Fantasy Premier League managers have plenty of big decisions to make ahead of Gameweek 4.

It’s the last round of fixtures before the first international break of the campaign so it will be important to go into the week off in a good position.

To help you do that, we’ve put together another panel of Fantasy managers to help you with any dilemmas you may have.

Who’s on the panel this week?

FPL General – Contributor to the Scout site who has three finishes inside the top 400 in the last five seasons and who has a huge following on Twitter. General – aka Mark – also appears regularly on the official FPL Show.

Ben Crabtree – A former FPL winner, who claimed the title in 2016/17 without using a single Liverpool player.

Ted/Rotation – Moderator and the site’s recently appointed Assistant Community Manager. Ted finished 633rd in the world last season.

Bowstring the Carp – Two top 1k finishes (126 and 754) and one of our best community article writers. Recently wrote some excellent pieces on Pep Guardiola and his tactics.

    1. Differential C (Mark)

      Pukki essential
      Cantwell . . on a WC, yes.

Thats that question i asked in question time. Plus on the scoutcast. Is double norwich to much?

    3. VanDijksToWatchOutFor
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 11 months ago

No downside to having Pukki or Cantwell really. Pukki could definitely hurt you, but high ownership players who misfire (not that we have indication this would happen) are an opportunity to rise for people who go elsewhere.

My one reluctance with Cantwell is not wanting double Norwich in my eleven, or even in a rotation. Pukki can play any game, Cantwell I'd probably bench too often. But on wc definitely worth it. Will keep rising if nothing else.

    4. Klaren

      Pukki, yes.
Cantwell is definitely not essential but if you have a 4.5 or even 5.0 midfielder slot, he is definitely the best option.

    FPL Question Time:

    1. How much is FPL just the ‘Law of Large Numbers’ and ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’ with a small individual risk factor in order to gain an edge? If yes, then can it be boiled down to a one player squad, whereby all common picks are removed and we are left with a team of Lamela?

Rubbish... If you asked every member here for their team, a community which forms ‘the template’ then there would be very few duplicates. The possible number of combinations are immense even with a limited pool of players.

The core of each team would be similar but not the same. At this point I would guess that the majority of teams only have Salah or Sterling but only a few have both. Pukki at this point would be the only exception.

Sean Dyche confirms that Johann Berg Gudmundsson is set for a scan after suffering a calf injury at the weekend. The injury is not thought to be serious but the player won't be involved in the EFL Cup tie against Sunderland tomorrow.

    [@FFScout]

Anyone interested in Gudmundsson after the Pool game? Has a decent run of fixtures, on set pieces too. 1.5%, a great differential. Only 6.0% too. Face on Chelsea from among the top six between Pool game and the end of November.

Something fishy going on at Spurs

    - Haven't won an away PL game since Jan

Very sad day for football. We at Southampton were in a similar situation a few years back, until a knight in a shining armor by the name of Markus Liebherr came and saved us, God bless his soul. No club should go through what Bury has gone through. Devastating.

Its very saddening really. Liquidation, what a terrible prospect. No football fan should want to see another club go through that. As a Southampton fan, I'm full scum, but no way would I wish Pompey to get liquidated.

He's a right chancer by all accounts the fella from Bury but it's nigh on impossible for the FA's fit and proper persons check to catch them before they take over a club. Gateshead were another team who were basically asset stripped and then demoted, surprised that they still managed to start this season.

Have Pukki but can't get Barnes in without taking hits

            TAA, VVD, KWP, Zinc, Digne
            Salah Sterling captain combo
            Rashford, Pukki, Deeney

Same. Is it worth taking hits for Burnley players? I wouldn't mind Pieters, McNeil or Barnes but maybe it can wait a week.

Ok fellas, what to do with Rashford? Bought him on for the Palace game and failed spectacularly. Thinking might as well keep for Soton, but worried about his value dropping

    Couple of quick questions

    1) Keep or get rid of Perez? value will likely drop this gw but Leicester have a very good fixture

    2) Keep or get rid of King? similar to perez, his value might drop but bournemouth have 4 decent fixtures

    3A) Vvd + Wickham >> Lundy + Pukki or
    - effectively improves bench with lundy better option than wickham and 0.4m cheaper
    - potentially allows me to then switch perez/kane >> salah/xxx in gw5

    3B) King + Perez >> Mcginn + Pukki
    - removes 2 players who are dropping in value and will drop further if they don't perform on saturday
    - Unsure about mcginn as an option...not really confident about any mids < 6m
    - Makes it very difficult to get Salah in 2 moves as i can't afford mcginn/kane >> salah/xxx in gw5

        I.e

        GW2 18/19
Jamie reports Kun is out of the match, and he scores a hatty.

        GW4 19/20
Jamie reports Martial is out of the match . . .

        You get the pattern.

Emerson a good shout to replace Shaw? Thought I was being smart getting him in last week as a differential to AWB and Maguire.

If not, any other 5.5m or below suggestions?

Emerson looked very good, no way Alonso gets ahead of him imo. Solid option, but Im still not sold on Chelsea defensive prowess.
