive feedback, but thoughts on this team for WC?

    Gunn/Ryan
    Duffy, dunk, Doherty, vertonghen, bednerak
    Son, sterling, Deulofeu, jwp, mane
    Aguero, Kane, jimi

I currently have Aguero and Kane, double Brighton and Foster instead of Gunn who would've been my next choice, it looks good.

          1. JohnnyMagrinho
            7 years, 3 months ago

So you meant there's some similarities to your team, then. Not exactly everyone elses.

    2. JohnnyMagrinho

      - I'd rather go for a Watford defender along with one of Duffy/Dunk.
      - Not a massive fan of Doherty anymore. Robbo or Trent? Laporte?
      - Ryan is never a bad pick anyway.
      - Would prefer Eriksen over Son.
      - You dead set on Vertonghen?

      1. Garlana

        7 years, 3 months ago

        Thanks for your comments.
        Noted on Watford defence.
Doherty I've kept so value tied up.
I'd like to keep robbo so maybe keep over vert.
Eriksen I would prefer but funds with my frontline won't stretch easily.
And no not set in vert 🙂

I see the logic behind Camarasa to JWP but is it worth a FT?

      1. ã…¤Rising
        • 8 Years
        7 years, 3 months ago

I will have JWP for 35 anyway, wouldnt want to BB with Camarasa, he is just there because of their DG34

        1. fr3d
          • 8 Years
          7 years, 3 months ago

What I'm saying is why not just have JWP in 34 and save the FT?

            • 8 Years
            7 years, 3 months ago

Oh sorry, I like the look of having another DG player, if he can score some points I might even go to minus on getting Duffy out for someone with a better DG35

Alright, I feel you. I've considered this strategy as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if JWP outscores Camarasa in 34. Anyways you got a strong team there.

    2. JohnnyMagrinho

Gomez is back now so TAA place not a guarantee.

Robbo basically has zero competition at LB so if you want a regular defender for Pool with a ceiling of more than 6 points a game then go for Robbo.

If you need to save the money then Alisson is always an option but I think that's wasted money.

Slowly starting to like this BB team.

    Foster - Gunn
    Trippier - Kolasinac - Bertrand - Valery - Bennett
    Sterling - Mane - Son - Jota - Deulofeu
    Kane - Lacazette - Deeney

Can swap Bertrand + Foster âž¡ Leno + Cathcart. Will have 2 Brighton players on WC in 33.

Only issue is no Jimenez. Worth it?

    Thoughts please? 🙂

    Hey Guys,

Not seen the sorts of teams people are putting out...

What do people think of this for next week, with an aim to then sell Camarasa for the following one?
What obvious errors am I making and obvious players I'm missing?

    Foster / Ryan
    Duffy / Holebas / Doherty / Kolasinac / Trippier
    Camorasa / JWP / Sterling / Jota / Son
    Aguero / Laca / Kane

    Thanks! 🙂

It comes 5 days after the second leg v Porto so I can’t see any rotation.

13 DGW and two Liverpool is the way I’m going to go I think. Thoughts on my first draft?

          Ryan Leno
          Kolasinac Trippier Duffy Doherty TAA
          Martial Mane Sterling Son Camarasa
          Kane Lacazette Jimenez

            Thanks.

That looks amazing. I'm not sure I want Leno as good as Arsenal are capable of being they aren't strong defenders against anyone IMO. No Aguero there, who I'd ideally want, but Lacazette probably more key with their fixtures and lack of rotation risk (compared to Kun at least). I like it. If go with Liverpool assets mine will be incredibly close to that, but not keen on Leno.

Anybody going for Mendy on WC? Bench boosters will have at least 1 or 2 good options left on the bench from now until the end of the season and full backs don't tend to make cameos so whenever he doesn't play we should have somebody decent coming in to replace him. What do you think?

I really don't think Murray is going to start 4 games in 10 days at his age.

Maybe. Was going for Camarasa but that guarantees a transfer. Knockaert can be put in with a view to take him out but he can be kept if other problems/opportunities arise.

Welp, a good enough Saturday likely means I am going to heavily regret finally settling on Hazard out of the two of him and Vardy as captain tomorrow.

57 points this with 3 to play. Need a run of differentials to pay off if you call Vardy captain and tielemens as a differential.
