Whether you have an abundance of Fantasy Premier League chips or none remaining, this latest episode of the Scoutcast has got you covered.

Joe is joined by Lateriser and Andy to look ahead to Gameweek 31+ and beyond, with a close eye on chip strategy.

Lateriser is among the many FPL managers to take advantage of unlimited transfers in Gameweek 30+ and use their Bench Boost chip. With his Wildcard now in play, he reveals the players in his thinking and how best to navigate the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, Joe only has a Bench Boost to fall back on. Our trio looks at the best Gameweeks to consider using not only this chip, but other remaining chips too.

Andy has used all his chips but after tinkering during lockdown with his team, he feels he is in good shape to match his chip-happy rivals.

Among the issues they discuss are what to do with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.0m), who blanked in his last two run-outs but has two good fixtures ahead and enticing underlying stats too.

Sticking with the Gunners, there are replacement goalkeepers to mull over, after Bernd Leno (£5.0m) suffered a nasty knock against Brighton at the weekend.

The best Liverpool assets, whether Manchester City can be swerved temporarily and the unlikely appeal of Newcastle United are also in the mix.

In this packed 75-minute show, the Scoutcasters also find time to look at the best clean sheet prospects. Lateriser takes his turn to pick a differential and there are Gameweek 31+ squads to reveal.

Who will they captain and which players can help propel them up the rankings?

Well, after a blistering start, stumbled over the line there. Can't complain about 121 points though, but now have to take 8-point hit.
So, City. Without Aguero does that mean Jesus nailed, or will Pep resort to the old Sterling up top trick again?

He mentioned in pre-match that Jesus can also play on the left, so maybe there's plenty of minutes in store for him...

Raz and Jesus to rotate, or both start and switch positions?

Surely he won't play on the left if he's the only fit striker? It'll either be Jesus or Sterling up top. Not sure I'd call him properly nailed, but Jesus should get a lot more minutes until the end of the season, including a few 90s - very interested in getting him after the Liverpool game

Probably a good pick now, decent price. I've got Raz, hoping he gets 90 on Thursday.

What do we think is the best opportunity for Triple Captain left?

    a) Bruno GW31 v Sheffield
    b) Mane GW33 v Villa
    c) [City] GW38 v Norwich
    d) other

    1. Andy_Social

      a) I'm putting the armband on Fernandes this GW but I'm concerned he won't get 90 mins.
      b) Liverpool will have the title sewn up and Mane might get rested.
      c) A team on the beach - who knows who'll start.

      Any other options?

Tough to call seeing as the season's almost over.

    Dubravka 3.9
    Trent Doherty Maguire (Taylor Kiko)
    Richarlison KDB Mane Son Fernandes

Rashford, I read he and fernandes will rotate penalties, so I’m kinda counting on 2 things: 1. hoping the next pk goes to Rashford 2. OGS picks ighalo for the fa cup game and plus Rashford this gw

    Pope (3.9)
    TAA Doherty Boly (Lascelles) (Kiko)
    Salah KDB Son Fernandes (Hayden)
    Rashford Jimenez Ings

    Dilemmas include...

Pope vs Foster. Is Burnley on the beach?

Is Salah out of form or injured, or do I keep for two weeks and see?

Had Mahrez and sold him. Not many teams with him. I still think he's got amazing points in him if he gets minutes. Is he being overlooked?

No Everton but Ings could go to DCL in a couple of weeks (after Arsenal and Watford).

Any thoughts would be most welcome if someone wants to take the time to stop and chat. 🙂

    1. Garth Marenghi

    2. Rasialdo10
      • 8 Years
      6 years, 12 hours ago

Burnley on the beach and also having trouble fielding starting 11 , would move Pope to foster/Patricio is able to afford

Salah most likely still gaining fitness, will probably start against palace

Pep is Pep, he will hit the rotation roulette as usual

I would still go DCL over Ings this week, Arsenal desperate for a win , on the other hand norwich looks down and out and cant defend

Team looks pretty decent other otherwise

Fellow Mahrez owners on wildcard, after his scintillating performance today and early sub, do we:

    - keep him and hope he starts against Chelsea and continues his good form (playing against Alonso who can’t defend) or

    - take the points from this week and move him on (maybe for Alli?)

Changing Fernandez to Lascalles will improve a bench spot

Isn't Fernandez a better option than lascelles. I want the best 11 possible

I don’t think so to justify the price difference.

If Robbo is confirmed out then yes, I’d do the 2nd one. Otherwise do something like Grealish to Sarr for free.

Jimenez doesn't really scream captain option - he very rarely gets more than 1 return in a game. Of those I'd probably go for Fernandes or Mane.

      Probably B
I have Mane and DCL but might have gone Salah if I could afford it but maxed out on a very similar team

I really don’t know what I was think playing FH rather than WC for 31 My thinking was I didn’t want too many city and pool players til after they played each other but pool probably on the beach by then anyway. Just a pity I can’t turn by FH into a WC as they are basically the same team- bad snap decision even when I was advised on here to just take loads of hits and decide which chip to play later but that as we know comes with its own risks.

Only thing worse than that is being the one who advised you that and also hitting free hit early. Haha. I'm starting to feel the same, my FH team is not that different to most wild cards on here, but then again the template might be much different in 2 weeks time and I have a decent enough team for next week
