Harry Kane‘s (£10.5m) end to the 2019/20 season suggests he could be the key asset for those looking to tap into Spurs’ appealing fixtures this time around.

Jose Mourinho’s men sit second on the Season Ticker for attacking potential over the first six Gameweeks, based on their opponents.

During this period they host Everton, Newcastle and West Ham while they’re road trips take them to Southampton, Manchester United and Burnley.

Spurs players had not appeared in too many Fantasy Premier League drafts before Thursday’s fixture release, but now that we know the schedules, Mourinho’s charges have become more popular.

As Fantasy managers search for the best way to invest in Spurs’ attack, Son Heung-min (£9.0m) and Kane are the front-runners, currently sat in 18% and 14.5% of squads respectively.

Ahead of the new season, we have compared how these two attackers performed during Project Restart. As this uses Opta data, only those with a valid Fantasy Football Scout subscription can access it in full.

What were Son and Kane’s average positions?

Do we expect Arsenal to be much better this season? Auba as a mid option has had him in everyone of my drafts but they have signed no one bar Willian.

Auba and a 4.5 mid fodder
    Or
    Son and Greenwood(bench gw1)

If the rumours are true and We get Gabriel and Partey/Aouar we are much better. Problem last season after restart was lack of central creativity. William tipped to played at CAM to fix that. Also Auba scored 22 goals in a worse team you could say

Auba as MID will be great this year. Mark my words, many of you keep him as a placeholder for MU and City players, but you gonna see that many of you would not do that swap.

I’ve got auba son and greenwood on the bench as well as tierny I think arsenal will be quite strong but targeting the first 2 games of course

on an upward trajectory, but not enough to be top 4.
will be good in patches, Auba is the only one i would look at if fixtures are ripe.
potential value in Saliba & Martinelli, and either of the goalkeepers.
shame Tierney is 5.5 i thought he would be a standout pick.

Agree. Auba for those first 2 fixtures. I'm waiting to see how things settle down as I consider Martinez, Saliba, Saka, Nketiah.

Defo believe Barnes is the better asset to own between the two, the game time he has though is an issue. It was clear during and prior to restart that Barnes energizes that attack ALOT, in fairness he needs to be more clinical and a bit more luck but assists are there and it was annoying as hell last season to notice Rodgers being oblivious to this as far as locking him in a starting slot, him and Vardy combine exceptionally too imo.

For interest, Barnes played less and got more assists (10 vs 5) and same goals (6) as Maddy last season

Arsenal defense wasn't that bad at the end of the season. Don't believe in Mitro for GW1

Mitro v Soucek doesn’t seem a like for like sort of decision to me though, although I get that the fixtures favour Soucek. He’s so central to Fulham’s attack and has just had a 26 goal season.

      • 14 Years

I’d rather have a premium defender like Doherty or VVD than Maddison. Pretty sure I’d play Mitro over Soucek. Always risky benching a player who takes pens.

Should Aurier leave then they would need to sign another rb/rwb as thye have none in the current first team squad. Foyth can play there but is more adapt to cb and apart from him no other options exist currently. Academy or transfer would be needed to fill Aurier's spot

      1. Z

Keep Aurier until he is gone....or just have Dier and save 0.5 (but if u have that extra 0.5 Aurier is better choice)

    4. Dr. Rog

      Toby/Dier/Sanchez occupy two slots.
Davies seems reasonably nailed at LB, but has some competition from Sessegnon (might play Europa?)
RB should be Aurier, but if he is leaving then... i dunno

Not nailed even though imo he's better than what we have but if you have space for a 4.5 4th defender it should be him. If you want returns rn KWP is the more safe nailed option.

    Ox out for 6-8 weeks.

Henderson & Matip likely to miss the Community Shield.

Think I’m settled for now. GW2 mane -> Fernandez, GW3 auba -> de Bruyne and can do soucek to greenwood, mitro to jiminez or bring in Liverpool/Doherty for a hit GW3 if need be. 0.5 itb

    Martinez
    TAA, vinagre, KWP
    Salah, auba, mane, Armstrong, soucek
    Mitro, Werner

Nyland, Ferguson, Johnson, 4.5 fwd (Hopefully Brewster)

Taa Robertson and Doherty have changed the game for me. How many players at that price point can you be sure will score close to 200 points? The answer is not that many. I plan on holding all 3 for as long as possible and letting the law of averages work its way. If budget defenders pop up they'll be my 4th and 5th defenders. I like the thought of blocking 3 spots and working with less variables. Will take a lot of mental fortitude to do it for the long term.. but oh well. I'm gonna try atleast

I always imagine that I'm gonna have taa robbo doh at one point..but there are so many 4.5d with great potential plus I'm not sure if I have the patience to hold those 3 for long. Planned to get doh early but not liking his early fixtures.

I'm not a fan of the early wildcard, yes it'll probably gain you points and you'll get the jump on people but there's too much unknown about this season, especially with the pandemic and winter season

Last year I didn’t use until GW19 when I didn’t even change anything. After the first 5/6 weeks you don’t need it. I can do Mane and Auba to KDB and Fernandes easily instead

I'm a new member and would appreciate some feedback on this draft...

    McCarthy (Nyland)
    TAA, Robertson, Vinagre (Lamptey, Ferguson)
    Salah, Auba, Ziyech, Maddison, Soucek
    Werner, Adams (Davis)

Plan is to keep TAA and Robertson for as much of the season as possible. I think there's more value in this than downgrading Robertson and upgrading Soucek. I'll be rotating Soucek with Lamptey (or another 4.5 def) throughout.

Early transfer plans will be Auba to KDB/Sterling and Maddison to Greenwood.

Werners ownership is scary. I’m not even sure if he starts from the get go considering how well Giroud finished.

I’m stuck on Tierney and Ings or 4.5 and Werner.

I’m taking the punt on Werner and if he doesn’t do well it’s an easy switch to Martial. Ings would require a hit to get Martial or even Werner

Most likely to start on LW I’d say but can still score. Easy downgrade to martial Jiménez or ings if he happens to not though
