This week is pivotal for Fantasy managers as they look to navigate their way through a tricky set of fixtures as the season nears its conclusion.

The midweek announcement of a Double Gameweek 29 for Manchester City and Arsenal is among the key developments that our Scoutcast trio of Joe, Pranil (Lateriser12) and Az discuss in this busy episode of the Scoutcast.

They are also keeping a close eye on how Blank Gameweek 31 is shaping up, with this latest episode broadcast on Tuesday during Liverpool’s defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup .

The deployment of chips will clearly be crucial in the Gameweeks ahead, so our trio look to cover as many permutations as they can.

Meanwhile, there are plenty of other topics to consider, including the ‘form versus fixtures’ debate that Southampton and Everton’s strikers are creating.

Teams and players who are highly motivated also come under scrutiny, with relegation and European places still up for grabs. In contrast, those already dreaming of their holidays are also debated in their chat.

The ‘Rough with the Smooth’ round-up of your Gameweek 28 scores focuses on how Leicester’s wavering form has been a hindrance for some and a blessing to others.

Az takes his turn to pick a differential, with a former favourite firmly in his sights.

Clean sheets get an airing and the Scoutcast crew round up proceedings with a look at their transfer and captaincy plans for Gameweek 29.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel to get notified of future live episodes.

In addition, the Scoutcast and all our other podcasts are now also available via our Soundcloud channel.

If you owned KDB and Auba and have 1 FT, but nothing ITB would it be worth doing Martial > Bilva before then looking at Bilva > Bruno?

    Or is KDB/Auba enough?

You really found racism in my post above? You sure you're not a racist?

The OP said they don't 'deserve' to go down. Clearly implying they have enough quality in the team to stay up. The reason why they're getting relegated is because of the manager. He deserves sacking, the fans and players 'deserve' to stay up. Hope this helps.

not the manager. They spent 2 million in the summer. He's doing good with what he has. All I'm saying is that they play far better stuff than the likes of newcastle. And who's to say they will get relegated. They have a nice run in

        Never was going to be.

Even if Liverpool didn’t make it, it would have been a massive waste for 3 games, when you’d already have Wolves players.

Depends on your current team I guess. I've got 3 Liverpool, 3 Wolves, Pope, Rico and DCL (if Spurs win) so I'm pretty set already

            I’ll have 3 Pool,Jimenez and maybe DCL.

            • 8 Years
            6 years, 3 months ago

Yes of course, in your case it doesn’t make sense to FH in 31. All depends on current team; there are different strategies and I don’t think any of them are right or wrong.

I still can't decide the better argument. Whether it's better to free hit or not. Surely if you're struggling to field anywhere near 11 players then FH is better to use. But then I get the argument you may not be gaining many points from having players playing against each other. Hmmmm

    Which option looks best?

    A) Have just 7-8 players GW31, but save WC, FH and BB for DGW.

    B) Play WC now, have 11 players out GW31, but have to start building a team for GW37 when using a BB.

Is 7-8 players enough? 3x Pool, 3x Wolves, Pope and Sarr.

Want an arsenal player probably but don't really want to ship anyone except maybe Grealish and Vardy, and even they could punish me. Not looking to FH in 31.
    A) Vardy, Grealish > Auba, Saka -4 (both blank 31)
    B) Vardy, Grealish > Auba, Cantwell -4 (Play Soyuncu this week, Cantwell used for gw31 - only if Norwich lose tonight)

    Arsenal and Man City will:
    - blank in GW31
    - not have a double in GW34

As a result, bringing them in now isn't particularly helpful for future transfer planning!?
