It is a short but important week coming up for Fantasy Premier League managers.

There are some big decisions to be made ahead of Gameweek 3 as some prepare to spend their two free transfers, others consider the Wildcard and that’s before we even get on to the captaincy.

So we’ve put together another panel of fine FPL minds to help you with any dilemmas.

Who’s on the panel this week?

    Hello all, this is my first season ever in FPL and what i have done so far might be rly dumb, plz give some advices going forward.

    So this was my starting squad W1
    Ryan
    AA,VVD,Digne,Zinchenko
    Salah,Sterling,Sigurdsson,Bilva
    Jota,King
    Subs:Button,Dendoncker,Lundstrom,Wickham

    So i got 88p in GW1 wich is okej i think, but i hade a big concern about Bilvas rotation,but i did not make any changes for GW2 and was going to be patient and save my tranfers.

    Next GW i get only 42 points and i just thought i had to take out Bilva because off the rotation and blanks, also had abit concerns about sigurdsson not performing even if he had great fixtures, ofc he was abit unlucky but i rlt wanted KDB in now so i had to Sacrifice to make up founds, so i did 2 early transfers with Bilva/Sigurdsson out and i brought in KDB/Ndombele and had 0.3 in bank..
    But after i see Man U match i rly thought i needed Martial in my team so i did 2 more transfers for -8 points, AA/Ndombele out and Martial/Coleman in and 0.3in bank.

    Going into GW3 it looks like this!

    So my thoughts now after this -8 is was it even worth to do it or i made misstake here, i got some pricerices on KDB,Lundstrom and proberbly Martial,sterling soon aswell in all this mess. Maybe i was to quick or is it okej to do a -8 for this, maybe i should have use my WC?, but if i do now i go back to a TV off 99.9 (transfered Bilva to late) instead off my 100.2 i got now and some more pricerice to come..

    Sorry for all this text but im new like i say and i rly need some advices going forward

      -8 is fine, but you shouldn't take hits often. Having WC in your back pocket is always helpful.

      I’d say you need to chill a bit and not do too many transfers too early. The players you had won’t become bad overnight..
      Week 1 was a great score.. a lower score week 2 was similar a lot of others and same as me but I’m not panicking yet. Good luck !

        Yeah i think i rushed the 2 first transfers and this brought me to a -8 :/.

      Given the hits you've taken I would probably wc now and just sort the rest of your team.

      As you suggest, not ideal to have changed your mind on ndombele.

      I would love to give you a few advices.

      1. Never make panic transfers. Let the GW get over and then decide whom do you want in and whom do you want out. Don't rush things.

      2. Avoid taking hits as much you can.

      3. You never transfer in a player and then transfer him out in the same GW and that too for a hit. That's insane. Never do that again!

      4. No need to use your WC now. You have a good team and decent points. Don't worry! Go into this GW with a -8! Don't hit the WC button! You have a good team, you're good to go! Good luck!

        Yeah the Ndombele move wasent the smartest, but as i did 2 early transfers i needed 1 midfielder to go so he had to go again to make room for Martial, but yeah i agree it looks funny/stupid!.

        Thank you for the advices and i will try not rush things next GW and check everything before i make my moves.
        I think off the TV to much and this is why i transfered 2 before Man U game to get Bruyne pricerice, but next time i will be patient about it

      Well yes the Ndombele in and out seems abit stupid but i made 2 transfers very early before Man U game, and after this i just reckon i need to get Martial in with the upcoming fixtures off him, to not have him going forward might hurt even more i thought, and to get Martial i needed to trade out a midfielder and then Ndombele had to go again!.

    Ship out Robbo or VVD?
    Robertson has had the most final third touches of any defender in the last 2 GWs. Does it justify the extra .5 or is VVD's goal threat good enough?

    Reasons for wanting to change is Perez and Vardy price falls. Pukki and KDB price rises plus KDB bound to haul again this weekend.

    Tried to fit Kane in but KDB at 9.6m, you just cannot go wrong.

    Would a -8 hit be knee-jerk with Vardy and Perez out KDB and Pukki in? Will also have 0.2 in the bank.

      Really close. Could also add Shaw.

      Awb will get baps but doesn’t get forward much even though he’s a outside back. Stays back for corners and normally stays back during attacks.

      Maguire will get some goals and assists from set pieces. He’s also decent for baps. For set pieces so far they’ve been hitting it to him to head back into the middle and then they try to win the second ball.

      Shaw hasn’t been talked about much but he is very attacking and on some some corners. He gets forward a lot, for instance watch martial goal vs wolves. If martial wasn’t there he would have been the one with the chance. He isn’t as good as the others with baps, however

    Thoughts on son?

    Was planning on going him over Kane but am now having second thoughts. I know fitness shouldn’t be a problem as he wasn’t injured but he might not be match sharp. Also since they have so many other attacking options it’s likely that he’ll be subbed early

          That's fair. But I imagine he'll have been champing at the bit waiting for his season to start and will be really hungry. I guess that could go the other way and he'll be over zealous but I reckon he's a good shout for top scorer this week. I also think he's very underpriced for what he can offer.

            Cheers! He does seem a little underpriced. His ppm is really good for his price. Similar to mane 2 years ago. Him and martial were two players I identified at the start of the season as players who could have breakout seasons if they play a little bit more.

            Just worried that he might not be at his best yet. Think Kane is a better pick right now but that son offers better value. Want to captain one of them as Newcastle seems to be woeful but sterling might outscored either of them anyway.

        I'd be 0.2 short...Perez and Wesley are the main ones I'm unhappy with. Liverpool can't seem to keep a clean sheet these days (VVD) and not sure how much longer Zinch will be starting.
